Chapter 10: THE LAST HOPE

Sasuke's body was almost frozen. He was hardly breathing, and his skin became blue. His broken sword was lying beside him. The giant ape was lying dead a few meters from him as its body was burning in the black flames.

[Booom] A yellow flash landed before the dead ape. It was a man with golden hair, and a layer of golden energy was crackling around his body, keeping the harsh weather at bay.

"You foolish bastard. I told you to be careful and now look at you... Humff!!!" The Saiyan kicked the ape with a smirk on his face, "This is why I hate low-class trash like you, using that ugly primitive form to fight a human." His eyes went toward Sasuke.

The unknown Saiyan was in SSJ form, and his outfit was that of an older-generation Saiyan. His tail was wrapped around his hip, and a scouter was beeping on his right eye.

'To think that I need the help of a human to get out of this freaking place. Arggg!!! Pheww!!! But I wonder if my scouter is damaged!' He took off his scouter, 'It was only for a moment... But I know I saw it... A human with over 20k power level in his exhausted form... This is propostrous.'

He walked over to Sasuke and pulled him up in the air by grabbing his throat, "Oi, oi, oi... Don't you dare die on me!!!" He channeled a bit of his energy into Sasuke's body.

"Kuggg!!!" Sasuke opened his eyes. He didn't resist as he couldn't feel his body anymore due to the frostbite.

"I have annihilated many races through the galaxy but never encountered a mere human with such strength. As a warrior, I will kill you in your homeland, so open the portal to your world... I know you can do it with those weird eyes of yours," said the Saiyan with an arrogant voice. But before he could do anything, Sasuke exploded.

[Crackle] Lightning burst out from his body, momentarily paralyzing the arrogant Saiyan. It was a lightning clone.

"Haaaa!!!" The Saiyan screamed, raised his power level, and deflected the lightning blast, "Self-destruct!!! Damn you!!! Aaaargggg!!!" He yelled in anger. His last hope of escaping hell has disappeared.

"Wait!!!"

He activated his scouter and started to scan his surroundings. He remembered the weird cloning technique Sasuke used before to take down his minion's ape form. So he had a hunch that Sasuke was hiding somewhere.

However, it was a futile attempt. The blizzard storm was raging more furiously than before, disrupting the scouter's functions. It was just a piece of machine, so it had its limitations. On top of that, dark clouds and thunderclaps were sparking and rumbling in the sky.

Somewhere in that blizzard, a red eye was peeking at the Saiyan from a heap of snow. It's like a predator, stalking its prey and waiting for a perfect time to strike.

'Fuuu!!! Should I try to kill him or escape,' Sasuke thought.

He used his substitution scroll to lay that lightning clone trap when his Sharingan caught another energy signature while he was preparing his flame arrow for the final attack to kill that ape. It was a close call, but he managed to escape.

'I barely have enough chakra for the portal... Humm!' His eyes went toward the sky. The black clouds were brimming with sparks of thunder, 'That will keep him busy...'

Sasuke summoned a small Chidori on his left palm. His eyes were on the glowing enemy, "Kirin..." He raised his hand toward the sky, sending out a small spark of his thunder chakra in the sky.

[**Developed by Sasuke himself, Kirin is a Lightning Release technique that draws on the power of natural lightning to bolster the amount of damage given. Controlling the lightning with his chakra, Sasuke was able to generate an attack so powerful it managed to destroy a mountain.**]

As such, a major downside of this technique is that its power levels are reliant on the environment, with the alternative being artificial storm clouds generated by other Jutsus that may require chakra usage. [Crackle] [Rumble] The thunder began to crackle hard and started to take the form of a dragon's head.

Sasuke was lucky because he had never imagined that the thunder in the storm clouds was that abundant. It was the biggest and most destructive Kirin he had ever summoned.

The Saiyan noticed the sudden change in the atmosphere. He was frantically looking around to find Sasuke, but to no avail, "Stop hiding and face me like a man!!!" He yelled in anger.

"Die!!!" Sasuke pointed his hand toward the Saiyan. A bright blue thunder dragon descended from the sky, tearing apart the blizzard storm, and rushed toward the Saiyan.

"You freaking monster!!!" The Saiyan raised his hand over his head and quickly summoned a dark green energy ball, "Allow me to show you the difference in our power... Blaster Stream Attack..." He threw a giant energy beam toward the dragon.

[**Blaster Stream Attack is a concentrated beam of energy generally used for a single target attack. Its power is strong enough to vaporize a mountain in a blink of an eye**]

Sasuke took this chance to open a portal to the Hidden Leaf village and jumped into it, leaving the arrogant Saiyan in that desolate white world.

[Crack] [Clinkk!] A black tear appeared in the sky.

[Rawrrrrr!!!!] A blood-curdling roar swept over the world.

"Well, Shit!!!" Evans muttered. Although he couldn't see, the roar was enough for him to guess the enemy, "Don't just stand in a daze... The Jutsu!!! Use it... NOW!!!"

Naruto hurriedly open the bandage on his right arm, revealing some weird black writing, "Granny Tsunade!" He looked toward Tsunade and shook his head.

"Who will go?" Tsunade inquired.

Evans looked toward Naruto, but he shooked his head with a grim smile, "I can't... This Jutsu requires another thing apart from a chakra crystal..." Naruto said.

"A life?!" Evans stuttered.

"You should go. You are the only one who knows the enemy better than anyone. Please help us to become stronger and prevent this destruction from ever happening. I am putting my trust in you... Please," Naruto bowed before Evans.

"He is right. Our Jutsus are useless against them, and only you know how to destroy them... I agree with Naruto," said Gaara in his usual emotionless voice.

Both Sakura and Tsunade agreed. They know the harsh truth that if one of their own travels to the past, then things might get complicated. And on top of that, they have no info on the enemies. So, Evans was their only choice.

**Travel to the past and prevent the destruction of the Ninja world**

'What the...?' Evans heard a weird robotic voice in his head. However, he didn't have the liberty to think or wait.

"I promise you all... I will fix this mess at any cost," Evans grabbed Naruto's shoulder, "Trust me..." He said with an assuring smile.

"We need chakra... A massive amount of chakra" said Tsunade. She bit the tip of her finger and dropped her blood on the writings on Naruto's arm.

Evans grabbed his arm and began to pour his energy into it.

[Rawrrrrr!!!] [Booom] A 10 feet tall gorilla-looking hollow jumped down from the tear in the sky and began to gather a Cero in front of his mouth. The dark red ball of destruction was glowing and shrinking.

"Freaking hell, a cero!!! F*ck!!!... More!!!" Evans barely caught a glimpse of the hollow. He poured as much energy as he could into the weird Jutsu.

[Zing] "CERO!" It threw the energy beam toward the survivors.

"Susanoo!!!" Sasuke appeared in the nick of time and used his Susanoo. At this point, he was burning his life essence to buy them enough time to complete the process, "Haaaa!!!"

The Cero struck the Susanoo.

At the same time, the Space and Time Jutsu finally activated. Evans' body started to fade away along with Naruto's.

[Wooosh] Everything stopped. It was as if they were stuck in time. Then, everything disappeared like a wisp of wind.
