Chapter -15

'Is my little brother a veiled genius?' Olive thought, as her mental imagination noted down this scene in over enthusiasm and because of that she got worked up forgetting her manners for second and startled the old Tom.

"Looks like you're pretty good at it, little Noah, even though I couldn't do magic on my first attempt." Olive said, merrily.

"Hehe, I don't know, am i." Noah Replied, embarrassedly.

'I don't know if I'm a genius or not as I think system is helping me with all of this somehow.' Noah thought as he picked up the red liquor.

"Oh no, no, you can't drink that one, this one is here is yours." Olive said as she hurriedly took the glass out of his hand.

Both of them remained there for an extra half hour and then moved towards the Diagon Alley entrance, taking out her wand olive carefully taped it on some random bricks, and before any moment could pass the wall started to tuck like roll and a path began to form.

"Welcome to Diagon Alley." Olive announced while gesturing to him to step inside that path.

Noah gradually stepped through the archway and looked in front of him in amazement.

The sun shone brightly on a stack of cauldrons outside the nearest shop. Cauldrons -All sizes - copper, brass, pewter, silver - self-stirring - collapsible, said a sign hanging over them.

"Little Noah, why don't you check the supply list and choose where to go first." Olive recommended as she saw Noah trying to study through every shop.

'What's there to even think of, obviously I'll go to the bookstore first.' Noah thought as he had no interest in those extra stuff and was even uncertain about buying an owl.

"Sister, I want to buy the books first." He said while putting on an excitement-seeking smile.

"As you wish then, as I've already withdrawn the galleons so we don't have to go to that bank." Olive said while a a whiff of disgust smelled out when she mentioned the bank's name.

Both of them started strolling down the street and halted when they saw a wooden sign board indicating Flourish and Blotts Bookseller on the left side of the street.

'So this is the shop huh.' Noah thought as he saw the establishment which looked quite aged for a a prominent bookstore.

The siblings came into the bookstore and saw the interior which was filled with bookshelves stacked to the ceiling.

Noah proceeded toward the counter while glancing around the shop. At the counter sat a fat wizard who oversaw the whole shop from there.

"Noah give him the list." Olive told.

Noah who was eager that he wanted to rob the whole shop in one swoop calmed down and placed the list on the counter.

"All the first years' book, eh." The wizard said as he waved his wand and a a pile of the book flew over to him.

Thud.

"It'll be fifteen Galleon and three sickles." He said while taping on the pile of books.

'Too fast.' Noah thought, as his calculations got awry,  he had believed that he would get enough time to search for books in this extensive library.

"S-Sister, I wanna see more books, can I study them inside?" Noah asked making puppy eyes.

"Of course, you can Little Noah, Mr. Borgins, put these books aside first as we'll buy some extra in meantime." Olive said as she followed behind Noah who ran off after hearing her confirmation.

"As you wish, miss." Mr. Borgins said Nonchalantly while waving his wand again arranging the pile of books aside from the counter.

"Let's see what kind of books my Little brother likes?" Olive mumbled as she heeded behind him, she closely scrutinized Noah but decided to not intervene for now as Noah observed the books with interested or hunger-filled eyes.

“Temper with the deepest mysteries - the source of life - only if prepared for consequences of the most extremely dangerous kind.” Noah read the line carefully. The quote appeared to connect directly to the essence of witchcraft.

It was too early for current Noah to comprehend the real meaning behind this fundamental law, but for one thing, he was sure that "if somebody wanted to temper the source or so-called magic which they had lived with, one had to be prepared to take any extreme measure."

Noah recalled that one of the original character's mother in movies was fanatic about magical theories, findings new law and developing some unique things but sadly she perished way before the movie started while experimenting on something.

'Okay, I've chosen, I'll take this.' he thought and moved ahead while checking the titles of books, as that assisted him narrow down his search as for now his main focus was books that contains wisdom regarding mana or magic theories.

Twenty minutes later…

"Sigh." Olive sighed as she gazed over her little brother's rear she was a little excited some moments ago about sharing her wisdom with him but that little demon brother of hers chose some impeccable books that she got dumbfounded.

"That'll cost another ten galleons, by the way, kid are you by any chance fan of sir waffling?" Mr. Borgins asked.

"Yes, I'm." Noah replied casually even though he had just read only one page from his books, Noah considered himself a fan after reading that page while olive just smiled hearing Noah's reply.

"If that's the case, I'm sure you'll be going to house Ravenclaw." Mr. borgins said with a smile.

“_”

Noah looked at him perplexedly, he understood that mister's reason for saying that but still, only a high affinity to reading alone can't be a fact for a house selection can it?

"Haha, thank you Mr. Borgins." Olive who was bimming with a smile said.

"Now little Noah should we go and buy you a wand?" Olive asked looking merrier than ever.

"Sure." Noah replied while walking down the street holding the enchanted bag filled with books.

'By the way system, can't you give me all this magical knowledge? You're a dark arts system so I'm sure you must have got a vast amount of knowledge inside you.' Noah asked in his mind.

 [.......]

.

'system.'

.

'oi, Ghost-uncle.' Noah tried many different names but the system didn't reply to any of his callings.

"Tch, how cheap." He muttered dejectedly as he knew the system was doing it on purpose.

"Little Noah we're here." Olive said as she pointed towards a shabby-looking store.

Noah could sense an empty abyss staring at him through those dirty windows. This was second time that he had felt this kind of magical connection.

"Don't worry about exterior, they are one of the best in whole wizarding world." Olive said while looking at the dingy outer look of the shop.

'I know.' Noah mumbled to himself as he shoved the door ahead and stepped inside the shop.
