It was a foggy cold morning as Viaan shuffled his feet through the dewy green grass to the large house that stood at the top of the small mound. The door is kicked open to having Rowan nearly smack the boy in the face.
"Oh…it's you…Declan's kid." Rowan scoffed.
"I was forced to come here!" Viaan insisted.
"I would have preferred, Declan," Rowan said.
"What does Declan even do for you?" Viaan pondered.
"Well don't just wait there! Come inside!" Rowan scolded.
Walking inside the dusty kitchen he sees someone in the corner doing something. Her hair was pinned into ponytails topped with pink bows dressed in gingham packing things into a wicker basket.
A pump was the last thing loaded making Viaan curious. Turning around he noticed it was the weeping girl from yesterday.
"Oh, hello!" She smiled.
"Hi?"
Viaan was suspicious of these people and due to this fact, he had been forced here super early in the morning to do things he wasn't sure about.
"I am visiting Declan to make sure he is taken care of." She explained.
"Will he ever wake up?" Viaan questioned.
"Of course, he will, but I am unsure when…"
Her voice trailed off. He didn't understand altogether the sadness on her lips. She took off out the door letting the aged door smash into the frame. Rowan motioned for Viaan who trailed behind the seasoned warrior.
"How the hell did you end up here anyway?" Rowan asked.
"What do you mean?" Viaan answered.
"I mean…I don't know what I mean…" Rowan snapped.
"Does this have to do with the death in your family?" Viaan asked.
"Kinda…I needed Declan…" Rowan scoffed.
"Is there anything I can do to help?" Viaan questioned.
"You are a kid, but…I think you can."
"Can what?" Viaan questioned.
"I will explain to Iden later, but for now come with me." Rowan spouted.
Dashing into the house past the staircase they go upstairs past several doors to a large set of ornate double doors made of polished cherry wood to find a small library inside where Walker and Sahil were sitting in large black leather seats.
"Viaan?" Sahil said.
"Since Declan is out of order I need you to help my boy here." Rowan spouted.
"Did Mr. Iden approve this?" Walker argued.
"We can't take him without paperwork, Rowan!" Sahil answered.
"Is Mr. Iden in?" Rowan stated.
"Hmmm…" Sahil mumbled.
"That's the thing we haven't seen him at all today," Walker replied.

"What do you mean? Do you know where he went?" Rowan shouted.
He became nervous. Ever since the death of the eldest brother Rowan has been on edge. Iden's grief was taken out on Declan nearly killing him.
"We can check for you. You really shouldn't be leaving till the members arrive." Walker explained.
"I will go, Walker," Sahil commented.
He left swiftly out the exit. Viaan turned to Walker and Rowan waiting for a response when Rowan ran to the desk to check the calendar he had marked below for today.
"Viaan, you are coming with me!" Rowan yelled.
"What is going on?" Viaan asked.
"No time, but trust me!" Rowan shouted.
Back out the door to the stables to meet a woman with platinum blonde hair and red eyes staring at him dressed in a rose pink blouse and long mint green long skirt giving him a smile.
"Welcome, Master Rowan." She greeted.
"Dress me a horse now please!" Rowan insisted.
They sat outside a little far from the fields where they were getting exercise. He waited squarely ten minutes before the woman brought out a beautiful horse of fine calico color.
Viaan had never seen a horse before in his whole life. Rowan mounted the horse giving Viaan a hand to get onto the saddle to sit behind him.
"Stop being stiff! Relax!" Rowan scolded.
Despite what he had been told he couldn't completely drop his guard on the horse as it charged towards the main road. An unfinished dirt road in the middle of the forest had been made that he had never seen before.
A small wooden structure could be seen in the distance. They galloped on steady. Viaan could hear Rowan sigh the further they got down in the woodland.
"Do…not…speak…" Rowan whispered.
This only heightened Viaan's fear. The quietness of the branches falling into the underbrush. Birds being silhouetted against the setting sun taking off in two's and three's. Their flapping wings had Rowan on edge.
Very slowly he took his time leading the mare down the path. One step at a time had Viaan unsure of what was going on watching the navy blue and orange glazed across the sky while the clouds turned an ash grey in an array of shapes.
Doing as he was told he stayed quiet. Rowan grew a big smile on his face realizing it was nothing pulling up to the building. He hopped off as the horse came to a halt for Viaan to stay where he was in the case.
"MR.IDEN! MR.IDEN!" Rowan cried out.
No answer. He became curious and gradually explored the small hut of a home carrying to his side his weapon. He wasn't sure what to expect so he threads lightly gawking around for any movement.
"Mr. Iden…Mr. Iden! Please tell me if you are here." He called.
Snoring could be heard in the room next to the dining room. Rowan knocked several times before thrusting with all his might into smashing the hinges off the door itself into a heap on the floor.
BANG!
"What the absolute fuck, Rowan!" Iden shouted.
He had been sleeping the whole time. Iden was startled awake by the occurrence that lead to Rowan breaking the door down.
"I…so sorry, but I thought something was wrong?"
A smidge of doubt could be heard in his voice. Iden was not happy with the paraded warrior knocking down his house in the middle of the day.
"Perhaps I will come back another time…" Rowan smiled.
"You have already awoken me!" Now, what is it?!" Iden roared.
