Chapter 40: Chapter 40 – Magiya Temple

After school, I transformed into my Magical Girl form, Arsy, and flew toward the Kansai Region with Blaze. I matched her flying speed as she couldn’t fly as fast as I could.

Yes, we were flying instead of teleporting. I also didn’t bother to ask because I loved this better as I could spend time with Blaze, just the two of us, in the air.

Even so, our flying speed was still faster than a plane as we could reduce wind pressure from the front with a barrier.

“Lalala~ a date with Magiya Blaze~” I hummed a song that I made on the spot happily.

However, the person I sang this song for didn’t appreciate it. She looked at me with a disgusted expression on her face.

“Can you please stop singing whatever it was?”

“Why?” I turned to her and asked. “I am in a happy mood now because we are on a date~ Just the two of us, flying toward Kyoto.”

“It’s not a date!” Blaze retorted with a raised voice. “We are going to Kyoto to investigate the strange balloon!”

“Then, after that, we are going on a date,” I added with a smile. “Isn’t that the plan?”

“It is not!”

“Eh~ You’re not fun.”

“Just stop, Arsy… I am not in the mood right now. Especially… A-After I know your relationship with Aru…”

Could it be?

I peered into her face and noticed a tint of red on her cheek. She tried to look away from me, but that was useless. I moved to the other side and looked straight into her eyes with a big grin. She was surprised and opened her mouth.

“Are you jealous, Blaze?” I leaned closer to her until our faces were only separated by 1cm. “Don’t worry. Aru and I are only friends. My heart belongs to you, Magiya Blaze.”

I took the strain of her hair that went past her shoulder and brought it close to my nose, smelling it.

“You smell so sweet.”

“W-What are you doing?!” Blaze flew away from me instantly, flustered. She put her hand in front of her mouth, trying to hide her embarrassment.

That’s the reaction I am hoping for. She’s so cute.

I wouldn’t be able to see this kind of reaction from Aru. That was why I loved Blaze. I loved her more after knowing her better. As they said, love was blind, and we came to love every single bit of a person when we knew them better.

“You know that your reaction only makes me want to tease you further, no? Are you trying to seduce me?” I asked, flying closer to her position.

Joking while flying like this was dangerous. Who knew if we would hit a bird or a plane if we didn’t pay attention? However, I still did it because I wanted to do it. The pleasure I got from teasing Blaze was worth the danger.

“I am not. Sigh, please just stop, Arsy. We are entering the Kansai Region now. I beg you not to tease me in front of the Magical Girls from Kansai. I still have some reputation to keep.” Blaze asked me seriously.

Without her telling me, I was planning to stop teasing her once we arrived at our destination. I didn’t want her to hate me, after all. I knew the limit.

Rather, there would be a ton of fun in that place. I would keep the final when I arrived home. I will eat her whole. I thought as I licked my lips.

“Somehow… I feel a chill shiver down my spine.” She hugged herself, caressing her arms that weren’t hidden by her sexy red dress and turning to me. “You are not planning something, right?”

“I am not~” I replied with a joking tone as I flew right beside him. “I am only thinking about how much fun I can have when I meet those Magical Girls from Kansai. Surely, they will be cute, right?”

“Don’t ev–“

“Aah~ I have an agreement with Commander Amamiya that I can tease any Magical Girls I want as long as I don’t cross the line. It’s a trouble~ Because I don’t have a line to cross~ If only there was a Magical Girl who doesn’t mind doing something with me, then I would be satisfied. Nya~”

I glanced at Blaze, and she had an annoyed expression. Because I didn’t gain any reaction, I repeated it once again.

“Aah~ I ha–“

Fufufu, that was easy. In the first place, I have no interest in the Magical Girls I don’t know, so… I take this as my win.

We flew for another 30 minutes before we reached Kyoto. As a city famous for its tourist attraction, a lot of foreigners could be seen walking here and there, taking photos of famous buildings.

Once I entered Kyoto, I noticed this city itself had 5 Teleportation Waypoints. It was a few less compared to Tokyo, but it was already a lot for a city of this size.

If the Magical Girls in Tokyo had the artificial Island Yamato as their base, then Kyoto had Magiya Temple as their base. It was a new building made by the government and Giants near Kyoto Imperial Palace.

The building was big, looking like a traditional Japanese Mansion. More than 50 Magical Girls in Kansai Region lived in this place, dressed in Yukata when they weren’t in their Magical Girl form.

Their Magical Girl clothes were still the standard frilly ones, but the girl who greeted us when we arrived in the Magiya Temple had a custom costume, like Blaze and me.

She wore a cute green traditional Japanese Yukata with frilly sleeves and a skirt. The waist area was tight, showing her body curve and massive breasts, even bigger than mine. I wasn’t jealous a bit, no. Totally not jealous at all because she had a naturally good body while Magic made mine.

Her chestnut hair was done in a side bun with sakura petal hair accessories. Once I saw her, my urge to play with her almost lost control. But with Magiya Blaze’s glare, I was able to push it back into my mind.

Yes, no cheating, Arsy. Blaze has promised you that she will play with you later. I told myself.

The Kyoto Magical Girl stood in front of the gate and looked at us as we descended from the sky.

“Welcome to Magiya Temple, Magiya Blaze. Also…” She looked at me, a bit confused, as she held her cheek. Her movement was graceful, like an older lady.

I loved playing around, and this time was no different. So I imitated a graceful smile as I took her hand, bringing it to my lips, and kissed it like a knight.

“The strongest independent Magical Girl, Arsy, at your service, madam.” I looked up at her and noticed her lips curled up into a bashful smile.

I could feel Blaze’s gaze piercing through my back, but I ignored it. More importantly…

Hey, you haven't answered her greeting yet! I sent a signal to Blaze with my eyes, but the girl in front of me spoke first.

“My, how polite. It’s nice to meet you, Arsy.” She brought her hand back and put them together in front of her stomach, right under her breasts. “Everyone calls me Magiya Celes.” She bowed her head 45 degrees gracefully, just like a noble woman.

I was a bit taken aback by her act. She’s good. I nodded to myself as I watched her raise her head again.

She then turned to Magiya Blaze and stepped to the side, gesturing to us with her hand.

“Well, why don’t you girls enter first? You must be tired from flying all the way from Tokyo because our Waypoints are malfunctioning. At least let me serve you tea.”

Ah, so that’s why we are flying. I didn’t think much of it, but now I know why we didn’t use the Waypoints. But, malfunctioning? There must be something fishy going on.

I liked it. Trouble. I could smell it brewing up close from here.

“Thank you for your hospitality.” Blaze replied to Celes with an authoritative tone. I looked at her, and she wore a serious expression on her face with a small smile. It was Magiya Blaze that I often saw on Television.

We then entered Magiya Temple, guided by Celes. Looking around, I noticed something unusual. It concentrated in one place for whatever reason. Blaze didn’t seem to notice it, and Celes acted naturally without putting up an act.

Still, nothing could escape my radar. I was confident in my Mana detection. I could detect Mana even better than Titan, a Giant.

As expected. I looked at the building in front of me as I passed through a thin layer of barrier, which probably was made to hide this building from normal civilians. The previous simple temple had turned into a castle-like building.

Once I entered the barrier, I could feel the previous reaction better, and it confirmed what I had in mind.  This will be fun.
