Colin stepped into the room and the door sealed behind him. He felt his heart beat rapidly in his chest as he began to walk up the space shuttle’s corridor. His spacesuit provided a map of the shuttle's layout. He was approaching the dining hall and had no idea what lay behind the door. He stopped outside the door and slowly pressed the keypad. There was a quick woosh as the door opened.

Floating blood came through the door and hit against his visor. He stared in horror at the room before him. Bodies lay floating everywhere. Dismembered body parts floated in throughout the room. A woman with a disemboweled stomach floated towards him with her mouth agape. Her intestines trailed behind her. Colin watched this in terror as he stood frozen.

“Colin, come in,” Reja’s voice came through the intercom in his suit. Colin’s mouth was dry and incapable of responding.

“Colin are you there?” Reja asked.

“Yes I’m here,” he answered hoarsely.

“What’s going on? What do you see?”

“I'm in the dining hall and the crew is dead,” he said.

“What? How?”

“They seem to all be eviscerated,” Colin stated as he walked forward into the space. He maneuvered past the floating bodies which was a total of five. He walked cautiously around debris and headed towards the control deck. He felt something move by rapidly out of the corner of his eye. He instantly stopped and turned to look at the kitchen area. Nothing moved.

“Hello?” Colin called out. Silence.

He waited a moment then began to move forward again. There was rapid movement behind him and he turned as the creature landed on top of him. A hideous brown alien with three eyes in a sharp and jagged face glared down at him. There were sharp teeth protruding from a cavernous mouth. Its body was snake-like and had to be at least twenty feet. Colin screamed and elbowed the creature off him. The creature shrieked and came after him as Colin raced towards the control room.

The creature moved rapidly and knocked Colin’s legs out from under him. Colin fell to the ground breaking his visor. Oxygen began to escape from it. He screamed again and turned as he felt the creature’s body encircling his leg.

Colin tried to kick the creature off of him as he felt it tighten its grip. He spotted a knife close by and grabbed it. He stabbed at the creature’s body. He felt the knife go through smoothly. The creature screamed and retracted its body. Colin crawled away and got back up as the creature came towards him again.

It bumped him into a glass partition which shattered with the impact. The creature reared its head close to Colin and gave out a shriek. Colin grabbed out at a huge glass shard and stabbed the creature in the face. The creature screamed and whipped its tail out smacking Colin across the room. Colin flew into a dead body and hit the opposite wall. He could feel the oxygen leaving his helmet. He righted himself and opened the door to the control room as the creature raced toward him.

The door shut trapping the creature partway between both doors. The door retracted and the creature came all the way through. The creature moved slowly towards Colin. Black liquid dripped from where Colin had wounded it. With his oxygen depleting and the creature coming toward him, Colin moved to the control desk and opened the switch with the words marked Self-Destruct. The creature raced towards him as Colin pressed the button.
