“I’d like to go over the details now, Master.”

“Alright then, to start off, you will be training with me until you have completely mastered the Seven Heavens Sword. And as I said before, your training will only be when you enter the memories so you can train with time dilation. Is there anything else you want to discuss?”

“Yes Master there is, what will happen in the memories? Will the time within them just stop or will it continue to pass until I finish my training?”

“Ah I’m sorry Thomas, It seems like you misunderstood me, whenever me and you meet like this, there is no time dilation between the Transcendental path and the real world. So, how do you think we would get around that to make sure you train as much as possible?”

“We would train here in replacement of the memories?.....”

Sigh… Thomas, think through this one more time, when me and you meet anywhere that is not within the memories, there will be no time dilation. So, where is the only place we can meet?”

“........ In the memories!”

“Yes, good job on figuring it out. But it has been five minutes so I’m sending you out of the Transcendental path. And when you get back to your body, tell Lilly and Dominic something for me.”

“Yes Master, what should I tell them?”

After walking up to Thomas, Myeol Mang placed his hand just before Thomas’s forehead in a flicking position and looked directly into Thomas’s eyes.

“Beware of the Coveters.”

Smack!

Fsshhhhh!

After watching the grassy plains around him disintegrated and was replaced with his grandfather’s room, Thomas let out a sigh of relief once he realized that Lilly and Dominic were still in the room with him.

“So Thomas, what did ‘Myeol Mang’ have to say to you?” Dominic asked as he placed his hand on Thomas’s shoulder.

“Well for starters I’m going to be his disciple until I completely learn a sword technique called the Seven Heavens Sword from him. Oh, and he said he wanted me to pass a message on to you two.”

“A message? What was it?”

“He said. ‘Beware of the Coveters.’ What do you think that means?”

“It’s nothing you need to worry about for right now, Thomas. You should focus on learning the sword technique from ‘Myeol Mang’. Me and your mom will take care of the ‘Coveters’, so don’t worry.”

“Okay…. Well, now that that whole incident has happened. What were we originally going to do today?

“Well, since you’re going to be training with ‘Myeol Mang’ we might as well continue with what we had planned, right Lilly?”

“Yes, especially since his training is going to be accelerated by ‘Myeol Mang’. Thomas, sit down on the floor in the Foundations of Heaven and Earth position.”

“So you guys were going to help me gain internal energy faster, huh?” Thomas replied as he sat down on the floor.

“Yes we are, if you’re going to help us in removing the curse from our family’s bloodline, then you will need to reach the Realm of Greed at least. So, to accelerate the process even by a bit, we are going to help you gain as much internal energy as possible.”

“So I need to go up four realms just to be of use? How long do you think it will take for me to go up that many stages?”

“Well, it won’t take that long to get enough internal energy if we use the Transcendental path, but the realizations can prolong the entire process. Lilly, will you start helping Thomas with the Foundations of Heaven and Earth.”

“Yes sir.” Lilly replied as she walked up to Thomas and sat down behind him.

However, just as she placed her hands upon Thomas’s back.

“Didn’t I say that Thomas wouldn’t be taking your teachings until I was done with him?”

Crack!

Watching as the room around him suddenly cracked apart like a glass plate being dropped on a hardwood floor and was replaced with the same grassy plain he was in moments before, Thomas swiftly looked around him, searching for the only person who could cause this to happen.

“Why are you interfering again? You’re not even the real Myeol Mang so why do you have access to the Transcendental path? Why do you have more power over this place than we do?!” Lilly yelled as she readied a martial arts stance.

“You still don’t understand don’t you, Lilly? I am Myeol Mang. And you are trying to covet my pupil, so I will have to punish you for this.”

“Don't think that this will go like last time ‘Myeol Mang’, I won’t fall for your petty little trick this time!” Lilly responded as she dashed towards Myeol Mang.

Just as Lilly was about to reach Myeol Mang and strike him on the chest with her palm, she was suddenly pulled back by Dominic.

“Dad, why are you pulling me back, he’s interfering with the plan!”

“Because you cannot beat him alone, Lilly, now prepare the technique. We will fight him together.”

