Chapter 4: Safe Zone Chapter 4

Jeong-sii looked at me curiously, "how did you come up with that attack method?" He asked me.

I avoided his gaze, "it just came to mind." I lied.

Was I discovered? I peeked in his direction, he was way too on edge, let's not reveal any more cards for right now.

He stared at me a little longer before turning away, looks like that answer worked.

"I guess you weren't useless until the end." He mutters.

Oh? I smirked but refrained from egging him on, even if I wanted to badly.
"What's the clear reward?" I asked already knowing the answer.

He turned and held something out in my direction, in his hand was a book.

Not just any book, it was a skill book especially used if one was a Necromancer.

I pointed to myself while holding my other hand out to receive the book, "for me?" I asked.

He shoves the book into my hand, "just take it." He says.

I was excited to receive my first useful skill, Death Reaper.

According to the panel, it was a C Rank skill that can be upgraded if used constantly. The higher the foe, the more efficient the upgrade will be. 

 

Death Reaper: The dead shall become the Reaper's subordinate limit: 0/5. Can only reap those of lower ranks.

 

I beamed, this was exactly what I needed. Now to complete the skill, I will need to unlock the Rare Class Quest for the Combat Necromancer. I can't wait!

"Why does he get a skill and not me?" Byon-Hyung asked with a disappointed expression.

I can't believe he was being like this, I reached to lightly pat his shoulder, "don't worry, the time that you get a skill will come." I reassured.

This much is the truth, "alright, all rewards have been collected, we can now leave this dungeon before it disappears." Jeong-sii tells us while walking up to the throne.

There should be a "return to surface" portal for us to enter somewhere near it.

Once we made it back outside I could finally take a breather.

It also occurred to me that the whole reason Jeong-sii traveled back in time was to fix everything that went wrong in this timeline. 

Not only did he lose all his comrades but the woman he loved also dies in the end.

As his number one fan, I should help him find her, especially since her skill will be needed for the new world. 

That's right the world will not stay this way it will take three months for Jeong-sii to reorganize everything. 

In those three months, Jeong-sii will have recruited the main people he needed to start an official guild. 

He would also have made everyone stronger by then, his guild becomes number 3 in the tv series I'm sure it will be the same even now.

"Let's go, we should raise your mana and level that way you can use this skill," Jeong-sii tells me.

A crash course with Jeong-sii as the teacher? Count me in!

The three of us left the area and made our way north, he says that the gym should be near.

This is following the series to a tee, with me as the additional member, I'm so proud!

"Here it is, be prepared to enter," Jeong-sii warns us.

He has every right to be worried, even if it's a safe zone in these times all the crazies are revealed.

If this does go as expected then there will be conflicts and the commotion will cause a rift to appear.

We entered the building only to see another panel appearing, this one was green with the words safe zone and even showed the capacity inside the building.

Right now there were a total of twenty, this building can only hold at least forty others.

Luckily, there are other safe zones near.

"More survivors? What's that? There's even a kid." a guy smirks while looking down at me.

It's him, another character in the series, the cause of everything going wrong in this building.

The typical villain, one who has arrogance and annoying villainy traits, I should refrain from wringing his neck where he stands.

What a lucky bastard.

I turned my back on him, "wise choice." Jeong-sii praised me before walking away.

"Where's he going?" Byon-Hyung asked curiously.

Hmm...if I'm correct the safe zone scene was also where they met that mage, right? 

A girl who will become a magical genius and Jeong-sii's only blood relative.

I couldn't tell Hyung this, revealing something like that will get a sword pointed at me.

Moments later Jeong-sii returned alone, looking at his expression meant there was something different this time.

If he didn't find that mage here, was it a different safe zone?

It has been a while since I have seen season one of this series, could it be my memories are a bit fuzzy?

There's no way, right? I mean I binged and watched every season until my eyes bled, this is that thing that people call the butterfly effect.

Should I stop looking at this as a part of the television series? After all, this is more real than any show I've watched.

A clock that seemed to be counting down for something appeared above everyone's head.

No one knew why it was counting down, but it has been bothering me for a while now.

I sat against a nearby wall keeping my eyes on the timer.

"You look as though you haven't slept in a while, why do you keep watching that?" Jeong-sii asked walking over to me.

Just moments ago he had been still searching through all the people here, I guess he still hasn't found that person.

"Don't you think there's something odd about the timer?" I asked him.

He looked up at it before turning to look at me, "are you worried about that?" He asked me.

I frown, "not particularly, it's just that it reminds me of the times I played many games, and normally when something is counting down once it reaches zero, bad things happen." I told him.

"I see, and what if that's the case?" He asked.

I paused and stared at him, this guy, he's not making it obvious but he knows something.

Could it be that this was the safe zone where that event took place?

And if that's true, then where is the Mage that he has been searching for?

His expression changed after making eye contact with something behind me, I turned to have a look.

A young girl, maybe about ten, stood in the crowd with a young man.

I recognized the guy as one of the characters in the series that follows Jeong-sii, it had to be him.

Looks like my memory has become a bit fuzzy, but with my blessing, it should be clearer.

I'm glad Jeong-sii found the person he was looking for, which means it's still the same.

I should still refrain from looking at this situation lightly, I'm not in the series because I could die for real, me and everyone here.

I glanced up at the timer, and right now we had a terrible event approaching as soon as that timer hits zero.
