Savos's prediction came true as over the next month all manner of people came to the new winterhold to behold its reborn state. interesting enough was that majority of the people who stayed were those of the dunmer that were being mistreated in windhelm's gray quarter. the fact that the statue of azura was a short distance away was just icing on the cake for the dunmer. korir had some qualms with the new residents but wisely kept them to himself when he noticed a rapid improvement in winterhold after the hardworking dunmer people arrived.

Alastair was sitting in his residence located on the outer reaches of winterhold with the entrance above the waves while most of the actual important parts were below the sea. across from him a tall brown haired nord man sat looking out the windows at the seabed in awe. "so what can i do for you brynjolf of the thieves guild?" alastair asked while smirking at brynjolf's reaction to being exposed. "i admit being on the receiving end of the enigma feeling is quite off putting , i'm used to being on the other end of this scenario." the man admitted honestly.

"I take it you are here about the several thieves who have vanished after trying to reach into my pocket yes?" alastair asked while maintaining his smirk. brynjolf maintained his cool despite being in an uncomfortable position. "i can tell trying to pull you about will only end up poorly for my associates and myself so I'll just be straight with you." brynjolf said seriously before continuing. "we would like to see our people returned and at the same time maybe even reach some sort of business agreement." he finished while watching alastair for his reaction but alastair gave nothing away.

"This is possible but how would you like a deal so sweet it would give you cavities?" alastair asked calmly. brynjolf's eyes lit up "what did you have in mind?" he asked interested. "as you have probably figured out since so many of your people have tried to steal from me including the blonde woman vex , is that i have some things that are extremely precious due to my unknown origins. what you don't know are what those are , but would you like to?" alastair put the bait out now he needed to see if brynjolf took it.

Brynjolf nodded eagerly taking the bait hook line and sinker making alastairs smirk widen. reaching into thin air alastair pulled out two items a small chest the size of a matchbox with silver vine inscriptions and a bright green branch of wood. "in the box is a medicine capable of actually curing almost any ailment and this branch comes from a very special tree , try and snap it." alastair offered both of the items to brynjolf who looked at them suspiciously especially the small box. in the end brynjolf took alastairs suggestion and tried to snap the branch but was astonished to discover how ridiculously sturdy it was after failing.

Brynjolf looked at the box with a fervent gaze when he discovered the uniqueness of the wood alone and if the medicine worked as said would be worth cities alone. "i plan to plant a few acres of this wood nearby as well as the materials for the medicine as well , i was wondering were i might find a distributer for them?" alastair asked with a teasing grin. brynjolf could practically see the gold rolling in from such things and jumped on the opportunity like a starving man to food.

The two reached an agreement that when the things were ready to be sold the thieves guild would be in charge of the sale of them at a twenty percent profit cost. this meant the thieves guild would gain twenty percent of the gold earned from the sales of the items which would likely reach astronomical levels. "oh and brynjolf be sure to remind your associates not to get greedy or i'll make molag bal look like a saint compared to what i'll do to you." alastair said while pressuring the man with his mana and haki. brynjolf got the message loud and clear and promised to be vigilant in his reminders.

The imprisoned members of the thieves guild left with brynjolf but not before vex vented her grievances for alastairs frankly crazy security. apparently vex had tried to infiltrate the ship but ended up in a silk bondage when she alerted spider by opening the door to his room. when alastair collected her from spider she was strung up in an embarrassing manner. ironically it actually wasn't vex who came closest to the treasure vault but a new thief who ignored the small gains in the rooms and wanted to go after the haul on the bottom level.
