Chapter 3: Chapter 2 Welcome to the New World

When Lei Shun opened his eyes, he was welcomed by a New World, and nearby were his mother and sister, who looked puzzled and terrified. Looking around with a calm expression, he appeared to be in a dense jungle. "What exactly is going on?" With a concerned and puzzled expression on his face, Lei Shun questioned. 

Lei Shun asked his mother, "Are you okay?" as Lei Mei-Ling took a deep breath to settle her anxiety. "Yes, I'm alright thank you, sweety." Lei Shun said with a motherly smile, "Ok, good, we can't stay in one place for a long time, we have to go." Lei Shun smiled back as he looked at his adoring mother and sister. 

Lei Mei-Ling stood up from the ground, and Lei Xinyi was clinging to her leg, looking adorable. Then, suddenly, a screen flashed in front of them. All three were caught off guard by what had just occurred, and then they noticed what appeared to be a status panel with their names.

"It looks like my strength is lacking; this must be due to a lack of sufficient diet as a result of living on the streets." Lei Shun sighed as he saw Lei Mei-Ling and Lei Xinyi, who were both focused on their own Status panels. "Let's get out of here, we don't want to get into trouble.“ Lei Shun said, attracting her attention, Lei Mei-Ling smiled and nodded.

 

Journey through the Jungle

Lei Shun was walking through the deep forest; the trees were tall, thick, and stacked together, blocking out the sunlight but allowing some to pass between the branches; the entire jungle gave off a faint green color through the leaves, which helped a lot with no clear path and no sense of direction but following his intuition and instinct. When he arrived upon an old ruin, he couldn't tell if it was a temple or a palace in the middle of nowhere, shrouded in vines, and full of cracks and shattered walls. "What is this place?" Lei Shun muttered to himself.

"Lei Shun, be careful." Lei Mei-Ling worriedly hugged Lei Xinyi as she trailed slowly after Lei Shun. "I know, I'll be careful." Lei Shun said, with a faint smile and he nodded his head, "Why don't you and Lei Xinyi wait outside, while I examine this ancient ruin?" Lei Mei-Ling replied with a motherly smile and concern for her son. "Okay, I'll wait for you here."
