It looked like out of all monsters in the Burial Ground Dungeon, the ghosts were the least threatening. They were in the form of small humans and spoke in a mild voice. One wouldn't think of them as monsters with how innocent they were.
Other monsters also didn't pay any attention to them.
It was a relief since those ghosts could become really loud with their remarks.
Of course, that applied just to Reylin and Emilia.
Not too far away from them, a group of players had been approached by the ghosts as well. Their ghosts were mainly elderly people, but one player had received a lady! That lady was pretty cute, and she carried a fantastic pair of melons!
The players were flabbergasted as the ghosts could become very cozy, and their floating ability allowed them to stick up to people really close.
It didn't take long for the group to get mad over this fact!
"Fuck! I got some old woman and you a hottie?! What the fuck!"
"She asked whether I wanted dinner! Damn! Spare me this bullshit in-game!"
"Grandma! I am full! Yes, I am full!"
They glared at the lucky player, then left him alone!
"Have fun with your girlfriend!"
"Wait! What a girlfriend?! It's a ghost! Guys!" The player with the lady ghost ran after his friends, but they kicked him away from the party, and their skills left him pinned down on the ground until they all disappeared somewhere else...
"Nuu..." The player cried, but he got comforted by the pat from a lady ghost, and he decided to just level up alone.
Who knew? Maybe she would become his permanent companion in the game like a pet, and that would be so great! The player's hopes rose faster than a rocket, and he even imagined an arc of getting her real body back!
Reylin and Emilia saw that spectacle from afar, and their eyes remained emotionless.
"What a group of losers," Emilia whispered.
"Kicking their friend away was too much. I agree," Reylin sneered, then turned his eyes to the ghosts.
Everyone got approached by those ghosts, so Reylin assumed their importance was high. It might play a crucial role in the dungeon's walkthrough.
He smiled at his ghost, "How long have you been here, little brother?"
Hearing how Reylin called him, the ghost's eyes expanded with happiness, and he nodded brightly, "I don't know!" His answer was quite disappointing, but Reylin didn't show it on his face.
His face softened, and he patted a little guy, "It means you must have been here for too long. Do you want to know what we came here for?"
"Yes, big brother!" A ghost quickly became closer with Reylin.
He held his leg with one hand, and his eyes remained high so that he would be able to keep looking into Reylin's eyes.
It seemed like a ghost was reading Reylin, "We came here to complete the dungeon. We will see its end."
Reylin smiled widely while looking back at the ghost.
His ghost just nodded, "People who come here always attack skeletons and zombies! Will you do the same? Is that how you complete the dungeon?!"
"I don't know. I am sure they will attack us first, though," He pointed at his nickname, and the ghost looked oddly at it.
He then extended his other hand up, "I want candy!"
"I don't have a candy, but you can have this," Reylin passed a small red orb.
It was used as a taunt for parrots, but it was also similar to a common candy.
The ghost liked it and held it tightly. Of course, everyone saw what his clenched palm saw through his transparent body.
"Since everyone attacks skeletons, we will do the same. Emilia, ready?" Reylin shifted his eyes to Emilia.
He didn't receive any information from the ghost, but nothing came out easily. If anyone got information about the dungeon that easily, it would have been long since cleared.
No one cleared it yet, so Reylin would do what everyone did so far, and that was attacking skeletons and other undead creatures here!
Those creatures were naturally born here before...
"I am ready," Emilia ended her talk with the ghost.
Both ghosts floated behind them, and it was time to start some slaughter!
All undead monsters here were level sixty as well, so Reylin and Emilia would need to exercise a lot more than usual!
To say nothing of their frontline, the undead monsters didn't feel any pain, and they would chase anyone until their bodies stopped!
"It means we aim for the legs first," Reylin casually said, then threw his fireballs rapidly.
His flames and mana control increased, so he could conjure five fireballs near instantly. Those had gone against skeletons before they noticed him, and their light in sockets expanded a little.
"Tsk... Tough bones," Reylin commented.
"It's a good material for blacksmiths," Emilia commented, "This and the boss' loot should sell for a nice sum of money."
After a few days with him, Emilia knew he wouldn't give up on a dungeon. It was a place where Reylin could learn a clue or more for his ambition. Many had estimated that this place held graves for various races, and Reylin also believed in those rumors!
He just needed to find a way!
Thus, Emilia imagined them returning to the city a few times as no inventory was limitless!
"I've thought about it as well. And it looks like spreading flames is nigh impossible here, so when I tell you to shoot flames at me, don't hesitate." Reylin replied.
"I will not," Emilia replied, then added in a little excited voice, "I will aim for your face. That's what you deserve."
Emilia's ghost pulled her hair and said, "It was really rude!"
Those words made Emilia blankly stare forward...
As for Reylin, he burst out laughing and teased her 'priestess' class.
His ghost grabbed a handful of Reylin's hair and said, "A lot of skeletons coming our way! You don't have time to laugh! Look!"
"There's always time for laughter," Reylin replied and showed the best example to his new little friend.
His hands promptly exploded with flames, and he conjured ten fireballs near instant! He didn't stop, however, and his mana kept going down as he brought more flames to the Burial Ground Dungeon!
"Waaa!" The ghost exclaimed loudly!
"Hahahaha!" And Reylin laughed, "So fucking fun, isn't it?!"
