Chapter 3: Zoro is on Board.

Hours later.

The small boat finally docked on the Yotsuba Island Region, Shells Town.

Walking in the town's lively streets, Luffy bought all kinds of fruits and snacks on both sides of the road.

"It's delicious."

Behind him, the little cowardly Coby followed him with uneasy expression.

"Mr.Luffy, please reconsider it again. That man is a vicious bounty hounter. It is rumoured that he is wild beast living inside a human skin."

Luffy ignored the fidgeting Coby, as he thought inwardly.

'Zoro, it's time for us to meet.'

Luffy asked Coby, as he seems to know a lot of informations.

"That Zoro, is he prisoned at the naval base in the town now?"

Hearing someone inquiring about 'that' bounty hunter, In an instant, the people around were scared away, as they tried to keep enough distance as possible.

Luffy felt funny in his heart.

'The natives of this world is very cowardly and easy to bully.

They don't even dare to resist.

Those minority batch who possessed the guts are immediately outcasted and forced to become pirates or criminals.

No wonder a crippled regiment with no desire for self-improvement and messy policies such as the world government could live until today.'

"Just right, let's go towards the naval base."

Luffy said as Coby could only lead the way.

Naval base.

Soon, Luffy and Coby came outside the naval base execution ground.

 'Zoro should be inside.'

 Facing the wall, Luffy delivered a casual punch, then, along with a reverberated bang sound, the sturdy looking wall collapsed like mud.

Coby shivered in fright, as he experienced Luffy's power again.

This punch not only destroyed the wall, but almost beat Coby's burning faith to cinder.

With a complicated expression, he stuttered.

"Lu... Mr. Luffy, isn't this bad? The loud commotion will surely attract the patrol navy."

Luffy just smiled casually.

He didn't care at all. He could already see the classic scene of Zoro's crucifixion.

In the execution ground.

Zoro who was scolding a little girl, was taken back, as he saw the wall collapsed.

In his shock he opened his mouth so wide, that the little girl pestering him, took the opportunity and mischievously put the salty rice ball inside his mouth.

She clapped happily, as she watched him gulping her cuisine.

"That's great! Big brother finally eat my rice balls."

Turning her head towards the wall, her eyes shined more brightly.

"Thank you Mr.stranger, with this I won't have to jump the wall again when I visit next time."

'This girl brain circuits seems to be as abnormal as Mr.Luffy.'

Coby couldn't help but comment inwardly.  

 Luffy remembered that she seems to be the daughter of a bar owner in this small town. Also the reason behind Zoro's imprisonment.

He just smiled casually at her, as he moved towards the crucified Zoro, while looking at him in interest.

"While still a little weak, pitfully powerless, needles to say, he is full of potential and owns a great will.

After some training, he will grow up to a decent sea overlord.

Yoosh, it's decided.

I'm Monkey.D.Luffy, The man who will eventually become the Pirate King, You will be my first partner from now on, Zoro!"

Zoro's face turned black.

"I refuse!"

"Don't be shy. I will help you untie this ropes."

"Don't!"

Luffy really stopped his actions.

Zoro's brain couldn't keep up with Luffy's abnormal train of thoughts at all.

And who the hell are you calling weak?!

Shy?! Non-existent.

Weren't you about to help untie the ropes? Why did you stopped?!

Zoro felt bitter. If he wasn't imprisoned, he would have cut this bastard to pieces.

Luffy patted his back amiably, not caring about his resentful eyes the slightest.

The little girl also congratulated Zoro which made him more awful.

Coby felt embarrassed watching the scene in front him.

Fortunately or unfortunately, this funny occurrence was soon interrupted by the hurried footsteps of the patrol navy soldiers.

At this time, dozen navy soldiers armed with guns and swords came over hurriedly, obviously because of the loud commotion just now.

These navy soldiers didn't advance, they just keep watching Luffy's group vigilantly while they seem to be waiting for something.

More heavy steps sounded, and soon a hundred navy soldiers almost crowded the entrance of the execution ground.

Finally, a very tall and muscular middle aged blond man appeared. His lower jaw was covered by an iron mask, while one of his hands was missing and seems to be replaced by a sharp axe.

From the man demeanor and the navy soldiers fearful expression, it could be concluded that he is the highest controller of this naval base.

Colonel Morgan.

"Huh, bunch of kids?!"

Morgan looked at Luffy's group with an unpleasant face.

Luffy's punch that destroyed the wall sounded like explosive shells, therefore Morgan thought that some vicious pirates invaded his base.

Who would have thought it was just a bunch of kids playing rescue games.

Behind Morgan, a lanky average-sized young man with distinctive cleft chin and light blond hair in a bizarre mushroom shape looked at Luffy's party viciously.

"Dad, they are here to save people. Kill them!"

Morgan turned his face sideways, as he gave a demeaning glance.

