Chapter 2: Interlude: 5 years later in the Whenfiern Republic magic academy

When the Holy Church performed the hero summoning, the search for the talented reincarnated individuals began immediately. They were found almost immediately. The one with the most powerful skill is still missing. Usually there is a hero born with a domain skill. Having one meant they had complete control over what ever it specified. The last one had control of the earth element. The demon king at that time was crushed by two mountains. The church insisted that there is one with a domain skill this time. All of the countries had found at least one hero except one. Whenfiern. It was a coastal nation.

Well the country had a hero but expelled it to a neighboring country citing that it wanted nothing to do with them. The past domain hero ravaged thier country in the past when they refused to send their army to help fight against the demon king. The world was more than happy to take the hero off our hands.

They do have an esteemed magical academy. I am the head professor there and recently the country asked me to assist them in investigating, in secret the recent world notification.

Milo has unlocked a unique species: Orca Beastman!

Whenever, someone or something significant enough to the world happens we get notifications like these. The reason I'm being asked to investigate this is because this is a nation of beastmen itself. A new race of us appearing is rather significant. 

I searched the entire country and couldn't find a single clue sitting in my office I sigh.

"I'll have to search outside the country at this rate. It will hinder my other research. If I had a new lead then maybe", suddenly my door burst open. A familiar elf stands there. Her long orange hair is cut at the base of her neck. Her eyes are blue. Although I'd never expect to see her here. 

"What are you doing here? Aren't you supposed be training the hero in the elven nation?" I question her. It's useless though she does things on a whim. She's a strong mage as well as a good teacher. Her name was Celia.

"I left her in the care of the elders", she says. Somehow I don't believe her.

"You're in luck I know where that new beastman is", Celia continues.

Surprised I sit up in my chair.

"How do you know and where would they be?" I ask.

"My student told me", she says plainly.

"You're going to have to eleborate on that", I tell her still perplexed.

"She said she was from a world called Earth they had these animals that lived in the water. One of them was called an orca" she explains.

"Orca was in the name of the species. Wait are you saying this person is a hero and is living in the ocean?!" She nods in excitement.

"I think I can tell the state this and they'll leave me alone and search on their own. More than likely they'll keep quiet about their search", the elf fidgets. I look up and see her looking at me expectantly.

"What is it?" I ask. Although I already have a feeling what it is.

"Can I go with them?" Celia asks sheepishly.

"You can ask when I go make the report whether they let you is up to them" I say to her. I can't get her hopes up.

"Thanks. I can't believe they got a world notification at five. How did they even manage to evolve?" Celia questions.

"I have no clue. My theory is the person evolved from the actual animal though. No one has ever heard of an orca" I say to her.

Im wondering how this person is living. She's probably on an island somewhere since they're a beastman now. It will take a long time to find her though. 

"Well I'm going to request an audience with the chancellor since I'm to report to him directly on details regarding this", we leave and make our way out of the building. The mansion where the chancellor lives is not too far from the magic academy. We arrive in no time. The guard there greets me with a warm smile. He gives the elf a glance and looks at me again.

"An informant", I say. She understands and let's us through.

We make our way to the front the door where another guard stops us.

"I'll lead you to a room where you can wait for the chancellor okay?" He says to us while beckoning us to follow him.

He guides inside and into a familiar waiting room. The chancellor arrives soon after in a hurry.

"What did you find out?" He asks me. I look to my right at Celia wanting her to explain.

"The person your looking for is in the ocean they wouldn't be found on the continent", she explains the situation to the chancellor.

"So we'd have to search islands until we find them? That could take years. Well it's a good thing the known islands are on our side of the world. I will organize a search fleet of ships under the guise of investigation. I would like you to join Ms. Celia if you don't mind. You will be essential in talking to them when we do manage to find them" The chancellor concludes.

"I wanted to go. What would make me essential though?" Celia questions.

"Well if they've been living on an island this whole time they wouldn't know our language. Knowing your nature you probably picked up the otherworldly language correct?" He explains.

"Yes I have", she confirms.

"Then it's settled I'll try to get everything ready within the next month" the chancellor then leaves in a hurry.

"Well he's a busy man", Celia remarks when he's gone. 

"Indeed this country is large and the amount of problems it has at the moment is equally large", I reply. We leave the mansion with a bit of nervousness regarding what will become of the next few years.