Noticing both Lilly and Dominic drop into a wide stance with their chests facing each other, Thomas began to back away from Myeol Mang to try and avoid the fight.

“Where are you going, my pupil? You need to watch this fight so you can start to gain experience in a fight.”

“I’ve already been in fights though, so I have a decent amount of experience.”

“Those were just petty skirmishes, this is a real fight. So pay close attention.” Myeol Mang said as a glowing white sword suddenly appeared in his hand.

Watching as Myeol Mang swiftly slid his right foot behind him and held his sword out in front of him, Lilly and Dominic both dashed towards Myeol Mang at the same time as they intertwined their movements in perfect harmony.

Twenty Four Palms of Harmony!

Standing in silence as he watched Lilly and Dominic’s palm techniques intertwine with one another as they continued to strike at Myeol Mang, Thomas began to take another step backwards.

Fsssshhh!

Fwipp!

Yet at the sight of Myeol Mang dodging every palm strike directed at him, Thomas took a step forward as what Myeol Mang had said was true.

‘This… is a martial arts fight. Every move made by my mom and Grandpa are in perfect harmony with each other, but they can’t hit Myeol Mang....”

However,

“Kuakkk!”

Myeol Mang suddenly dropped back several steps after being hit in the stomach by Dominic and Lilly’s final palm strikes.

Cough… It seems I underestimated you two, good job on landing a hit on me.”

“Spare us the praise, we’re in a fight damn it. Quit holding back and fight back already!” Dominic responded as both him and Lilly dropped into the Twenty Four Palms of Harmony stance once more.

“Fine, I will.” Myeol Mang responded in a cold tone as he took up the Seven Heavens Sword stance and dashed at Dominic and Lilly.

Noticing a sudden storm of wind begin to blow from behind Myeol Mang as he readied his technique, Lilly and Dominic dashed towards Myeol Mang and intertwined their palm strikes once more.

Yet when they came within arms reach of Myeol Mang.

“Seven Heavens Sword Second Form….. Absolute of Slashes!”

Shiiinnnggg!

“KUAKKK!” Dominic and Lilly coughed out as twelve red cuts appeared across their bodies, spilling blood upon the grass.

“The two of you are lucky that you’re my descendants, otherwise I would have aimed all twenty four slashes at your necks.” Myeol Mang said as he swung his sword through the air, sending the leftover blood on the glowing white sword towards the already bloodstained grass.

“Lilly….. Do you want…. Cough… To keep fighting or not?” Dominic asked while holding onto the center of his chest, where all twelve of the sword cuts aligned.

“I’m not going…. To fight him anymore…. Let Myeol Mang do what he wants….”

Hearing Lilly call him by his name without sarcasm for the first time, Myeol Mang walked up to Lilly and placed his hand over her head.

“You paid the price for disrespecting me, but now that you’ve acknowledged me as the real Myeol Mang I shall reward you.”

Suddenly feeling the pain that plagued her body vanish, Lilly looked down at her chest and noticed that the red cut marks that once covered her chest were gone and her clothes returned to the state they were before the fight.

“You… Healed me from my wounds? And fixed my clothes too?” Lilly asked as she looked back up at Myeol Mang.

“Yes I did. Now, once I heal Dominic here I’m going to kick you two out of the Transcendental path again. And this time follow my orders, do not try to teach Myeol Mang anything in terms of internal energy or martial arts. Otherwise I won’t be as forgiving as I am now.”

“Yes sir!” Lilly replied as she watched Myeol Mang walk over to Dominic and place his hand over Dominic’s head.

“You too Dominic, follow my orders and I won’t interfere with what you do. Am I understood?”

“Yes, Myeol Mang.” Dominic replied as he stood up off the ground.

“Goodbye, Dominic, Lilly. Hopefully we can meet on good terms next time, well, if there is a next time.”

Smack!

Fsshhhhh!

After sending Dominic and Lilly out of the Transcendental path, Myeol Mang turned around to face Thomas, but was surprised when he saw Thomas sitting down on the grass with his eyes closed.

“Thomas, why are you using the Foundations of Heaven and Earth right now?”

CRACK!

“Gahhhh!” Myeol Mang grunted out as a sudden blue light burst out of Thomas.
