In the hallway, there are many students outside of their classes, numerous eyes are pointed towards me. I became the center of attention, as I passed by them where my feet are taking me to Yuki’s class to get the sulking Yuki. On the way to Yuki’s class, three young ladies blocked my way with their twinkling eyes. I can’t help myself but feel confused about the three because they’re shyly fidgeting with their eyes, or acting cutely in front of me.
“Um, how may I help you?”
We are the center of attention because we’re standing in the hallway where numerous people are walking past us. After asking them, one of them spoke with a bashful tone.
“Can—”
However, before she could even say anything, someone called out my name with a hint of anger in the voice. The three girls and I looked in the direction of where the voice came from. What we saw is a beautiful young lady with a white ribbon tied hanging on the side of her glamorous silver hair. Her face has a plastered smile looking at us, mostly to the three girls in front of me.
Upon seeing Yuki, the three cowered back away from her because Yuki’s eyes are not smiling. Because of that, the three girls left me alone. After leaving me, Yuki was approaching with an angry look in her eyes. No kidding, I’m was about to run away from Yuki when I saw her.
I smiled stiffly and greeted Yuki. “Hello, Yu-chan.”
“What are you doing here?” Yuki angrily said.
“Do I need a reason to do so?”
That made her think, but in the end, Yuki puffed her cheeks cutely in annoyance. I don’t even know what irked her to get upset by my response. I’m correct, I don’t need any reason to meet or go here. Her cutesy act captured the heart of every man around us—Even me.
Yuki stayed silent, but she just essentially took my hand, dragging me away. But we got stopped by a sudden voice, screaming her name. “Yuki-san!”
We turned our heads toward the one calling Yuki. A tall handsome guy was approaching us with a friendly smile on his face but that changed when he saw Yuki holding my hands. Yet in a split second, he managed to bring back his composure. I wonder if this guy is part of a sports club because he’s taller than, and got a good body figure which is being complemented by his fit uniform.
Yuki turned her head with her knitted eyebrows, she’s clearly annoyed but it only made it worse when the guy suddenly appeared. “What do you want?” Yuki said in annoyance.
Ignoring her tone, he continued and got closer. But I moved in between so that the guy won’t get closer to Yuki. He noticed it and glared at me. So in response, I sternly looked at him. He’s taller than me so I’m not sure if it would scare him, but it made him cautious of me before he back away a little. Regaining his composure once again, he replied to Yuki.
“I’ve noticed that you’re in a grim mood, so I opted on inviting you to lunch with me.” He smiled charmingly, which charmed the others. But not Yuki, who’s solemnly staring at him.
I butted in between by asking Yuki who’s the guy. “Who’s he Yu-chan? Another admirer?”
When I called Yuki that way, his eyes darkened, piercing my back with his not-so-scary glare. Why are these people who pursue Naoki and Yuki always have the same pattern? Their thought process is something that I’m amazed and fascinated by it.
“No, just some dumb guy in my class who keeps pestering me.”
“So, he’s nothing?”
“Yeah, pretty much.”
“Yikes, sucks to be him, I can’t imagine myself acting like a dumbtard just to get an attention of a girl who clearly shows no sign of interest in him.”
With our exchange of words, the surroundings became colder and the people are baffled by our conversation. Not only I added fuel to the fire, but I also made sure that the guy will hear it. I stopped caring about my image in school last week. They can slander or speak ill behind my back. I won’t care anymore.
The guy’s face was red, gritting his teeth while knitting his eyebrows heavily, raging at the fact he got embarrassed because many people who heard it are laughing or suppressing their laughter. Who can deny the fact that Yuki acted coldly towards the guy, but he kept pestering her—That screams desperation.
From the look in his eyes, he’s clearly trying to blame me on the situation that he himself created, blaming me for everything. If I could guess, he’s even blaming me for taking Yuki away. Watching them falling into despair is fascinating because at one point, once they started to drown in their misery, the helpless expression they’ll show me are fascinating to watch.
It may sound evil, but I only feel this way about arrogant people who deserve it.
The guy was standing there frozen. So Yuki and I left him there hanging with his pride—Not, really. The mere few exchanges of words we did are nothing in comparison to degrading one’s dignity. Words can be powerful and creative, as it conveys messages we express.
Openly saying those things to him would probably get him more desperate or if he’s smart he would back down, but that’s unlikely to happen.
Walking right beside Yuki, as her hands didn’t let go from the start, she’s clutching it tightly. Her moody behavior probably stems from me, then it only got worse by the guy earlier. So I took the initiative to ask her something.
