As I rubbed her, I could feel something like a mental connection form with her body as Melty moaned and kissed up my arm to my shoulder as she held onto my arm. I used my other hand to help support her as she started to move faster in the water against my fingers.
I suddenly felt like I could understand her body and what it needed. I willed the water to start turning into magical power within her, and it did so willingly. I started feeling a little more pleasure myself as whatever was happening increased, and Melty cried out loudly as she came hard against my fingers while gripping onto my arm tightly.
A moment later, Melty's whole body was surrounded by a white light before fading away, leaving only a few bubbles behind in the tub where she had been sitting just moments before. I waited a few moments before the light reappeared, and Melty was back in the tub with her long black hair now up in a ponytail.
"What did you do?" Melty asked as she felt her body and looked down at herself.
"I increased the amount of water your can hold internally by quite a lot," I explained, and she gasped as I helped her out of the tub.
"That is amazing! What else can you do?" Melty asked excitedly as she towel dried herself off before getting dressed quickly.
It was time to get moving if we were going to make it to Sasha's place on time, so I told Melty that we would talk more about it later. We made our way downstairs, where Fiona was talking with Kilakarai about something while they both ate some food.
"Azriel! You are just in time! We were just discussing what our plans for today are," Fiona said excitedly as she came over and hugged me tightly while still chewing on something.
I looked over at Kilakarai, who was busy eating a piece of red meat and looking at me with her bright red eyes. It made me wonder what the demoness was up to. "So what are we doing today?" I asked as I pulled away from Fiona.
"Well, we need to go clean the dungeon, or I need to go stand over Kilakarai while she does it! There is still nothing down there!" Fiona complained, and Kilakarai rolled her eyes as she tore off a chunk of her meat.
"Can I talk to you for a moment?" I asked Fiona, and she nodded as we walked into the other room.
I told her about my conversation with Laura and how I unintentionally heard her thoughts. Fiona was really interested in what happened, but she had no idea how it could have happened either since. It only should happen when two people are fighting together or when they are both trying to achieve the same goal, so this was something new that we would have to investigate.
Fiona said she would look into it while we were dealing with other things and see if there was anything in any of the books about mind reading from a Ghost Transfer. After our little chat, we rejoined Kilakarai, who had finished eating everything on her plate and licked it clean before getting up from the table. Melty was just finishing some bacon, and I scooped up a couple pieces for the road.
"So, are we going now?" Kilakarai asked impatiently, making Fiona sigh loudly as she put her head in her hands for a moment before standing up straight again with determination in her eyes. "Fine! Let's go!"
I watched as they left, and Melty came over with a small pouch.
"This is food for you and some supplies. This is a magical bag that can hold a lot more than it looks like, so you don't have to worry about running out of space," Melty explained, and I thanked her before slipping the small pouch into my pocket.
"I am going to get stronger, and we come back with some huge bounties this time!" I told her, and she nodded with a brave smile on her face as she kissed me before turning into a sword.
[Be careful out there, my King.]
I smiled and headed out of the castle and out the gate into town. I was immediately hit with dirty looks, stares, and even angry ones. For a king, I wasn't really liked that much, but it wasn't like I taxed them.
They just hated me because I wasn't human like them.
I was a monster.
As I walked through the village, people would stop what they were doing to watch me. I could hear the whispers and threats as I walked by. "Demon!" "Go back to where you came from!" "We don't want your kind around here!"
I just ignored them, but I knew it wouldn't be long before they started throwing things at me. It was only a matter of time before someone threw a rock or something worse. That day, it turned out to be a tomato that hit the back of my head and exploded all over the place.

"What the hell is wrong with you, people? All I am trying to do is help!" I yelled as I turned around and glared at the crowd that had gathered while more people came out of their homes to see what was going on. "I have done nothing but try and help this village since I got here! All you have done is give me dirty looks, stares, and now tomatoes! What do you want from me?"
"We want you gone!" someone yelled from the crowd, and more people started chiming in with similar sentiments until it felt like everyone was shouting at me.
"Then next time a monster comes, you can deal with it! I will deal with everyone else's problem and leave you all to be overrun! Hell, I might even bring some monsters back to set loose! Is that what you want from me? That is my castle up there, and you are in the village below me!" I snapped and took off out of town, heading to where Sasha's cave was. The humans were really starting to get on my nerves. They would be begging me for help if there was a monster attacking them, but the rest of the time, I was just another monster that they put up with.
I was getting really fed up with it.
I made my way to Sasha's cave, but I took a detour so I could find some food. I didn't know how long I was going to be out here, so I didn't want to give her any of our rations if I could just hunt food for her. I also wanted to take out some of my anger on something.
I found a small deer in the forest, and it didn't even see me coming. I snapped its neck before gutting it and skinning it. It only took me a few minutes to get the meat off the bones, which I put into my pouch for now. It was time to head back so Sasha could have some food without resorting to eating any of the villagers, even if it served them right in my mind.
As I got closer to the cave, I could see Sasha crouched down in front of the entrance. She looked up at me as I approached, and her face softened a little bit when she saw the deer meat.
"I was getting a little hungry," Sasha admitted as she stood up and dusted off her fur. The Were-Tiger was looking much calmer today, almost worried, but it was hard to tell after I dropped the big bundle of meat down and she started digging into it.
"What is wrong? You seem a lot more subdued today. Did something happen?" I asked, and Sasha looked up from her meat.
"There was a Demonic Bear prowling around here. I was watching to make sure it didn't sneak up on me," Sasha explained, and I nodded my head. It would explain why she looked so on edge when I got here.
"Did you kill it?" I asked, and Sasha shook her head as she went back to eating.
"No, it wasn't necessary. The bear wasn't looking for a fight, just food," Sasha explained, and I raised an eyebrow in confusion. Most monsters were always looking for a fight unless they were scared shitless or something was wrong with them.
"What do you mean? Most monsters are always looking for a fight," I said, and Sasha shrugged her shoulders between bites.
"Most predators don't usually start fights unless they are extremely hungry or provoked. The bear was just hungry," Sasha explained, and I frowned as I thought about what she said. It made sense in a way, but most monsters weren't that smart to know when to back down from a fight or not pick one in the first place.
"Do all predators have that same self-preservation?"
"Not all of them, no," Sasha replied after finishing her meal, and she started licking her fur clean. "Some are born reckless and don't know when to quit fighting even when their life is at stake, but those are the ones that want to see the world burn. The horrors are like that, and they taste gross!"
"So what does a Demon taste like?" I asked curiously, and Sasha made a face as she thought about it.
"It honestly depends on the Demon. Some of them have a weird aftertaste, while others are just straight-up bitter," Sasha explained, and I nodded my head in understanding. It sounded like Demons were just as varied in taste as they were in appearance.
"What about Angels? Do they exist? What do they taste like?" I asked as more of a joke, but Sasha grinned widely as she leaned back on her hind legs.
"Yes! Angels are the best thing in the world! They taste like ambrosia!" Sasha exclaimed, and my eyes widened in surprise. Ambrosia was a food of the Gods that was supposed to be so delicious that it was addicting. I had never tasted it before, but I had heard stories about people going crazy for just a single bite.
"Seriously? Angels taste like ambrosia?" I asked skeptically, and Sasha nodded her head vigorously. "I find that hard to believe."
"Well, it's true! You should try one sometime," Sasha said with a mischievous glint in her eye, and I frowned as I thought about it. It sounded too good to be true, but at the same time, that felt a bit too much like cannibalism to me. If I could eat some of their Erotic Essence, then that might be just as good?
