'Thats right. Li Wei is going to meet his main male lead here isn't he?' He subconsciously looked for signs of him with his eyes but couldn't find him, so turned away.
In the novel, this pool incident couldn't exactly be called 'meeting' as he'd said it, but the male lead would take notice of the protagonist. As it turned out, amongst the friends who had been noted of the gathering, one of them was directly related to Gu Lan zhang- the pup like male lead. After being practically dragged to this place, due to all the praises that was sang of Li Wei, he would have a noncommittal remeberance of this person. Afterall, who wouldn't remember someone who was so heavily praised in their ear, to the point that they couldn't even breathe.
"Since our little time off has been interrupted, I might as well go back to work." Zhong Wei's voice entered his ears and he turned to face him. "Are you sure about that?" He asked, with a slightly mocking tone, probably at his workaholic nature. "Well, I'd much rather do that than spend the day sleeping." Zhong Wei replied, as he went up the stairs while Wei Luo turned in the direction of the kitchen.
"Oh well, suit yourself. I mean you could go out for a walk, read a book or do anything else other than work, but what do I know." He murmured under his breath. After passing a particular door however, he paused, raised an eyebrow, then reversed his steps.
The door he went back to was slightly open with a little light peeking out from the small crack. A strange sound came from behind it and Wei Luo pondered if he wanted to open the door or run.
'This is a story of simple, fluffy romance not a horror or thriller right? Not a murder mystery either. I should be safe.' With that thought, he opened the door with one fell swoop.
In the middle of the white guest bathroom stood a shirtless male with lightly scattered hair, unzipped pants that were slightly lowered, his belt on the sink and tissue in his hands. He was obviously flustered, as shown on his reddened face, ears and neck. To the side of the sink laid a phone with a picture of Li Wei brightly showing on the screen. It was also a very recent picture as it showed him in the pool room, with his shirt off and sitting with his legs in the water.
He had a bright smile on his face; so bright that the background had blurred.
"........................."
"...Carry on."
Wei Luo's lips pressed into a thin line and he very slowly drew the door back to a close.
"To each their own, I guess." He walked away wishing he could erased that memory, when he heard a shout from the place he'd just left. The door suddenly opened and the person rushed to him.
"W-Wait! Hold on." Wei Luo's arm was suddenly held, and he frowned slightly before promptly shrugging the other's hand off. He then turned to face the panting male with undisguised rejection. He has an idea where that hand had probably been a few minutes ago, and wanted nothing to do with it.
"Whatever you're thinking, it's not. I swear, it's a misunderstanding." The male said between panting breaths. He was almost as tall as he was; if Wei Luo was 1.9m which he was, then he was 1.8m. He had brown curtain styled hair with a white headband over his forehead. Sporting a red shirt and white pants, he just looked like your everyday friendly, handsome next door neighbor.
'One, who probably does unspeakable deeds with your pictures in the middle of the night while you sleep.' Wei Luo thought, as he took the last slip of wine.
"Alright." He replied, while trying to make his way off but was stopped halfway again.
"Wait wait. ...Do you remember me?"
"........." Wei Luo's eyes moved to the side and back.
'Ah, I see. He must've gone mad from overstimulation.'
Looking at his blank, possibly annoyed expression, the male took his hand back and scratched the back of his head embarrassedly. "Judging by your look, you probably don't. Anyway, it's fine. I'll just return this to you either way." He began to search his pockets and Wei Luo narrowed his eyes slightly. Now that he thinks about it, the boy does look a tiny tad bit familiar.
Soon, an almost stretched out hairband was given to him. He had to scan and re-scan the band before his eyebrows shot up slightly in realization. "Oooh mhm. I remember you now. You're that guy." He still held the empty wine glass in his hand as he talked.

"I'm not 'that guy', I'm Lan... yu."
"Mmhmm. Alright, goodbye then Lanyu." He turned to walk away before pausing again. "Oh right. Thanks for returning this. It was one of my favourites." His monotonous voice and expression made it a bit hard to believe his words, but since when did he care. He just walked off after that, not even giving the other a chance to say anything in return.
As Lan Zhang watched the male walk off like that, he almost slipped on his own tears.
Again!
He did it again!
First it was a dumbass, now it's a pervert!
'Ah! Why is the world this way!'
Ever since he made that mistake the first time he and Wei Luo met, Lan Zhang's creative mind had returned to him. Perhaps it was the harsh collision between them that caused it.
Yes, his creativity came back, but at what cost!
Whenever he thought of the expression the stunning man had given to him, his heart clenched in pain. He's always cared about his image and strived to have a good reputation with everyone. But his first slip down had to be with someone like that!
Maybe, if the person wasn't so good-looking or carried such an aura, he wouldn't feel as bad whenever he remembered.
But he was!
He was very much!
Since then, he'd been balancing his 'art life', with his 'searching-for-a-redemption life'. However, it was futile. Even with all his searching, he couldn't find that person again. It was like he just vanished into thin air.
At a point, he was even beginning to think ot was a hallucination, but whenever he saw the hairband he knew the other was real.
He'd lied to check the security cameras, and saw him around the art school before he left. Afterwards, he lingered around under the guise of watching the sweat and blood of actors for inspiration, but didn't even get a glimpse of him. Not like he could ask others about him either as that could raise suspicions, leave footprints and probably blow up in his face in the future.
He was stuck.
With his search, he picked up the habit of putting the hairband around his wrist. Which was why, even after he gave up weeks later, the habit still followed him. It bacame like a bracelet, and he even went on to buy other colours of it, with headbands to match.
The only reason the headband was in his pocket at that moment, was directly related to the reason he was found like that.
He was the person who'd been pushed down when people were rushing into the pool room!
