“I hate being watched by the seniors as we leave.”

 

Because Mio said this, the two of them would leave at different times and meet up in front of the square’s fountain.

 

Kazuki arrived first and after feeling a bit embarrassed, Mio happily trotted over.

 

Once she arrived, Mio pointed at Kazuki, “Listen carefully. Because you are doing this to make up to me, you will have to treat me like a princess…I’m looking forward to it!”

 

Mio was wearing a casual spring-style dress and cardigan, which floated around slightly in the gentle breeze. However, she was wearing heavy, mid-shin high boots; it gave off a strange feeling, but suited her personality -- a mixture of sweet and spicy.

 

A necklace glowed around her neck.

 

“That is feather-shaped.” Kazuki said the first thing that came to mind.

 

“Your eyes aren’t bad. This reminds me of Phenex! Your appearance is too plain! Tooo plain!! … But, your body is well-built, so perhaps it is better for your to dress simply. Yes. I should still praise you.”

 

“For guys, as long as the clothing is easy to move in, it doesn’t really matter.”

 

“Okay, let’s go! The quality of the shop that you bring a female to will decide your quality as a male!” Mio said happily.

 

Kazuki took a step forwards.

 

“Ahem!” Mio said, “Why are you walking in front of me? Didn’t you say that you would treat me as a princess, so escort me!”

 

“E, Escort?! What should I do?!” Kazuki asked worriedly.

 

“You scatter brain…first of all, let me hold your arm while we walk~” Mio said, quickly moving to Kazuki’s side.

Looking as though she was feeling extremely pleased, Mio swung her hand and took the first step.

After most of Tokyo was destroyed by the Illegal Magic Users, it was Alchemy that allowed not only for the economy to recover. However, this also slowed down reconstruction.

 

While Kazuki and Mio were walking down the streets, he became aware of some kind of gaze on them.

 

“What? Why are you looking around? Please escort me properly.” Mio looked at at Kazuki’s face.

 

“Ah, no -- nothing.” He replied.

 

The streets around them were still partially ruins -- most of the important buildings were rebuilt, but the outer streets weren’t. If they were to walk into an alley, public security would worsen.

 

There were often cases of Illegal Magic Users carrying out sneak attacks on Knights or Academy students. This is often referred to as Stigma Hunting.

 

In the recent years, the amount of Stigma Hunting had increased.

 

So, people had taken to hiding their Stigmas.

 

Mio, however, didn’t do this. She was wearing a dress with a revealing back, which didn’t go well with gloves, so her Stigma could be seen.

 

Because they were out on a date, Kazuki hadn’t brought his sword…he was beginning to think that it may have been a mistake.

“Do you often visit this store? This place should be located quite far from the Kenshi Family.”

 

After finishing eating lunch, Mio wiped her mouth with the provided napkin and asked.

 

“Well, because I enjoyed cooking, I would visit many shops when I had the pocket money, in order to increase my techniques.”

 

“Well, it really is delicious.”

 

Mio seemed very satisfied with the restaurant, which had a slightly playful atmosphere.

 

After they finished eating, Kazuki planned to pay the bill. But Mio pulled out her own wallet -- Kazuki stopped her with a smile; he had already planned to treat her.

 

Mio’s expression became uneasy, which made Kazuki also feel tense.

 

So, when they left the restaurant, Kazuki took the initiative and hugged her waist, while holding her other hand. This caused Mio to make a slightly surprised sound, before blushing deeply and then cooperatively leaned over against him.

 

Red hearts floated from her and into Kazuki’s ring.

 

After leaving the restaurant, the two of them began browsing items from nearby stalls and shops.

 

Just like he had hoped, Mio loves beautiful things, saying things like ‘this is cute’, ‘you should try this out’, etc. Kazuki began to also develop an interest in the items and tried out items -- ones suggested by Mio -- in front of a mirror.
