Chapter 16 “The Amazing Dawn Part 2”

This Translation is hosted on https://bcatranslation.com/

Not hesitating, the guy flexed his muscles and promptly snapped the piece in half like he’s breaking a cookie. It came apart easily enough, which also coincided with the ghost abruptly freezing in midair using that weird predatory posture. Then those hands drooped down like all the energy had left them, followed next by the blood withdrawing back into her body. Finally, like a bad TV show with those cliché moments, the ghost raised her head at that moment and revealed the ghost’s true nature. She had a good-looking pair of eyes, kind and full of gratitude while trying to convey a message. Sadly, those lips gave no sound so Dawn couldn’t make out what she was saying.

Not going to miss this opportunity, Shadow jumped and unleashed a hail of attacks at the ethereal body which didn’t dodge or move in the slightest. Without resistance, the female ghost dispersed into a puff of smoke with the final nail in the coffin, thus bringing the fight to an abrupt end.

Both of the consciousness hunters were stunned by this outcome. In their eyes, this tamer not only had the incredible insight to search for the ghost’s catalyst, but he’s also able to control the entire battlefield by using his monsters as a decoy. From start to finish, nothing was out of his grasp, which in itself was astonishing to say the least.

Moreover, Hunter Green didn’t miss the fact that Dawn had stood in that exact spot since he entered the building. That means – in his mind anyways – that the guy could’ve ended this fight from the very start. Instead, he allowed the catling to fight to toy with the ghost!

If anyone tells me a monster tamer is useless then I will whip them to death!

Although Hunter Green didn’t favor the other profession like many of his own peers did, the man still had enough sense to realize they owed Dawn a great favor tonight. Not only were their lives saved, the people living in this suburb also owed the guy a huge debt.

Getting all respectful in his voice immediately: “Thank you for saving us.”

Now it was Dawn’s turn to be stunned. Then quickly getting his thoughts in order, he waves his hand casually like it’s nothing: “Don’t be so polite, just go ahead and take your companions and scoot.”

Green didn’t object and nodded. First limping over to his fellow love interest Plum to give the lady support, the two of them then limped over to the unconscious third member of their party when they overheard the catling speak. “Wait a minute Monster Hunters, what do you know about this ghost?”

“We only know that this female ghost didn’t come into existence naturally, rather it’s controlled by an external force. We’re still investigating the source of the matter.” Hunter Green frowns and adds more after a moment of contemplation: “Just before the battle began with us, we saw another man here. The guy was shrouded in a dark robe so we couldn’t make out his face… But we’re certain about one thing, the aura coming off of the individual made us very uncomfortable before he disappeared.”

“Che~” Shadow jumps up to Dawn’s shoulder while still in her cat form, “That’s all we needed to know. Leave your contact information behind…. Like your cellphone number or something along those lines.”

Without hesitation, Hunter Green obliged by writing down a series of numbers on a piece of paper using his remaining good arm. The ink he used was his own blood because there’s no actual pen or ink around.

“Then senior, we will be leaving first….” Before Hunter Green could finish speaking, the unconscious third member suddenly woke up. Seeing there was a random guy and two monsters staring back at him, it’s not out of reason to expect the hunter to cry out the dumbest thing he could: “MONSTER! WATCH HOW I’LL SUBJUGATE….”

“Subjugate your head! Go, go, go, we’re leaving!” Unexpectedly, Hunter Plum who was rather feministic looking in her appearance, was actually a tyrant in nature because that knuckle burst had already come down in the next second at that head.

It’s unlikely Hunter Red would be fine after waking up again. He probably suffered a concussion from that blow based on how big the bruised lump was.

Meanwhile back on Hunter Green’s side, he was somewhat embarrassed in the face over this twist. He wanted to keep a dignified image for his party while standing before Dawn, but Red and Plum’s little interaction completely destroyed their serious and professional image.