“Just how many guys are pestering you?”
“Probably a few in my class, then some more when walking alone around the school.”
“Even when they knew you came from an influential family?”
“They’re stupid. Greed and lust are all over their body, it’s so obvious. What can I say, most of them are spoiled rich brats, anyway.”
Oh yeah, this is a private school but they’re generous when it comes to scholarships, as to why many people attend here. I totally forgot about that.
“Are you okay?”
“I am not because of two people.”

“Come on, I already apologized about that, it’s a ‘spur of the moment.’. Can’t you forgive me?”
“No.”
“How about this, I’ll let you decide the time and date?”
“Later.”
“For real?”
“I am.”
“Uh... I—”
“No buts, you’ll go with me.”
“What about—”
“We’ll send Naoki first.”
“Then—”
“No.”
“Yes...”
With my defeat, I surrendered myself to Yuki. Our conversation stayed inconspicuous since there are people around who can hear us. Yuki’s condescending responses are really over the top. I can’t even make a single repute against her. She’s speaking over me whenever I try to say something. What can I say, she’s clearly upset by that fact. Otherwise, it could lead to disputes which is what I want to avoid at all costs.

Time passed by quickly.
I’m laying down in Yuki’s car on the way to her mansion after dropping off Naoki at her house. Neither Naoki and I expected Yuki would be this stubborn, we didn’t expect her to be so jealous about it. That’s why Naoki accepted it wholeheartedly that Yuki will take me this all by herself.
Am I an object?
Earlier, nothing happened. Yokota ignored me all day, which gained Arima’s attention and kept persisting me with questions of what happened. He stopped when I said it’s more of a personal problem. I’m glad that Arima is an understanding guy, he’s a great friend. I don’t know why those childhood friends of his wasted it.
Then the club happened, Shiori was nowhere to be seen. Yuki told me that Shiori was present in her class, but her presence was nowhere to be seen in the club. Furthermore, the dating couples of Kanemoto-senpai and Maeda-senpai kept a distance from me and with each other, as they’re probably trying not to make any obvious movement. They became wary of my existence. Although they acted normal during the club, I could feel the awkward atmosphere between the two while they’re with Rin-senpai.
Honestly, I feel bad for the guy.
Anyhow, there’s one thing that I noticed. No one in school mentioned anything about Shiori kissing me or any related rumors about me. They became more chummy with me though mostly the girls. Well, unlike last week, some of my male classmates started talking to me which made me happy. The stranger vibe is still there but at least there’s progress.
One more thing that needs to be addressed, it’s about Nagasawa and his gang. They started ignoring me ever since the last time I met them when Yuki, Naoki, and I went shopping after the cafe. The sudden change of behavior bamboozled me. Ignoring me completely, as if I don’t exist in the world.
Then on Ide-san’s case, after our little talk from last week. She gradually distanced herself from them, though at the cost of being alone all day. Ide-san has completely shut herself out from interacting with others. I discussed it with Arima before he went to the club earlier, but the response that I got was silence. He didn’t say anything and only said, he’ll try talking out to her with a smile. The way he said that to me had many mixed expressions, such as pain, guilt, and sadness.
The thing that I realized about Arima’s personality, he likes to smile. I don’t question his smiles, but it’s giving me an odd feeling whenever he would smile. Either forced or natural. Those are the smiles he would often use in front of me.
Now, back to the topic of me going to Yuki’s mansion. After dropping off Naoki, I stayed in the car as per Yuki’s sincere request if I could call it like that. Anyway, Yuki got Aunt’s approval because of something related to ‘gramps’ as an excuse she created to get her approval. Plus, if I got out of the car, the little girl would stick to me like glue unless she’s asleep. I’ll probably spoil her a lot tomorrow.
During our trip, Yuki and I sat in silence. I’m trying to think of a topic we could talk about, but seeing Yuki’s tense appearance. I can’t help myself but get worried.
“Yuki, if you’re scared, then we could do it next time. I already told you, the thing happened quickly because of the atmosphere.”
“I-I am not!” Yuki retorted.
I chuckled. “Hahaha, look at your tense figure. Did Naoki told you something?”
“N-Nothing...”
“Come here.” I patted my thigh.
Yuki did what I asked and went closer. Upon getting closer, I wrapped around her waist and rest my head against her shoulder. Then said. “Don’t worry, I’ll take care of it.”
“Okay...” Yuki bashfully replied.
