Chapter 3: Ch3 – Know thy area

"Meanwhile, I'll get a pretty good look at the booboo Tinman." said Fushichin sarcastically.

Fushichin hopped over to the victim and peered at him at a distance where people could mistake him for kissing the victim.

"Hey, careful! What if you destroy evidence?" claimed Juniper, her eyes widening with fear.  

"Interesting, look. The collar of his shirt is ripped at the backside. And his clothes do look wrinkly, don't you think?" said Fushichin as he pointed at the body.  

Galtomor rushed towards them and after examining for a bit.

"Yeah, you're right. There was a struggle!" said Galtomor happily.  

He looked at Fushichin with a smirk and said  "Good job Fushi, I'm glad you're philosophizing less and putting your mind to it."

But Fushichin seemed more offended by his words. 

"I don't philosophize. You need to fill your head with thoughts to philosophize. I don't do that. I simply see..." said Fushichin but his eyes dropped and he continued "or I try to at least."

Soon Marian, Yumiko and Mew finished with their paintings.

"This is the floor 1 map. It shows the outsides of the mansion as well.”said Marian. 

“The blue lines indicate the doors. The red lines indicate the stairs. And this is the second floor." said Marian and showed the other picture. 

 "Wow, the mansion really is huge." said Galtomor with a booming voice.  

Below the painting the following was written:

Room descriptions: Yumiko’s, Jude’s, Hori’s, Mew’s, Succi’s, guest’s rooms have single windows in each one of them and none of them were broken. The windows have a small part that can be opened but it’s not enough for a person to fit in, a person's head can barely fit through it. 

The dark room has no windows and no lighting. There are toys and old magazines in the room

and a mattress in case someone wants to sleep there."

The basketball court is surrounded by 5 meter walls from all sides and there is a face detector that logs who was in the basketball court and when. The tennis court is connected to the basketball court. It is surrounded by 3 meter walls from all sides. You need to go through the basketball court in order to enter and exit the tennis court."

Dozens of carton boxes as well as a wardrobe for gym clothes are in the tennis court. The basketball and tennis court have no ceilings.

The toolshed is a small room that contains hammers, nails, snowboard, bicycles and a grappling hook. These tools were still in place when Marian, Jude, Yumiko, Succi and the investigators came to check it."

 "Why have face detectors inside a basketball court?" asked Galtomor while raising his eyebrows.   

"Because dad thought it would be a good idea to count the amount of time our family members are spending inside the basketball court and the tennis court. The more you spend the better and healthier he said." said Mew while reminiscing. 

"And you don’t need to voluntarily scan your face. The sensors placed on all four walls of the basketball court will just scan your face and will detect when you entered there and how much you spent time there and will save a data of it." said Marian with a smile.  

Fushichin quickly walked towards her and asked "And where does the data get sent to and where can we check it out?"

 "Inside the office. We also have footage for the camera of the garage, record of the room unlock and lock there as well" said Marian.  

"All right, that sounds promising. Let’s go there together, miss Marian." said Fushicin with a smile.

Fushichin grabbed Marian’s hand and pulled her out of the room.

"Galtomor, Salim choose 1 household member. We’re going to start questioning their alibis. And call everyone else who was in the mansion during the day of the murder." said Klancy with a smile.  

 "Roger that." said Galtomor with a nod.  

The detectives went out of the room with the suspects and told the others about the plan.

Fushichin was at the office with Marian. The office was a small room with bookcases around the wall. There was a white table with a computer on top at the end of the room. Marian was sitting on the chair in front of the table while scrolling through the contents of the computer. The two of them watched the security footage of the garage. The footage showed: 

“11:55 AM- Joseph’s car entered the garage. When George and Joseph were exiting their cars Jack’s car entered the garage.

Jack got out of his car, greeted Joseph but quickly went away.

12:00 PM - Mikhail’s car entered the garage. Succi, Reiner, Jude entered the garage. Nile and Mikhail exited the car.

There were a bunch of greetings but Joseph went away. Soon Jude and George went away.

12:20 PM- Jude returned with Mew. Nile showed a giant rabbit figure from Mikhail’s car. Succi, Reiner, Nile carried the figure and went away. Mew, Jude also disappeared from cam.

14:55 PM- Reiner returned and slept on the bed that was placed in the garage.

18:30 PM- Reiner opened his eyes and started moving, he went away.

19:03 PM- George entered the garage and pulled out a trolley with a rolled up white sheet on it from the cargo section of Mikhail’s car. Then he disappeared from view.

22:03 PM- Joseph and Reiner entered the garage and put a giant cardon box inside the trunk of Joseph’s car. 

22:10 PM- Joseph entered his car and drove off."

23:35 PM- Mikhail, Jack, Nile, George, Reiner, Succi entered the garage. Jack sat in his own car and went away.

George put the trolley with white sheet on it into Mikhail’s car’s cargo and then Mikhail, Jack, George sat in Mikhail’s car and the car went away."

 "Wow, poor Reiner. He doesn't have his own room? And sleeps inside the garage?" asked Fushichin with snark.   

 "Err, well, we do have a guest bedroom. He occasionally sleeps there but Joseph did occupy that room the day before the murder." said Marian with embarrassment. 

"Oh, Joseph was here before the day of the murder. I see." said Fushichin as he pondered.  

"How about the other footage? Or record I call, the basketball record?” asked Fushichin.  

Mar "Ahh, yes, of course." said Marian. 

"She typed on the computer for a minute."

"Here it is." said Marian.  

She displayed dozens of timelines, each assigned to a different person.
