I woke up two days after the incident in a hospital room. Besides me, I saw Nya sleeping on the chair.

I put my hand through her hair feeling it. This prompts her to wake up.

I enter 'limbo state' to see what's going on with my body and I see to my luck that nothing was broken, I'm just tired.

"What happened while I was out? The last thing I remember is sitting down and you telling me to stay awake."

"After that, I got really worried, you idiot! The last time I saw you so injured was when you went to avenge your grandmother, even then you were in a better state than two days ago!"

"TWO DAYS! What happened in the time I was asleep?"

"After you fell asleep all of us were extremely worried, Korra came to you and tried to heal you but said that all your internal energy was in chaos. She never saw something like that before and it took her an hour to stabiles your condition enough to bring you to the hospital.

When the ambulance came all of the officers came to see you off, they even escorted the ambulance to the hospital. They later came to show their respect and apologies for what happened previously. They said that if you have any legal trouble in the future to come to them, they even want you to give you a medal!"

"What, a medal? For me? Did they drink the wrong medicine or did they hit their heads too hard?"

"Shut up! Even the stingiest person would give you a medal! You helped organize the police force in one of its most dire moments. You even jumped to protect Hiroshi when the fight started, and of course after that, you then single-handedly fought more than fifty enemies by yourself to keep the prisoner, telling your allies to disregard your wellbeing to push back the Equalists!"

"If you put it like that... I guess I deserve a medal..."

"A medal your head! The people that went with you to protect the prisoner said that you should at least have the title of an honorary police chief, after the story of you fighting like a madman underground came out, everybody wanted you to get this title! What's even crazy is that even the police chief wanted to do this!"

She came closer and said something to me.

It took a few seconds to calm myself but after I did I asked her to explain in detail what happened. She said that it was my idea to tell them the moment we would switch sides since it was too dangerous for them to know beforehand, she even told Lin.

At first, Mako and Bolin didn't want to believe that it was true but she told them that we entered a long time ago because we wanted to change how the triads treat our people. But things escalated and some things came to light and we didn't want to be part of them anymore but we couldn't simply leave knowing what we knew, so we tried to change things, but we couldn't.

She said that I would go more into details when I wake up since all of this was originally my idea.

A few days passed and I finally could have visitors. All of my friends came Korra, Asami, Lin, Mako, Bolin all of them were here. So I started to tell them, how I first entered and why. What was happening to our small shop because the police wasn't doing anything. How I trained how things got out of proportion and form a group made to get rid of the triads transformed into a group to get rid of benders. How I wanted to quit but then Naomi died, how I ran from the police. What I did after, that I tried to find a way to bring Amon down. My theories about the fact that Amon is a blood bender, and the present day. Of course, I omitted some things, like the fact that I had a hidden armory and my future plans.

"That's a lot to process..."

I look at Mako and shake my head.

"I know, if you need some time to decide if we still can be friends, I understand."

"I don't need time! You might have done some bad stuff, yes but you also did a lot of good! You've always been our friend and I know that the fact that you being an equalists didn't change that. You still came to rescue me from them when I was captured. You are you always will be my friend!"

"Thanks, Bolin it means a lot to me..."

"I don't know if I should cry or I should take you in... I still have a scar from the time you hit me... But I guess I'm not entirely innocent either. I didn't know that it was so bad out there and it was my job to know. That being said I still want you to come and receive that medal and title, you might have made some mistakes in the past but I think that you've started to redeem yourself now."

"Ethan... I'm so sorry, I didn't know that this happening... You always seemed so happy, I didn't know that you felt so helpless. I'm sorry, Pema and I should have done more to help you. I feel truly sorry for not being there for you when you needed me most."

"It's no problem... I didn't tell anybody about how I truly felt because at first, I didn't trust anyone. Now things have changed. What about you Asami?"

"I... I'm so sorry I feel so sad for you and I feel like a monster... In the past days, even if I tried alI saw was one, but now that you told me about it, I feel like I'm the monster, I don't know what I would have done in those conditions, I probably wouldn't have turned out as well as you... I'm so sorry for judging you. Will you still be friends with me after all of this?"

"Of course!"

All in all, things went well, that day, and for the first time in a long time, I felt free.
