I don't remember entering the tent, nor laying down on its stern bed. Honestly, everything after Tatsumi's abduction felt like a blur. One thing I knew for sure was Zero is not a good person.
I decided to get up from bed and make my way to the bathroom to clear my head. I turned on the sink and splashed water on my face hoping to wake up from a strangely long dream but only reality answered. I looked at myself in the mirror, I don't look like who I was this morning. My face was bruised and sore. Dried blood cemented on the nostrils of my nose and lip busted. I sighed and cleaned myself off.
I was getting too comfortable here, but I couldn't just go back home... could I? I plopped myself onto the bed and pulled out my phone 11:50PM, almost midnight. I went to my messages and got 20 missed calls and 130 missed texts from my mom. All worried about where I was. I tapped on the screen a generic response.
[I'm staying with Tatsumi tonight for a project. I'll be home tomorrow. <3] sent.
Almost instantly she responded.
[A call would've been nice. How's Tatsumi these days?]
I shivered.
[He's asleep right now, and I'm tired. I'll just call it a night.]
[Alright, Haru. I love you]
[I love you too]
I tossed my phone beside me and said, "I just want to go home."
I closed my eyes and thought. Thought about everything. Me, Tatsumi, Tsuki, The camp, my mom, my life, spirits, everything. These thoughts overwhelmed my brain and eventually put me to sleep.

I woke up with what felt like a hay bag over my head. It reeked of mildew. I've watched movies before, I was obviously kidnapped. My wristed were bounded together by a thick rope; so were my legs. I tried to wiggle my way out of these cuffs, but they were too tight, I could almost feel it cutting off my circulation. Whoever took me made sure I wasn't going anywhere.
"Hello?" I managed to call out from under the bag. My voice dry and hoarse. "Anyone there?"
No response. My body ached and the adrenaline that kept me from feeling the pain of Genki and I's fight long left. I felt the deep wound on my leg and my face throbbed from his punch.
Before I could close my eyes to try to get some rest in this foul bag, it quickly disappeared. Dragged from over my head and was now in the hands of some person.
I looked around, this room I was in was definitely a basement of some sort. Cracked brick walls, broken cement floors which a stray sprout emerged from. I couldn't get over the smell. It smells like blood and death.
"So, this is the Angel I've heard so much about," The person holding my bag said. "I thought you would've been a bit prettier, but beggars can't be choosers."
He dropped the bag to the floor and walked circles around my confined body.
"Who are you?" I asked. "What do you want with me?"
"That's not the right question to ask," He stopped in his tracks. "My role in this isn't important... You should be asking 'who am I?' "
He held his arms out and gestured around the dank basement. How did I not see them before.
Many different people were hidden in the shadows, all of their white eyes glued to me like I was some art piece. I felt my heart race.
"I don't think you understand how powerful YOU are." The guy spoke again. "And we want to help you understand."

"I don't need your help, just let me go." I struggled again to free myself, but the ropes wouldn't budge.
"I'm sorry," he said. "But we weren't asking."
I stopped my struggling.
"You WILL learn how to properly use Angel and you WILL do exactly as we say. Do I make myself clear?"
I didn't respond.
"You get the picture." He walked past me and tapped me on my shoulder. "Rest up, you have a busy day tomorrow."
The eyes watching me disappeared the ropes dropped to the floor, freeing me.
"Spirit Restriction down here so don't try any funny business." He said, leaving the basement and slamming what sounded like a bunker door behind him.
I managed to get up from the chair and explore the basement. The environment was filthy, not even suitable for a dog. The only light source was a faint, flickering, yellow light melded to the wall. I quickly noticed a dirty mattress in in the corner of the room and a few water bottles next to it.
"You can't be serious." I said making my way over to the mattress. A thin blanket was neatly folded on top of it. "Fuck these guys."

I jolted up from the bed. I didn't realize I fell asleep. The morning sunshine peered through the blinds and lit the room with a warm light. I sighed after realizing where I was. I grabbed my almost-dead phone and checked the time, 9:26AM.
Before I could get up, I heard someone call out from outside of the room "Haru, you up?"
"Yeah, come in." I said, staggering out of bed. My body ached and my face was still sore.
Kyu slowly entered with a wide smile. "How'd you sleep?"
"Alright, I guess."
"Sorry, again for keeping you here. You must be homesick."
I shrugged.
"After today's training you're free to do whatever," Kyu promised. "The sooner you're done, the sooner you can go."
He headed towards the door. "Meet Renga in the practice field behind his tent. You still know where that is, right?"
I nodded.
"Don't be so down. You'll be fine, I promise." He left without another word.
I stood there for a bit, before taking a leak in the bathroom and brushing my teeth with the complimentary toothbrush and toothpaste.
"Welp," I said trudging to the door. "I'd better head to the field..."
