Chapter 6: Ch6 Opening the shop

Lara was sitting on the porch waiting for Tal. After s while she thought about how her life would flow from now on. Oh if she knew how wrong her mind was painting her future.

"Here I have a cook!" Tal appeared with a middle-aged man with full beard in his hand. Lara saw the fear and trembling man and was perplexed. Did he just go and kidnapp a person?!

Tal let go of Alejandro and the latter immediately kneeled while kowtowing.

"Oh great Lord of the First Peak, please for your friendship with my master, please don't hurt this poor cook!"

Lara was frightend when she saw the man quivering in fear. Was that person a demon? Why would anybody be that scared of someone?

"Jenny already gave her ok, no worries. I know how much of a foodie she is. I had to hunt a Toatie once for her. Glutton is her middle name. Also don't call me that. Just Tal will do. This girl is Lara, here words are mine, as long you are here. Lara this is Alejandro! I may not know much about eating and drinking but this man here can make a godly meal out of everyday ingridients."

Tal left the couple and went into the shop, he had to do some renovation and inspection.

Alejandro waited till Tal was inside the building before crawling to Laras feet.

"Please have mercy Miss Lara! This old man never did anything wrong! What have i done to be abducted by that fiend?! Please let me go!"

Lara had to swallow hard, what the hell?

"Ehm, Alejandro, right? Please calm down! Are you really talking about Tal? He is at most a blockhead and a bit weird but he isn't some maniac who will just slaughter people, right?"

It seemed that Lara could finally find out who the man was who turned her life.

Alejandro was shocked. Isn't a maniac? HIM?! He did a wuick scan and almost lost his conciousnes after knowing where he was.

"We are in the lower realm? Why would we be here! That crazy madman really has done it. No wonder nobody knew where he was! Young girl! Ascend as soon as you can. No get away as far as possible from him! If I told you who he was you would already be running. I will tell you this, he has killed more living beings than you will ever see! In the Upper Realm he had once the name of Plague! Wherever he set his feet, there would be no live!"

Lara had to slowly diggest what she heard. They were from the Upper Realm? There were only legends here of the two higher realms! Wouldn't that make them literal gods! Also the man called Tal didn't seem like that at all.

No wait, he did just kill people because he found them annoying...

"Say Alejandro, why would you talk about my past like that? The last time I did that was more than 7000 years ago. I have changed after that incident. As long as I don't get annoyed I will not kill randomly, why would the lower realm still be intact otherwise?"

Tal walked out with a smile on his face while looking at the now unconcious Alejandro.

"He-he told the truth?!" Lara was now officialy scared. Why would she ever meet beings like that? Was she jinxed after not cleaning up her room yesterday?

"Hmm, it's not something I'm proud of but yeah. If you say my name to little children in the Upper Realm they will become obidient. A thugh will become a saint. That was my past self, I try to do something else, thats why I came here tot his realm. See how mortals live their lifes. My whole life was mostly made out of fighting and surviving. After I stood at the highest peak and saw "it", I made a promise."

Tal had a nostalgic face on as he talked. He let out a breath of air, turned around and waved his hand.

The shop which was once there was replaced by an almost identical one as the one in the desert. The only thing which was new was the terrace with stools and tables.

A sign on the front saying, General Store with a Restaurant. As if the place where the store was, wasn't suspicious enough. Even the sign screamed scam.

"Wake up Alejandro and show him the kitchen. We will open till 8 PM, after that he can do whatever he wants and you will start your training."

"Why would I listen to you? Why does my feeling tell me to trust you?"

"We can have a good meal tonight, I will tell you why and If after that you still want to leave you can do it. You can know for now that your lineage, has some connection with me."

Tal turned around and sit behind the counter as if the world didn't interest him. Lara didn't know what to make out of it all. The only things she could be certain about were.

He wasn't from the lower realm, somehow they were connected, if he wanted to harm her he would have already done it.

So in her mind she made up the decision to listen to him. Alejandro on the side woke up and rubbed his temple.

"Ughh shouldn't drink so much after work, i actually saw death himself hahaha" his laughter at the end soon died down after he saw Lara looking at him as if he was a weirdo. Hell, it wasn't a dream.

"Little girl, say what plans does he have? If he didn't kill me after having me heard talking about him, he may really have changed.

Lara pointed at the sign which made Alejandro twitch. Was he really abducted because he inew how to cook? He had to cook for mortals? Even some Sovereigns were humble to him.

"What does he mean with General Store? I get the resteraunt part but what foes he sell?" General store sounded too much like a..store which didn't sell anything specific to him.

"He told me everything, you got the money you can buy it. It seems though he sells most things for "common sense" instead of money"

"Ye, would have thought that he really needed that after all Master Jenny said. WAIT! Did you say ANYTHING?!?"

Lara was scared after hearing Alejandros outburst. She had to take a second before replying.

"Yes?"

"Good gracious! Do you even know who the most richest being alive is?! If he sells anything he has on him, there would be Divine Souls, God Artifacts. Hell he even got 1/20 of the whole Upper Realm which belongs to him! Girl do you even know what these things mean?"

"Old man calm down! I don't know anything about that but isn't it only land and some rare things? He said it himself, he doesnt care about those things. He wants to live a normal life here."

Tears began to stream down Alejandros eyes when he heard Lara talk. This wasn't hell, this was the biggest blessing of his life! He knew some treausures which Tal allegedly has!

"Give me a pen and paper! I will write you the most awesome menu of every realm!"

Only Alejandro himself knew what his plan was. Lara was dumbgounded and asked herself if every person from the upper realms was like this. Tal in the inside didn't care and just read. As long as he had customers who ate here, why would he care about anything else?

After an hour of work and preparation the store finally opend its door to visitors. Weirdly enough, not even a minute after its opening there was already someone standing inside the shop. 

It was none other than the 5th prince, Elias.
