Chapter 13, Gorgon-alien-mission, Screw-ups.
Osaka’s bay.
As the Tokyo’s gantz team lander near Osaka water front, they immediately started to follow the one who among them, had the bulkiest armor.
“Careful of the buildings around us, don’t let you be taken by surprise.”
They were going fast to a special meeting point in the Osaka Business Park. The HUD they all had on their helmets were showing green dots on their destination.
“Care to explain why they are in green and us in blue?” Asked Kurono.
“Standard army display for friendly, foes and neutral units on ground. Blue is friendly, red are foes, and green mean neutral or unknown.” Responded Takashi.
“Why are they not in blue like us?” Followed Kurono.
“Osaka’s gantz team are weird for our standards. Like Izumi-weird. Don’t trust anyone of them and always stay in pairs at least.”
They walked fast, checking their surrounding along the way.
“Here they come”. Said Takashi.
The group saw a show of power, cruelty, gore and madness. Some three feet tall aliens were slaughtered everywhere. Their nails, teeth, snakes hair, or lamia tail were useless to fight against their murderers. With a cacophony of almost ultrasonic-high screams, the aliens were sliding on the ground, fleeing for their lives.
One member was driving on a gantz bike over the small aliens. It’s giant unique wheel greasy with the alien’s blood and gore. A trio of them were shooting the aliens to cause as much pain as possible without killing them while a fourth were giving them advice like a sadistic leader. Two of the girls among them were on the side, spectating, while the last one was the only one killing their targets normally. One guy was groping one of the girls, almost taking her breasts out of her suit without anyone reacting, not even her. But the worst of them was the almost naked one, busy as he was raping one alien after the other, not caring which orifice he used.
“Can I kill him?” Asked Sei, on their private communication chanel.
“Which one?” Said Kaze, breaking his usual silent attitude.
“Either one.”
“Calm down team, I would love nothing better than to wipe the ground with their faces now but we still need them.” Said Takashi.
“How are we supposed to go and meet them?” Asked Kato.
“With the way they’re acting? Better do it with a blast. They won’t take us seriously if we show any weakness.”
The group aimed their weapons and, on Takashi’s mark shouted simultaneously, killing almost three dozen aliens in a short sequence.
The Osaka’s team showed surprise as none of them was covering their back until then. They were quick to point their guns on the Tokyo’s team, until the perv groping the girl, raised his hand to stop them.
“Wow, what do we have here. Some new faces to play with?”
Takashi was looking straight at him, even if it was hard to tell under his helmet. Giving a clue to the rest of his group, he opened his, showing his face.
“Yo, pretty boy, are you the lead here?”
Takashi was playing hard to get, gazing at each member of the Osaka’s team intently.
“Should we divide the town or mix our group?”

“For what?”
“Hunting the aliens, you know? The mission gantz gave to each of us.”
Their argument was suddenly cut short by some huges series of screams, coming from the bay. And while the Tokyo team reacted as one and pointed all their weapons on the origin of the screams, their Osaka’s counterpart only looked that way.
“Team 1 hold this position, team 2 explore the bay’s front. Kill all enemies on sight, report any anomalies and protect the civilians.” Said Takashi, as he bent his knees, before using his suit’s thrusters to gain high.
Osaka’s bay’s sea front.
Reika’s point of view.
Osaka is the third biggest town of Japan. From the technologies societies’ modern building to the Osaka castle, the city is a land of wonder for all visitors. But the young girl hiding behind an advertisement board had none of it in mind right now. The only thing preventing her own mouth to scream was the fist she was biting in.
A whole bank of nightmarish creatures were jumping dozen after dozen out of the sea. They looked like the top half of naked women, theirs almost non existent breast fully visible. Their faces had yellow bright eyes, glowing in the night. Their hairs were meter long snakes, hissing in every direction. The bottom of their bodies were huge snake tails, like the lamias of the fairy-tales.
Reika ran for her life, trying to hide behind a building or something, her plushy forgotten after she dropped it in fright. One of her slippers was missing, her foot bleeding from something she stepped on. All the people she tried to talk to and call for help showed no reaction at all. She finally understood that none could ear her, help her or save her. She was hiding behind a bush when a clawed hand grabbed her arm from behind.
Osaka’s business park.
Kurono’s, Kishimoto’s and Kato’s view.
The trio from Tokyo was holding it’s ground, Kurono and Kishimoto with a pair of guns and a rifle, Kato with the sword he favored. The only one of the Osaka’s members that stayed with them was the young woman who was killing aliens earlier.
As the flock of Gorgon-aliens reached them, the trio from Tokyo opened fire immediately. Kato protecting them as a close combat fighter. His sword was reaping the alien one after the other, sometimes he was lucky to kill them in pairs, but it was difficult as they were quick to jump unlike the real snakes they took their body parts from.
When one of the aliens was close to rip the Osaka woman apart as she was overwhelmed and on her back, Kato beheaded the menace, saving her. His action let the woman startled as her team never had this kind of comportment.
“Stay here, don’t let them surround you. I’m going after the one went past us”. Said Kato, who started to run. He was quickly followed by the curious Osaka woman.
Osaka’s bay’s sea front.
Kaze’s and Sei’s view.
The unarmed-close-combat specialist and the mixed combat one were holding their ground shielding the unaware civilians from danger. Kaze was grabbing alien after alien before ripping them apart, flaying them against their specie, throwing them when needed, either against a building solid part or another alien, most of the time killing both or more on impact, when he wasn’t just maiming them. Sei wasn’t left behind as she used the growing blades from her suit and her gun at the same time, acting as a close to mid-range fighter in their duo.
They were still behind the merchant of death that was Takashi. Each time one of the canons along his arms glowed, a shot killed the alien by one, by pairs, or more. Facing the enemy head on, he was holding his ground at the limit of the sea front, turning on himself to look for targets everywhere.
As there were finally no more enemies in front of him, he took a moment to inspect his location along the sea front.
Seeing a white spot further away from him, he activated the zooming function of his helmet. What he recognize then almost broke his heart.
Osaka’s business park.
Reika was in tears right now. First she appeared in this town she didn’t know how, then she saw this strange peoples followed by this scary creatures. Some of them attacking people when no one was looking. She tried to hide, but one of this monsters found her and attacked her, tearing her pajamas’ top which alas showed to all some of her assets. All got worst then, as one of the black-suited-man grabbed her, his gaze full of madness and lust.
“Ah ah, lookie, lookie here, ah ah ah. It must really be my lucky day. Don’t worry Missy, uncle Kuwabara will take good care of you.”
