Cameron looked at Serena, who was sound asleep on her bed. His gaze then shifted to the fireplace, where the fire was beginning to dim and the air in the room was becoming cold, indicating that the firewood was running low. He moved his feet closer to the fireplace, picked up a few more logs, and tossed them in.

The wood was slowly burned by the fire. Cameron’s gaze was fixed on the flames, while his mind wandered far into his past. Where a female werewolf was madly in love with him. Camellia Vosca, Rollo’s servant assigned to serve him, was an omega.

Camellia unexpectedly fell in love with Cameron. Cameron believed at the time that he would not find his mate, so he accepted Camellia as his life partner and stopped playing with women.

Camellia Vosca, is stunning. He had never seen a more beautiful flower than her. The last time he saw Camellia was also the last time he copulated with her. Who knows what her plans were? She had used wolfbane flowers to make a poison concoction that made the werewolves drunk and out of control, even killing those who couldn’t stand the poison.

Cameron’s rampage killed several guardians and seriously injured many more. Despite the fact that he was found not guilty by the higher-ups. Cameron felt very guilty, even though the higher-ups found him not guilty. He eventually made the decision to leave the pack.

Camellia, on the other hand, just vanished. Even the guardians couldn’t find her until she reached the border of the Lunar Pack. She vanished without a trace.

“Damn, I’m reminded of that sh*tty past because of that kid!” Cameron hissed as he ruffled his hair.

Serena's moaning voice took Cameron by surprise. He turned his body around and looked at Serena who was staring at him with haggard eyes and a flushed face.

"It's cold!" she murmured softly.

Cameron dashed over to Serena. “Oh my, Selene, you have a fever!” Cameron exclaimed, clutching the woman’s brow.

“It-It’s so cold, Cam!” Serena rolled her body.

Cameron ran over to Serena. "Jeez, Selene, you've got a fever!" Cameron exclaimed while holding the woman's forehead.

"It-it’s so cold, Cam!" Serena rolled her body over.

Cameron bites his lip, his face looking very concerned. Then, Cameron ruffles his hair and he swiftly takes off his damp trousers and climbs onto the mattress.

He pushed aside the blanket covering Serena's body. The burn marks were visible again. Cameron grimaced at the sight of Serena's chest which was not pretty to look at. This woman, less beautiful than Camellia. Even her noble title had been consumed by endless suffering.

Why did the Goddess destine this defeated Princess to be her mate? Is it out of pity or punishment? Cameron really likes beautiful women. Serena was not his type. Her face was beautiful but her body made him grimace and curse the Moon Goddess' destiny that brought them together.

Cameron’s large body envelops Serena’s body in a thick, warm blanket. Only then did he notice Serena’s body was in disarray. Her hair is no longer silky like a royal princess’s, her body is also thin, her grey eyes highlight fatigue as well as deep sadness, and even her lips, which should be polished with lipstick, are so pale.

The woman on his lap was like an old maid living alone in a crowd. Her body was thin, and her hands were rougher than those of the other women he'd slept with.

Serena moved, she pressed her body against Cameron’s. Lifting her face and smelling the scent of the man’s body right on the neck.

Cameron’s body stiffened. He looked at Serena’s face that began to calm down and fall asleep on his neck. Cameron’s face reddened, his large, rough hands from working at his grandmother’s farm pressed Serena’s body against his.

A sensation he had long forgotten, the sensation of a woman’s breasts touching his chest.

Cameron groaned, his stiffening limbs touching the lower part of Serena’s stomach.

“Oh my God,” he moaned. His eyes started to blur, the thought of a rascal he had long abandoned, suddenly entered his mind.

Cameron’s breath hitched. His hand sassily brushed against Serena’s back. Stroking it from the nape of the neck to the woman’s waist.

Serena moaned, she furrowed her forehead, then returned to pressing her face into Cameron’s neck. She hooked her right leg between Cameron’s legs, while her free hand embraced Cameron’s body that was so warm and big with its tight muscles.

“Kill me, please!” Cameron cursed. He winced as he felt Serena’s breath on his neck, which made him even more aroused. Furthermore, the woman’s thighs touched the bottom of his already fully erect belly.

