I was lucky that there were no other students around, when I was facing the two girls.

Otherwise, a crowd would have been formed, along with those continued whispers, also I might have been painted as an asshole, because let’s face it, society is not kind to guys when it comes it concerning girls.

Also, rumors might have spread, so I guess I dodged a bullet. I sighed in relief.

But that girl Emily, what’s her problem anyway? Talking to her was a pain in the ass.

It’s almost like she has deep hatred towards me, so deep that it clouds her judgement regarding every action I make.

But why? It doesn’t make sense for her to feel this way towards me. I have never done anything to her, heck from my memories I only interacted with her twice before this.

And those were at official Royal parties and even then, we barely spoke to each other.

The only reason I can come up with regarding why she hates me is, I defeated and caused her dear childhood friend Aaron to leave school. Also, regarding forcing too, I guess.

But these shouldn’t be enough for her to have such a grudge against me, she hardly even interacted with Sera too before this after all and Aaron lost fairly.

But somehow in her eyes I am the cause of everything, well technically I am but it was Aaron’s fault for butting in, in the first place.

As for my ex-fiancé Sera, although she didn’t say anything to me, it’s clear that she agrees with Emily as she didn’t refute her either.

As for my obsession towards her, I felt it again when I saw her today. I had to forcibly control it again.

It looks like, it will take some time for that obsession to go away, I am lucky that the previous David’s influence is not that strong, otherwise it would have been difficult to control it.

However, I am sure it will go away with time. Time apart from her. It has to, otherwise I am in deep shit.

Ugh, my head hurts, just thinking about it. Let’s just forget it and focus on the current task at hand.

As I exited the school main building, I saw some other students loitering around the school campus.

When they saw me, they whispered among themselves, then stared at me from a distance. Their looks were filled with disdain but it was much less compared to how people usually stare at me.

This is a world where strength is everything. People spend their lives training and strengthening themselves to not only protect themselves but also stand out in society.

In such a world a person as fat and lazy as myself will definitely be looked down on. Some even call me ‘ft pig’ and laugh among themselves.

David never really paid attention to them and minded his own business, so he really had no enemies prior to his clash with the protagonist. He also didn’t look down on people of the lower class like servants due to the teachings of his house.

I want to ignore these stares as well but they sure are annoying. Just you wait, after the vacation ends, I will make sure you guys shut your mouths.

Where I was going right now was the business district of the Academy, which consists of shops and cafés.

The Royal Magic Academy was huge and spread across many acres of land and is located near the capital.

Other than the main school buildings and the several dormitories of both males and females as well as special ones like mine, there are also 4 arenas where various battles take place (my battle took place in arena 1), training grounds and finally the shopping district.

There are also the school cafeterias but they were located inside the main school buildings, so they didn’t take up any extra space.

The shopping district is built inside the academy for only one reason, security. There are a lot of aristocratic and important students in the academy.

It will not do well for the school’s reputation if something happened to one of the students when they went out shopping.

It was also not feasible to provide security to every student that went out. And also, they couldn’t allow the students themselves to bring their own security as it would cause chaos and also will put a strain on the school’s resources.

So, the shopping distract was a good middle ground. Students could shop as much as they want without fearing for their lives.

The shopkeepers were directly scrutinized by the school administration and hence were trustworthy.

You could just walk from the main school building to over there. It was a 10-minute walk.

I walked leisurely, enjoying the view. There were beautiful flower gardens along the path, which were neatly maintained.

The weather was sunny and clear and summer hasn’t fully arrived it, so it was very pleasant.

Also, there were no pesky noble students around to bother me as they mostly let their servants do the shopping.

I couldn’t of course as I was looking for two specific shops and I wasn’t even sure of their locations.

Specifically, the two shops the protagonist Aaron visits later in the novel, when he needed new equipment after the equipment given to him was destroyed when he was exploring a dungeon.

Originally the equipment he was using was given to him by Duke Green. So, after the equipment was destroyed, him being a good guy didn’t want to trouble the duke, so he went hunting equipment for himself without telling anyone.

He was looking for shops which sold equipment at a low price and found that most shops were out of his budget, which is the money he got from his parents, who worked for the Duke.

So, he kept on exploring until he found the two shops I mentioned. These shops were worn and battered down, due to them being located at a very inconspicuous place and therefore not having any customers.

The two were besides each and the owners got along well. In these two shops, Aaron found what he was looking for.

Equipment and potions at a cheap price. However, that wasn’t the only thing that he got out of them.

Although the stuff was cheap, they were of very high quality. Also, in the equipment shop, he got unique items that were one of a kind and really powerful. You couldn’t find them anywhere else.

This situation is basically the ‘protagonist luck’ and of course cliché. Anyway, after the protagonist got more popular, he recommended the shops and they got famous as well.

So, you can say, they also benefitted from being the protagonist’s suppliers.

However, the people who came later didn’t get the unique items but that was ok since they got high quality items that were the best they can get at a low price.

I am here to get those items. Why am I getting items that are or the protagonist you ask?

It’s simple, because I can. It would be incredible stupid in my opinion if I don’t get the stuff I know about, just because the protagonist is supposed to have them.
