Side Story 14: The World After ‘The End’ (III)
Medea, who was laughing at Jason outside the door, waved her hand when she saw Emma waiting nervously for her without the hood.
“I’m sorry, but it’s funny to see him despair…… Did you steal the body of Quies Misérian as you were told?”
* * *
During the night when she admitted that there was a strange woman in the lady’s body, Emma laid her in bed and wandered sleeplessly.
She didn’t know what to do. She didn’t know if she should tell the master or what would happen to the ‘lady’ if she said it.…. Then somehow, she realised that her surroundings were unfamiliar.
A shadowed form stared at her.
Emma collapsed on the spot because her legs were weak. The shadow asked her.
“Why is a normal person like you buried in the smell of a dragon?”
“What, What do you mean…. I’ve never seen a dragon in my life.”
“…Ha! I’m saying to use your brain.”
The shadow, who stopped talking for a while, laughed as if it was amazed. Then, she slowly appeared in front of Emma, who was puzzled without yet knowing the situation.
The red hair fluttered like blood. Emma instinctively realised that the woman in front of her was the witch from the tale. When she couldn’t even breathe properly and was frozen, the witch curved her eyes and laughed.
“Did you lose your loved one?”
“Why did she disappear… Do you want me to tell you?”
Thus, Emma learned the truth.
Why did she cry that day? It was all about why the lady disappeared and who put her in despair.
When Emma cried out with a burning anger, the witch whispered in a sweet voice.
She seduced her.
“Do you want revenge? I’ll let you have revenge.”
Hold my hand. Emma raised her head as if possessed.
The world shook all over. She knew that being a witch was a bad thing. That if she held that hand, she would fall into hell.
But Emma nevertheless did it.
Her trembling hand stretched out. When the fingertips finally touched, the witch grabbed Emma’s hand and clenched her fingers tightly. Blood dripped from Emma’s hand scratched by the sharp nails.
Say it. The witch ordered it.
“May all the people who made you sad pay for it.”
‘I hope they suffer the same as she suffered.’
The blinding red glow wrapped around the witch and Emma.
Emma came to her senses. Only after the fall of the Misérian family did she realise what she had done, but she did not regret much.
Even if she were to go back in time, she would have taken the witch’s hand herself. So she sold her master’s body to the witch, even though she knew it was against her morals.
“Yes, but why did you have to…..?”
“There’s one thing I want to experiment with. But you didn’t come to me to ask this?”
At Medea’s gaze, Emma clenched her fist and opened it. Cold sweat was glistening on the palms of her hand. Emma didn’t know exactly what would happen or the price she would have to pay, she didn’t know anything.
However, she only knew that the witch would never fail.
The time had come to pay.
“I’m here to pay for it.”
“Really? Unlike you, I have a lot of time. It would have been okay if you came to me after checking to see if the contract was properly executed.”
Emma shook her head. It seemed that waiting longer would only increase her fear. She didn’t have to take responsibility for anything anymore anyway.
Seeing Emma’s expression, Medea slowly approached her. Hesitant, Emma instinctively stepped back. Medea said as if she were soothing.
“It won’t hurt. No, is it more appropriate to say that you can’t feel anything?”
Medea’s hands wrapped around Emma’s cheeks and chin. Emma’s mouth slowly opened. She felt like something was being sucked out.
Emma dared to be sure that she would not be able to meet her even if she died.
Emma’s eyelids trembled.
When she finally opened her eyes again, much had changed.
“If it was you, you could do a good job. Whether it’s a maid or a minister…… What you will do will be similar anyway.”
Medea, who rubbed her own neck as if she were tired, raised her hand to Emma.
“Can you guard the store for now? There’s a place I have to go.”
Emma stiffened and nodded her head. Medea left the store with light steps. There was someone Medea had to meet to keep the world alive.

When she knocked on the door of the shabby house, a young voice came over from the door.
“Who are you?”
“It’s me. Let me in.”
“What?……Brother is not at home.”
“I know. I sent him, don’t you know? I came to see you today.”
Three people were needed to send Anakin.
‘Eris Misérian’ was not subjected to any restrictions when it came to harassing the main character, and even received some help. There was a witch and…….
With a strange expression, Kynthia opened the door and stepped aside so that Medea could enter the house.
“Do you still have dark eyes?”
(PR/N: meaning, are you still illiterate?)
“…Why are you asking?”
Ahh. Someone being stronger than herself in this world, she didn’t really like it.
“Do you know how to write stories? No, you don’t even know the text, you can’t.”
“Are you here to tease me?”
Kynthia’s forehead was wrinkled with annoyance. Medea smiled and pressed Kynthia’s forehead, which was wrinkled, with her thumb. Then, are you good at lying? At the witch’s last question, Kynthia shrugged.
“That’s my specialty.”
“That’s good. The world needs a new narrative. And only God can write it.”
Medea turned and looked down at Kynthia. The child in front of her didn’t seem to have noticed the situation she was in yet.
That was understandable. Because he was born infinitely ordinary, and created something special with her own hands.
Medea saw the will and desire burning like a star in the eyes of a child pretending to be shabby. So he must have thought of changing his fate by naming himself. He was indeed a naughty and cute child.
“Baby, be a god.”
Kynthia now began staring at Medea as if looking at a crazy person, but it didn’t matter.
In some games, when you reached the end of the insignificant paperboard, you turned into the most precious queen.
And it was not the pawn that determined it, but the hand that moved the pawn.
Yes, for example, someone like Medea.

(T/N: from here it is from the OG novel, kind of spin-off (?) Or parallel world)
Helena Antebellum realised too early the truth that this world was too generous for her. The world loved and longed for her favour.
Even if she had done something wrong, it tried to understand or vindicate her, and if Helena showed a slight apology, everyone forgave her.
They were like people who were afraid of being hated by her.
No flower or jewel will shine as much as you.
Everyone had talked about it until their mouths were worn out, Helena had no choice but to acknowledge that her own looks were outstanding.
However, that alone did not justify all this favouritism. Helena knew a girl who was hated by everyone, but she was as beautiful as her.
She was smarter than her, but she was never recognized for trying hard. Rather, she was often compared to her and blamed. And all her flaws led to Helena’s praise.
The whole world revolved around Helena. Like ‘the world was created for her’.
One dawn when she realised it, Helena Antebellum heard the bell thirteen times. And the next day, a beautiful woman with red hair visited her.
“You’re our new sister.”
“What? Who are you?”
“I’m Medea. I’m the ninth witch of this land and the last witch left in the empire. Now that I have you, I’m not the last witch.”
Helena blinked at Medea’s words. Witch? Isn’t that a ‘Bad Thing’?
Medea smiled softly, perhaps reading her expression.
You seem to have a lot to ask. Medea whispered, as she fiddled with Helena’s hair.
“If you come back here at night, I’ll let you meet my other sisters. We will also let you know what new power you will have. It’s going to be a lot of fun.”
“But if I get caught by someone…….”
“You won’t get caught. But who cares if you get caught?”
You’ll be forgiven anyway. Helena nodded as if possessed by the eyes that knew everything. It was a suspicious proposal, but there was no doubt.
That was because after Medea appeared, the fallen leaves stopped in the air.