Cameron’s chest tightened, his head became heavy, and his lower body craved something wet and tight. He shifted his body back, and with his free hand, he lifted Serena’s head up until he could see the sleeping Serena’s face.

Serena’s chest rose and fell, purring softly, and her legs sometimes moved as she pressed her body against Cameron’s. It made Cameron’s arousal even more intense.

Cameron looked at Serena’s pale lips. Those lips had an appeal that was truly extraordinary. His mind began to blur, he wanted to feel the woman’s body. Wanted to feel how it was when he was in that woman’s body.

Serena’s lips slightly parted. Cameron was fairly certain the woman was fast asleep.

It would be dishonorable if he equated Serena with the prostitutes out there.

Serena was a royal princess. Even without a throne, the woman maintained a high level of honor. The honor of a noblewoman is first bestowed upon her husband. And, while Cameron was not a man of honor, he would not tarnish this honorable woman in her helpless state.

Cameron stepped off the bed after slowly releasing Serena’s embrace. He dashed out of the room to the bathroom, which was nearby.

“Oh, no!” Cameron cursed as he looked down at his stiffened body.

The desire to make love again passionate as before. His body was so hot that he felt his throat starting to dry. Then, with difficulty swallowing his saliva, his hands shivered as they touched the tense parts of his body.

“It’s not funny, Cam!” Cameron laughed sadly at what he was about to do. Never once had he used his hands to satisfy himself. Unfortunately, today he was going to do it. “Oh, no!” He again pulled his hand away from that part of his body.

Cameron raised his head and covered his face with both hands.

“Damn!” Cameron rubbed his face roughly many times. Then, he saw the bathtub filled with water. He smiled wretchedly, then got into the tub. The water from the tub overflowed and soaked the floor as Cameron’s body sank to his stomach.

Cameron sighs in relief. At least, his arousal has subsided a little and his tense body is slowly starting to relax. Cameron picks up water with both hands and washes his face while brushing his white hair back. He did this a few more times. His head began to slowly start to feel light.

Cameron sighed and crossed his outstretched legs over the tub, resting his arms on it. He raised his head, his gaze fixed on the uninteresting bathroom ceiling.

His mind drifted to a few hours ago. The time when he easily said he would accept Serena’s rejection and his words to Luke about the sacrifices that would surely happen if he met his partner. Regret filled the pit of his heart and mind.

That woman, she needed protection. Even if she was called back to nature, at least she died on a soft bed with a happy smile. But how could she do that? Her life never seemed to be safe, no matter where she was.

Tiredness slowly enveloped Cameron’s body. His eyes that were still awake looking at the ceiling of the bathroom began to wither and slowly close. Then, silence engulfed the room, leaving only the sound of raindrops hitting the window and surrounding objects.

“Again? You’re never a deterrent Cam.” A woman’s voice woke Cameron from his sleep. “I told you not to sleep in the bathtub while soaking!”

Cameron’s head still looked up as he saw Shia looking at him with an angry gaze.

“Owh, Shia! What are you doing here?” Cameron straightened up while rubbing his sore neck.

“Put on your clothes and meet me in the living room, I have something to talk about. It’s important!” Shia ordered. She walked out of Cameron’s presence, grumbling and slamming the door hard.

Cameron laughed at his sister-in-law's behavior. Then he sighed and got up. He walked out of the bathroom while covering her lower abdomen with a towel.

He returned to his room and found Serena still asleep on the bed. Hiz feet stepped closer to the woman. Then, he watched Serena’s face. A soft snoring sound came from the woman’s mouth.

Cameron dropped his butt next to Serena, he raised his hand and stroked the woman’s cheek with the back of his hand. Then, he held Serena’s forehead and neck.

[Thankfully, the fever has gone down!] Cameron thought with a smile.

After getting dressed, Cameron went straight to the living room where he saw Shia standing by the fireplace with a man in a dull black coat standing behind him.

“What did you want to talk about, Shia?” Cameron walked over to the two of them.

The man in the black coat turned around and made Cameron’s eyes widen. He couldn’t believe who he was dealing with now.

“Sir John?”

“Good morning, sir!” John looked at Cameron expressionlessly.