"Helmeppo. Are you teaching me what to do?"

The blond young shrieked in fright, as he fell in the ground.

Morgan looked at him in disgust. if he wasn't his own son, he would have already killed him.

"Do you want to save people?"

"Shoot them to death."

The navy soldiers hesitated for a while, but under Morgan blood shot eyes, they raised their guns and fired, which made Zoro's face change greatly!

"Did you decide? Joining me seems better than dying meaninglessly here."

Luffy with a hand above his hat, gave Zoro a solemn look.

Zoro was amazed by the other party spirit.

But soon, his face changed dramatically.

"Quickly get out of the way!"

In anxious tone, Zoro tried to warn the other party. Unfortunately he was tied, or he would have do it himself.

'It's too late.'

'Will I die meaninglessly here?! No I refuse! I haven't achieved my dreams yet! Damn it, damn it."

Immediately, Luffy silhouette swept in, as he covered his line of sight, raised his right hand and quickly grabbed ahead, bringing up a barrage of afterimages.

After the shooting ended, there was no blood and no tragic deaths as expected.

Everyone was still fine.

Zoro eyes widened as his heart trembled in shock.

"Strong!"

Luffy spread out his right hand, and the tend of bullets could be seen laying in his hand.

Coby and the little girl who were frozen in fright looked at Luffy with bulging eyes، showcasing their deep shock.

The navy camp were stunned in unison.

"How... how is it possible. "

Morgan's stepufied face dropped with sweat. At least he can't do it.

"What kind of motor nerve does this guy have?! Is this guy even a human? Don't tell me it's a legendary fruit user!"

"Keep shooting! I don't believe he can still catch hundreds of bullets at the same time."

Morgan shouted with a trembling tone.

But Luffy wasn't interested to play with them anymore.

He casually glanced at the panicked navy soldiers, along with an air wave, his momentum shot up as it impacted their wills, forcing them to roll their eyes and fell to the ground.

As for Morgan, Luffy casually sent the bullets in his hand towards his four body parts, abolishing him in the spot.

Morgan who lost a large volume of blood could only faint along with his subordinates.

This magical crushing scene made Zoro who always thought that he was strong and knowledgeable fell in self-doubt.

"How... Why did they faint?!"

"Hmm, I just used a little of my momentum to intimidate them."

He didn't even bother to use domineering. If he did so they would have died rather than fainting.

Taking over a glance at the stimulated Zoro.

Luffy grinned at him with ease, as his eyes turned sly and his tone was full of temptation.

"Don't be too surprised, It won't take you long to become this strong. As long as you join me."

Zoro swallowed, but he was doubtful.

Actually, Zoro already decided to join Luffy after saving his life.

Yet,

'Can I really become stronger to cut bullets with my sword and stun people with my momentum?'

"Okay, since you saved my life, I could only follow you. However, let me remind you. My dream is to become the world's greatest swordsman."

Luffy looked at him in admiration.

"Of course you should. As the first mate of the Pirate King, such a title is quite fitting."

Zoro grinned.

Coby and the little girl called Rika were still in stupor.

It was a battle beyond their recognition.

Later on, Luffy and Zoro found the three knifes.

It was a pain in the ass walking with Zoro. Fortunately, Luffy caught him firmly, or they would have to pass days looking for the swords.

"Nami must have left earlier."

Watching the chaotic room, Luffy sum up that Nami must have gone to Buggy the clown.

'Must hurry up!'.

The small boat left the dock, as it cut through the waves aimelessly.

"Why did you hit him?"

Zoro who was lying down not far from him asked in wonder.

"Cutting off the relationship. His dream is to become a navy after all."

Zoro nodded in understanding, as he soon lost interest in the conversation, and started waving his sword.

Luffy watched him in interest.

As his body strengthened, he is evolving in all-around direction, which made it easier for him to master Zoro basic swordsmanship with a glance.

His brain easily deciphered the moves.

But he wasn't interested in fencing.

Rather, in Zoro's physique.

He was quite similar to the previous Luffy. His body is at most little monster with abnormal resilience and vitality but his other senses, reflexes, agility and even power level are still in the 'human' scope.

The reason behind his monstrous power and beastly instinct is actually the 'passive dormant domineering' (that is similar to the so-called 'Qi' or 'Chakra') coupled with his fancy swordsmanship. As they acted as a blessing multipliers, pushing his strength to an anomalous level.

In contrast with the natives of this world that although they are strong, they are still mortal and could even die or severely injured by bullets or a sea king's bite.

Luffy's current body defense can easily took a hail of bullets.

It's not a Big Mom level yet, but it's catching up, and it's almost equivalent to an ordinary Zoan defense.

After evaluating Zoro's power, he finally decided to find a chance to throw him inside the Inheritance space for a hellish training.

'let's wait for him to be beaten by society. After fighting Mihawk, it's not late to throw him inside the space.'
