Actually, even if Wei Luo had not been there at the time Lan Zhang had collided into him, he would've still fallen on that same spot at that same time, except he would've slipped on a rock since he was a natural clutz.

In other words, he would've still gotten his inspiration back. He just wouldn't have had the whole heartache he did, if Wei Luo was not there.

But of course, that doesn't matter anymore.

Because now, he has crippling depression.

The morning was fuzzy and a little cool. The sun peeked from behind the clouds and the breeze blew softly through their hair and clothes.

"I don't want to be here." Lan Zhang said, taking a small bite out of the chocolate bar in his hand. He yawned soon after, but almost had someone's finger stuck in his mouth that he had to slap off.

"Oh come on Lan Zhang, it'll be fun I promise."

"The only thing I find 'fun' right now, is sleeping. Everything else can go to hell."

At the time, despite not wanting to, Lan Zhang had been practically dragged by his roommates who were eager. He didn't want to go anywhere today, because he'd stayed up all night on a painting due to his usual random 3am motivation. But instead of letting him sleep, he was forced to come to whatever was going on here.

He could tell by the demeanor of the host that even he didn't want them around, but these blinded people just wouldn't see that!

His day became even worse when the door to the pool room opened. He didn't know the bastard who started the stampede, but in the midst of it, he felt someone push him from behind- causing him to fall and land on the chocolate snack he was eating. He stood up while resisting the urge to curse everybody, and instead made his way out while other things were happening.

"Damn you 3am inspiration. Damn you sun. Damn you people. Damn you all." He really was so tired today; in other words, physically and mentally unprepared to deal with life and all it's everyday issues.

He had to walk for a little while, before spotting a maid he could ask for directions to a place he could clean himself up. Seeing his current predicament, the lady wasted no time in leading him to one of the guest bathrooms.

He thanked her, then went straight to the mirror, not caring and eventually forgetting to shut the door completely.

After lamenting and complaining about the stain on his clothes, Lan Zhang tried to use a piece of tissue to wipe it off but it didn't work. In that fit of annoyance, he took off his shirt to work on it better; then realized he wasn't wearing any innerwear, his belt was loosely fastened, and even his boxers were inside out.

"........."

He looked down at himself, then to the mirror again.

"I'm a failure".

It was most likely that since he hadn't slept, he'd put on his outfit in that sleepy state and ended up the mess he currently was.

"Haah... Well, might as well just take this time to straighten myself up."

The door not being properly fastened had still slipped his mind, probably due to the effect the lack of sleep had on his brain. He took off his clothes- including his headband and 'bracelet'. Halfway through wearing them back and mumbling complaints to himself, he received a message. At the time, he had just worn his pants but still hadn't buckled them or worn his belt. He picked up the tissue laying on the phone, while simultaneously using his free finger to tap the screen without picking it up.

Afterwards the picture of Li Wei appeared. It was an attachment sent by one of his friends praising how good-looking and pretty Li Wei was.

He had just looked at his phone to read the message, when the door opened, causing him to freeze slightly in shock. The shock turned into utter embarrassment, shame and pain when he saw the person who had pushed the door open. That was why he looked so flustered and red when Wei Luo looked at his face.

Wei Luo who didn't know all that, had now labelled him as a peverted pig teammate, without much thought. He didn't see any Lanyu in the novel, neither did he see anything special about the person, so didn't give him much attention in his mind.

He wouldn't start suspecting him just because he had a 'Lan' in his name, when there were other people in the world asides the protagonists. He'd already come across many 'Lans' and even 'Lan Zhangs'.

A name was nothing special.

"Maybe I should go take a nap too". Wei Luo had just gotten to the stairs when he heard some noises coming from the front door. 'Looks like the brothers have returned already'. In the novel, they came back at this time and met Li Wei struggling to keep up with the party, but judging by the picture on Lanyu's phone, things seemed to be going smoothly in there.

He was right. Due to his interference, the people who knew their coming wasn't planned felt guilty after seeing Li Wei's nervousness at the time. They decided to offer their help with the whole thing, in order to lessen his burdens and their guilt.  They'd try to make everything successful, so that even Li Wei's brothers won't look at him less.

The people that had arrived walked in his direction. Asides the maid were four others- those being the twins, his red haired younger brother and the original protagonist, Sang yun. When Wei yan, the relatively shorter one of the twin boys caught sight of him, his eyes brightened and he immediately ran to him.

"Gege!"  [ɢᴇ-ɢᴇ = ᴀɴ ᴇɴᴅᴇᴀʀɪɴɢ ᴡᴀʏ ᴏғ ᴄᴀʟʟɪɴɢ ᴏᴜᴛ ᴏʟᴅᴇʀ ʙʀᴏᴛʜᴇʀ. ᴅᴏᴇsɴ'ᴛ ʜᴀᴠᴇ ᴛᴏ ʙᴇ ʙʟᴏᴏᴅ ʀᴇʟᴀᴛᴇᴅ. ]

"Mm. Be careful my hair's still a little wet." Wei Luo calmly told the kid that had latched himself to his body. "Gege! I had a test today" As Wei yan talked, Sang yun and Cheng Wei, the red haired kid, said their greetings and went up the stairs. Wei yun however, remained back, probably waiting for his brother.

Wei yan searched through his bag and brought out a sheet of paper which he happily handed over to Wei Luo.

"Oh? A ninety-six? Impressive" Wei Luo gave the kid the acknowledgement he was looking for, and could see the brightening of the boy's eyes. "Ehee. I was-"

"Tch. Jumping around over a ninety-six. I got a hundred and you don't see me doing that." Wei yun snorted, and cast a small glance in their direction. The sense of a prideful man trying to be humble came from his tone, but also a hint of something else.

"Oh..." Wei yan visibly deflated and Wei Luo looked at this pair of twelve year olds.
