“Daddy?” Juliano called as he walked through the house. It was morning, and he didn’t know when he fell asleep or when Halo had left the room.

He frowned when no one answered.

“Dad?” He called, looking for Romeo. He went up to his office, but he wasn’t there. Heading to the kitchen, he made something to eat.

As he was eating the waffles Halo left for him, his eyes and mind unconsciously trailed towards his father’s office and what was underneath.

What Halo told him wasn’t only just the beginning and the people under the house? Did he know about them?

Frowning, he took out his phone and searched Nicola Steward up. It had been so many years, but there was at least one article about her.

As it was loading, a picture of Nicola slowly loaded, making his eyes widen. Didn’t he see this person? Wasn’t she supposedly killed by his father?

So all of this?

All that happened to him?

Juliano grew angry and slammed his phone on the island, shattering it. He stormed off to his father’s office and searched for the button under the desk. When he found it, he pressed it, then pushed everything out of the way.

He didn’t realise that he was walking down the steps until he stood in front of Arnold’s cell.

Arnold was asleep on the bed. He looked at the second cell and walked towards it. There Nicola was sitting up on the bed, rocking back and forth while she hummed.

Juliano looked around and didn’t see a way to open the door. He frowned.

“You look just like him, you know,” Nicola said from the bed.

Juliano looked through the window and he saw she wasn’t looking at him. His brows knitted, and he asked, “Like who?”

“Like Romeo Washington,” she answered. Her gaze moved towards the door and saw that he was looking at her. Scoffing, she said, “But you have that bitch’s eyes.”

“You mean his husband?” He asked.

Her eyes widened. She stood up and stared at him in disbelief. “No, no, no, not my poor Romeo,” she said, and started sobbing.

“Why are you here? Aren’t you supposed to be dead?” He asked.

“That’s right,” she said as she stopped sobbing and started walking around the room.

“What is it?” He asked.

She turned to him and smiled, “Romeo loves me very much, that’s why he didn’t kill me. But why did he have to lick me up in that place?”

Frowning, he wanted to know, “What place?”

“The hospital,” she said as she started playing with my hair.

Juliano was confused. He opened his mouth to say something but heard a tapping sound and went silent as he looked in that direction.

He walked towards the tapping and stopped by Arnold’s cell door. Juliano saw Arnold’s hand on the window as it tapped away and shuddered.

“What do you want?” He asked.

Arnold quickly looked through the window, giving Juliano a fright.

Arnold started laughing and said, “It’s no use asking that stupid girl anything. Your father made her go insane.”

Juliano looked at Nicola’s door then back at him, asking, “What do you mean?”

“Daddy didn’t tell you?” He snickered.

He didn’t want to be mocked by this man and left.

“Wait, wait, wait,” Arnold said, stopping him.

“I didn’t come here for you,” Juliano said.

“I see you aren’t scared of me anymore, but it’s not as though I wanted to scare you,” he said as he leaned against the door looking at Juliano.

Juliano frowned. “What’s that supposed to mean?”

He shrugged. “Whatever you want it to mean.”

“Don’t listen to him, he’ll manipulate you like he did to the rest of us,” Nicola sang in the other room.

Juliano looked towards her door and saw that she was standing there staring at him. He walked towards her and heard her sing, “He’ll touch you here and he’ll touch you there. He’ll pull your hair and he’ll lock you up.”

Stopping in front of her, he asked, “What are you singing?”

She started laughing crazily and walked away, saying, “It’s too late, it’s too late, you have that look in your eyes too.”

“Your father made us think she died. Why else do you think I’d invite you to my home?” Arnold said.

Juliano returned to his door and asked, “Why didn’t he kill her?”

“He said it was to save her from me,” he answered.

Juliano tilted his head to the left and rubbed his neck. He walked away, ignoring the words being thrown at him. Making his way to the staircase, he stopped and stared at Romeo, who was looking at him.

“When, when did you get home?” Juliano asked him.

Romeo looked around first, then asked, “Why are you down here?”

He shook his head, “I, I, why didn’t you kill her?”

Romeo sighed hearing his question and said, “Follow me.”

They stopped in the kitchen where Halo was and Romeo said, “He wants to know why Nicola is still alive.”

Halo frowned. He looked at his husband, then at Juliano. No wonder he was so upset. Sighing, Halo said, “Thank God Milaan isn’t here.”

Looking at his son, he said, “She’s an orphan that Arnold adopted and molested as he pleased. He manipulated his wife and his other children as well, doing the same to them.”

“You knew she was alive?” He asked.

Halo nodded his head. “You never got the full story, did you?”

Juliano shook his head, “No.”

“Sit down. I thought your father killed her too, but he has been hiding her in a mental facility all these years. Once we moved here, he told me about it and about her other family members, who I thought I killed, but he had them hidden away,” he said.

“So why are they here under the house?” He asked.

“So you can meet the people who hurt you,” Romeo answered.

Juliano glared at his father and yelled, “Didn’t all this shit start because of you?! Why must I look at them? Why did I have to see that man’s face again? Did you forget what he did to me?!”

Romeo walked up to Juliano and grabbed him by the hair. He dragged him out the house, out to the swimming pool, and threw him into the water. When Juliano broke through the surface of the water, he shoved his head back inside and this repeated for five times, then pulled him out of the water.

Standing over Juliano, he said, “I didn’t kill them so you would do it! Halo was glad he didn’t kill them so that you can get justice for yourself and until you grow balls, I’ll be keeping those people alive, inside our house until you decide there ending now stay out here until you cool the fuck off because I won’t have a pussy for a son!”
