Maybe it was because we were indoors and they were holding back, or maybe they were just that weak.

Either way, it didn’t matter to me. Even if they tried their hardest, they wouldn’t even be able to leave so much as a scratch on me.

Several fireballs slammed into my body as I slowly walked forward, gripping onto the blade of the combat instructor’s sword, casually pushing him backward with every step.

He’d casted a spell around the weapon that dulled the blade since I was a student, but even if it wasn’t dulled, I’d be able to hold onto it just as easily.

“H-How!? T-This is impossible!” The combat instructor spat desperately. Right now, such a horribly clichéd line was actually pretty fitting.

This should’ve been impossible by all means. After all, it was normally only possible to increase your stats through training, so there was no way that someone as young as me could be this strong already.

Left with no other option, the combat instructor released his grip on his weapon and swung a vicious punch at me. I barely even acknowledged the attack, simply allowing it to connect.

A second later, the room filled with the sound of bones cracking.

“A-Aah.... AAAAGHH!” The combat instructor’s face was contorted in an amalgamation of pain and surprise as he held his pulverized hand.

Such a result would’ve been obvious if he’d bothered to actually gauge my strength before attacking me. I wasn’t even making any effort to hide my true strength right now.

“What!? You dare attack an instructor like that!?” Beatrice screeched in fury, but her words were meaningless.

It was honestly pretty funny, because she’d been the first to attack me after being blinded by rage. I didn’t blame her. I’d probably be furious too if someone pissed all over my day.

But ultimately, I couldn’t give less of a rat’s ass about how they felt right now. All I was looking to do was fuck shit up irreparably. Then we’d get Cyrus’ ass down here and squeeze the truth out of him.

All this shit was shady as fuck, especially when he neglected to tell me that Liandra would have a different mission than me. It wasn’t the mission that annoyed me, though. Rather, it was the fact that he chose to conceal it from me.

I hefted the combat instructor by the hem of his shirt and tossed him aside while the other two instructors watched in disbelief. The student council members who had been looking so smug while hiding behind the instructors were now staring at the scene with expressions of pure terror.

Back on Earth, if I was placed in this exact situation, I probably would’ve laughed. Perhaps I might’ve even felt elated at the fact that I’d completely subverted their expectations and was now on the fast track to giving them a good asskicking.

But right now, I didn’t feel a thing.

Maybe it was because I’d grown so strong that they didn’t even register on my radar, or maybe it was because I’d simply gotten used to it during my time here in the world of Paresica. However, I wanted to believe that it was because I’d managed to get over my past.

I stopped right in front of Beatrice as she continued charging up what I assumed to be the strongest spell she could cast. She’d given up all pretense or attempt at holding back and thankfully, the instructor who was capable of summoning monsters was simply too afraid to even interfere.

Good. Just stay there shaking in your boots, and I won’t have to cave your skull in.

I placed my hands in my pockets, waiting nonchalantly for Beatrice to unleash her spell. She sure was taking her sweet time charging up. In fact, I almost yawned.

“Ryuuko! What the hell are you doing!?” Liandra shouted as I simply stood there, waiting to tank the blast. “T-That thing’s packing some serious heat! Even if it’s you, you couldn’t possibl—”

“So, what? You wanna take the hit in my place?” I glanced at her with a playful smirk. She looked at me in disbelief, and for a moment I thought that she was actually going to trade places with me.

Fortunately, we were interrupted by Beatrice before Liandra could say anything foolish.

“As if I’d let you! You’re too dangerous to be kept alive! Die!” Beatrice unleashed the full force of her attack against me.

The heat of the flames looked to be harmful even to those who were only standing in the room, forcing them to either make a mad dash to one of the cafeteria’s exits or shield themselves with magic.

However, I barely felt anything beyond a warm breeze thanks to my incredibly high [Magic Resistance] skill that nearly negated all of the damage from her spell. Anything else that leaked through had to contend with my constitution stat which was at 99.

I casually dusted an ember off my shoulder, thankful that I’d taken care to ensure that my skills extended to my clothing as well. If not, I’d be buck naked right now.

“Anything else you wanna show off or are you done?”

Beatrice trembled in fear, backing away slowly at first, but hastening her movements as she continued putting distance between us.

“M-Monster! Y-You’re a monster! S-Someone, get help! We need the rector!”

I spared a glance toward Liandra. As it stood, it looked like we would be accomplishing her mission a lot faster than we expected.

Thank fuck. Maybe I’ll be able to get the hell out of this goddamn academy sooner.

“Hey, Liandra.”

“Yeah. I know.”

She floated next to me as the students began clearing out of the room in fear. Some of them stayed, presumably to watch the next act of this farce play out while the instructors fled the scene, seeking help.

We remained in place for a while, waiting until we heard a storm of footsteps outside of the room. At last, they’d arrived.

I crossed my arms, waiting to see just how many people they’d brought to deal with us, but when they entered, I was thoroughly disappointed.

There were only around twenty of them, and among them, only the rector looked like they could last more than a second against us.

How embarrassing.

“Is that all?”

“...What?” One of the instructors spluttered in a bewildered tone. He was a combat instructor, dressed in full armor and armed with a large greatsword. I noticed that he hadn’t bothered to dull the blade.

I sighed. It was disappointing, to say the least.

“You should’ve brought at least two hundred. Then I’d at least have something to talk about.”
