She had black hip length straight hair and cyan coloured eyes. I was kinda blown away by her beauty but she seems nice too.

“Even if he is filthy magicless, I don’t think you should waste your magic on someone like him.”

I take my compliment back and I need financial compensation for the insult.

“Kristine, stay out of it.” Joseph was much more annoyed. “A lowly magicless bumping into me? I had to burn my old uniform and buy a new one because of his filthy body touching my precious uniform.”

He is kind of getting on my nerves now but I’m bounded by Shiroyu right now. He was taking the hate to an extreme. He was really that bothered by my existence. It’s nice people noticing you.

He shot another fireball at me and it did hit me but it didn’t hurt as much as I had expected. It’s temperature was more like 70°-80°C. It was really hot but not an actual fire. I wonder why that’s the case. But the pain I got was healed by my healing magic. It was underneath my uniform so they couldn’t see it.

Joseph got ready for another attack but a professor entered the class so he had to take a seat instead.

“So, we had a new student today. Kara Kiryu. He is the husband of Historia Kiryu from the Kingdom of Scofinia and had survived all the way from Scofinia to Deem despite being magicless.” Teacher was being nice but she HAD to insert the entire magicless thing.

“WAIT!? HISTORIA MARRIED THIS THING?!” A guy shouted from behind.

So, I’m a ‘thing’ now. I should at least get paid for this verbal abuse and discrimination that I’m going through.

I showed him my left hand with the ring on the ring finger.

“Yes. We are married now.”

“I’ll win her over.” He was way too confident but I can’t tell him that Historia is a lesbian and that my marriage is a lie.

“Good luck with that.” I replied.

“Anyways, would you like to introduce yourself?” The teacher offered and I stood up.

“I’m Kara Kiryu and I’m smart. The reason we even survived the journey was my smart actions.”

And not the fact that because of my stupidity, we got almost murdered a couple times.

“Even The Platinum Order has testified for his genius. She is the sole reason why we even allowed him to come to this prestigious school.” The teacher added in.

I didn’t remember Shiroyu saying that.

“Wait? THE PLATINUM ORDER?!” Joseph and Kirstine were the most shocked but well everyone loudly gasped at the mention of that twisted woman’s name.

“You mean Shiroyu? Yea. We are friends.” I mean I did get an offer to join the grand order so I would consider us friends.

“It’s The Platinum Order, you lowlife magicless.” Kristine shouted at me.

“You know what? Shut up. I can defeat you without even using magic.” I shouldn’t have said that. Damn, I broke my promise with Historia on the first day. No, within a few hours.

“Huh? Interesting. Teacher Frieda, I challenge him to a formal duel.”

Oh so SHE is Frieda. Wait- she knows I can use magic.

“Sure.” She facepalmed.

I know how annoying they are but save me.

We were now outside the building in the colosseum.

Kristine created hundreds of small spikes of water. Nice. That is in fact a good use of water magic. She launched all them on me and none of them pierced through me. They did hurt but weren’t as deadly as I had expected. I charged towards her but she created a thick wall of water. It’d slow me down significantly but not if I jump head first. I jumped into it headfirst to create a streamlined body. I was going to punch her but my hands got wrapped in water balls. They were weighing me down. I tried kicking her but she then engulfed my head in a water bubble. I expected that.

I created a small gust of wind which came from outside the colosseum so they wouldn’t suspect use of magic. It was just to lift her skirt up. She panicked to hold her skirt down but as expected because her concentration was somewhere else the water bubble disappeared and I kicked her in the shoulder making her fall back first on the ground.

“I win.” I said as I placed my foot on her neck. If it was a real battle, I would’ve crushed her

throat.

Now, you might be calling me a cheater but let me remind you, I said I can defeat her without magic but I never said anything about actually defeating her without magic. I simply implied it as a possibility.

“You won just because of that gust or else you would’ve lost.” One of the guys shouted from the audience.

“Did I win or not?” I countered the argument. “In a normal battle, you can’t ignore such possibilities. It simply means Kirstine is inadequate and inexperienced as a fighter. That gust of wind was nature and nature can do whatever it desires. You have to be always ready. Right now you sound like a child whining.”

“He is right, Louis. Kristine lost fair and square.” Professor Frieda declared me as the winner of the battle.

We walked back into the class and took our respective seats.

I could hear all the insults that they were whispering to each other. They really hated me that much. It is quite funny with how threatened they felt by my sheer existence.

The four classes went as I had expected. The history class was of particular interest. The Empire of Deem had an expansionist agenda in the past and that’s why it is so big and why there were so many depictions of battlefields in the school.

I left the classroom and walked to the staffroom to ask for Professor Frieda. She was in her Magic research lab. I made my way to the lab but I could notice people glancing at me and then whispering amongst themselves. It was bothering me. I walked into the lab and greeted Professor Frieda.

“I knew you were twisted when The Platinum Order recommended you. Using wind magic in such a manner. If it wasn’t a battle, you could’ve gotten yourself in some serious trouble for lifting a woman’s skirt.”

“Wait, you knew I used magic?!”

“I know you have magic unlike them. Anyways, your magic was faster than what The Platinum Order had suggested.”

“I’m getting a hold of things slowly but I was wondering why those spells were so weak?”

“They were your usual spells. They were adequately strong.”

“Really? Then just my usual spells would be stronger than theirs.” I wondered.

“How do you exactly do your spells? They seemed similar to The Grand Order but more intricate.”

“My way of thinking is different. We usually imagine how things would work while performing magic, right? So, instead of imagining fire, I think of combustion of molecules. Mainly hydrogen and helium… which is technically fusion but whatever. I imagine how fire is actually made from scratch.”

“I see. The Grand Order also said something similar about how they use magic. Anyways, let’s start with your training for now.” Prof. Frieda got up and showed me the way to a different room.

As I walked in, I noticed just how big the place was. It was definitely bigger than a stadium.

Stadiums… Ah! I miss the days when I would attend concerts in such stadiums. There was this 5 member group I used to like. I wonder if they’ve released anything new.

“Ok so there are 5 targets. Use all 5 elementals and attack them as fast as you can. They regenerate so you don’t have to worry about running out of targets. Think of using a little amount of magic and then increase it slowly.”

I nodded and created a fireball and threw it at the doll no.1 and then a water dart at the doll no.2 and then a lightning strike at the doll no.3 and then a wind cutter at the doll no.4 and lastly launched extremely sharp stones at doll no.5.

“Stop.” Prof. walked over holding a notebook. “I think you will fit perfectly as a mage in a team. Since you’re from a different world, it’d take you forever to learn how to be as good of a fighter as even your bodyguard Leanna. Your magic is way too strong so focus on making it even stronger as a mage. I think you’d work the best in a team”

A mage? I see. Honestly, I don’t care about my position in a party. As long as I get to go back home, I’m good with anything.
