Li Wei sat in the passenger seat of the car, occasionally glancing sideways at the person driving. The male's gaze had more focus and attention on the road than it did when it was directed at him. His shirt was rolled up to his elbows as it rested on the steering wheel and at times the fingers would stretch, showing off the double rings on them.

The black watch on his wrist glistened as the sun shone through the windscreen. Wei Luo looked at the outer mirror of the car before looking to the side. They were currently stuck in traffic and he was wondering what route to take that would be faster.

He didn't want this little guy late.

In the original novel, to stay away from one of the protagonist's bosses, Li Wei decided to go to school from home instead of staying in one of the university dorms.

As luck would have it, the place wasn't far so it wasn't too hard making it to and fro everyday. Mr and Mrs Huo had no qualms for that,

Which was why Wei Luo was currently driving with Li Wei to school.

Li Wei slowly took a breath and turned to face the man driving. "Uhm I don't think we've had a proper introduction with each other... Since yesterday."

"Hmm?" Wei Luo hummed "I know your name and age. What else could you possibly want to introduce for it to be a proper introduction?" His attention was still on the road as he drove, with one hand on the steering wheel and the other on the window.

"W-well we're ...brothers now..." Li Wei slowly paused as he said that, trying to see how he would react to him calling himself part of the family. When he saw Wei Luo's expression had no negative change, he breathed a sigh of relief in his heart and continued.

"...So we should try to get to know each other more."

Wei Luo glanced at Li Wei through the corner of his eyes for a second before returning to the road. Li Wei was smiling as he said the last sentence. His eyes were curved as his white teeth showed through pink lips. The sun filtered in from the screen and landed on his fair face - illuminating it.

Wei Luo nodded a little. He wasn't very moved, but he could admit.

Li Wei was pretty.

'Well that's a given since he's the protagonist, who was capable of unknowingly snatching bosses from another protagonist.'

"Is that so? What do you want to know then?" Wei Luo's voice was always calm without ripples when he talked. People who hear his voice would feel like it was told by an immortal above mortal worries.

In simple words, it sounded apathetic.

"Hmm... I heard you entered the university at 7 years old. How did it feel like?" Li Wei's voice unlike his, was soft and clear - filled with spring youth and had a nice undertone.

'Hm. Good for voice acting.' That was the only thing that crossed Wei Luo's mind, when he thought about Li Wei's voice that seemed closer to his ears now.

He looked at the smaller man as he turned the wheel, making his way into the school environment.

"You sound like you're expecting me to say something in particular. Do you want me to say I was scared?" He swiftly parked the car and began to pack up to leave. Li Wei who felt he was making progress, naturally didn't give up his chance. He quickly got out of the car and followed after the other.

As Wei Luo watched Li Wei leave the car, he locked it and continued on his way with the little tail following after him.

"Weren't you? Going to a place like this at seven years. No matter how smart you are, there would still be some little insecurities wouldn't there?"

As the two of them walked beside each other, passersby who recognised Li Wei wondered who the person with him was.

Was he a senior from a different department?

When they got to a particular place, Wei Luo suddenly stopped. Li Wei halted and looked up, showing the difference between 190cm and 165cm man up close.

"Are you going to keep following me?" He had one of his hands tucked into his pocket and the other was holding his phone and car keys.

As if realising, Li Wei's face flushed in embarrassment and he began to fidget, causing Wei Luo to commend his acting skills in his heart.

"N-no. Sorry, I got carried away. I'll go now. See you later." He waved and ran off. Where Wei Luo's eyes couldn't reach, he palmed his forehead before dragging his hand down his face.

'Haah atleast he talked.' Even though Wei Luo didn't smile as they conversed, the fact that he was willing to say a few words was a sign of potential to the simple film Emperor.

For the original Wei Luo of the novel, a situation as small as this was but a pipe dream.

Li Wei was trying to get his favour?

Impossible.

He was the one always trying to get the attention of his brothers and family. He was the one always doing his best to compete with Li Wei to get more acknowledgement. He was the one always looking for favour.

'I can be just as good as him.'

'I can be better.'

He wanted to prove this but failed countless times to the point of becoming obsessed with bringing down Li Wei.

This scenario of people trying to get his favour instead had never and was never supposed to happen.

Wei Luo was passing by the large fountain when he received a phone call. The winds and picked up, now blowing through the lovely trees and vegetation planted in the school. The scenery was quite nice, so he paused to enjoy it while answering.

Minutes into his phone call, someone suddenly bumped into him harshly from behind. He felt something pull off the rubberband on his hair as he shuffled forward to balance himself, while hearing a thud from behind him.

He turned to see what caused it and saw a male sitting on the ground. The person was staring up at him dumbly and Wei Luo's eyes narrowed in slight annoyance.

"Watch where you're going next time." It seemed the male had something more to say, but Wei Luo didn't listen before turning to walk off.

'What bad luck in the morning.' Wei Luo clicked his tongue before continuing on his activity.

He may or may not have forgotten to a slight extent, that he was in the world of a novel now.

A very illogical novel.
