“Oh, also get Ivar’s number Ivan. I can start a group chat with the four of us vampire bloodline chasers if you do.”
“Okay, I’ll try to but it might be hard because most people know not to give out private info.”
“Yeah, you’re right.”
After talking for a little bit longer, Enzo and Ivan returned to their rooms to get some rest before the next session.
While the DIVR headgear did put them in a sleep like state, it wasn’t real sleep. The headgear kept your brain active the whole time, so after leaving the game they still felt tired.
It definitely wasn’t as bad as if they had just come from a normal day, but they still needed at least a nap to get rid of the mental fatigue.
Before Enzo closed his eyes, he picked up his phone.
There he saw a text from an unsaved number.
Enzo knew it was Pepper, so he unlocked his phone and saved the number as, “Juliet (Pepper)”, before reading it.
[Hi Atlas, it’s me Pepper.]
Enzo then responded to her message.
[Hello Pepper. Just call me Enzo when we aren’t in the game lol.]
[Haha, okay but you have to call me Juliet then.]
[Okay lol. What time do you think you will be able to log back on btw?]
[At first I was going to take a few hours after our headgears finished charging because I wanted to go grocery shopping, but I’ll just do it another day]
[Are you sure?]
[Yeah, we need to catch up to those people who already made it through the dungeon]
[Okay, I will be up and ready to go once the 4 hours are up then] Enzo replied.
He then told Juliet all about the conversation he had with Ivan.
She became very excited that their group of 2 now expanded to a group of 4 and potential 5.
There is strength in numbers, and hopefully since they are all looking for vampire bloodlines it will be much easier with each other’s help.
Enzo and Juliet’s resolve was strengthened even further after their talk. They both knew they needed to catch up to Ivan and Ivar quickly so that they wouldn’t be kept waiting for too long.
~
“Ready?” Enzo asked.
“Of course.” Juliet replied with a smile.
They were both now back in the game and standing in front of the gates.
The plan for today was to level up as fast as possible while searching for the Tutorial Dungeon.
Ivan told them the dungeon would be located at the heart of the forest, so it would be easiest to find if they just went to the middle of the forest on their maps.
Juliet and Enzo would then hunt 12 monsters in total and skin them. After that, they would sell the skins to the clothing shop owner which should fully level them up to level 10.
After strapping on their weapons they bolted through the trees as fast as they could.
Because their agility was so high, some of the lower leveled players would give them astonished stares as they zoomed by.
With an agility stat of 12, Enzo was now much faster than the fastest human ever was on earth and Juliet was about the same.
It only took 30 minutes to get to the level 10 area of the forest because of how fast the two were and because Juliet’s tracking skill allowed them to avoid the lower leveled beasts very well.
After another hour passed Enzo said, “Whew, that’s the 12th one. Do you want to look for the dungeon first or go back and level up first?”

“Dungeon.” Juliet replied.
Enzo nodded his head. He believed that was the smarter option as well.
The two then got to searching, it only took a few minutes because they were already in the heart of the forest.
“Cool…” Enzo muttered.
In front of them, in a clearing, was a very large tree.
Its diameter was bigger than at least 5 other trees combined.
In the middle of the large trunk of the tree was a door.
It was very obvious that that this was the entrance to the dungeon, so Enzo pulled out his map and remembered the exact location.
“Alright let’s go. We need to beat the other players.” He told Juliet.
They sprinted through the forest once again, and didn’t stop running until they appeared in front of the clothing shop in the plaza of the village.
“We would like to sell animal skins!” Enzo shouted once he regained his breath.
The lady smiled at them and started the transaction.
A few moments later…
Ding!
[You have leveled up! 9 -> 10]
[You will not gain any more experience points until you complete the Tutorial Dungeon located in the forest of your starter village. Good luck player!]
“We did it. Now for the hard part.” Enzo said to Pepper.
They were about to sprint away again, but remembered to add their stat points. They might need every advantage they could get in the tutorial dungeon.
[Agility: 12 -> 14]
[Available Stat Points: 2 -> 0]
Enzo decided to go with agility again. It was his strongest attribute at the moment and he wanted to keep relying on it as they went into the Tutorial Dungeon.
Enzo and Juliet then sprinted once again back out of the city, through the gates, into the forest, and to the dungeon entrance.
When they arrived, they wasted no time at all.
“Sigh, you ready?” Enzo asked.
He was more talking to himself than Juliet, but she still answered.
“Yup.”
Enzo twisted the wooden door knob of the exquisite dark brown door and pulled it towards him.
They tried to peer in, but there was nothing they could see.
It was just pitch black.
Enzo turned to Juliet and then shrugged his shoulders as if to say, “Oh well, let’s just go”, before stepping in.
She nodded her head and then followed him through the black portal.
