I think Kei thought I was lying about what I felt during the encounter. He didn't say anything and i would catch him "checking" me the same way he did in his room; probably hoping he was mistaken before. His lack of response most likely meant he had no answers.
He led me to the complete opposite side of the camp. It was a lot of walking for what I thought was a small community but eventually we made it to where he was taking me. Obviously another tent.
This one was bigger than Renga's so I assumed whoever owned this one was more important.
"Before we go inside." Kei said without looking at me. "Don't engage in prolonged eye contact. Don't say anything, let me do the talking. And if he makes a request from you, 'no' isn't an option. It's 'yes' or 'okay.' Got it?"
This was a very strange set of rules to follow, but if what's inside this tent is anything like Angel I'd gladly agree to those rules.
"Okay."
Kei opened the tent and walked inside with me close behind. With no surprise, I seen that this was another pocket dimension.
Inside wasn't a living quarter though; It was more like a meeting room. A large table lie in the center of the room with eight chairs surrounding in; One on the top and bottom, Three on it's sides.
Four of the chairs were occupied, The room was too dimly lit to see who were in them. The room had a strange chill to it, it's air thick with tension and atmosphere appeared cloudy.
Kei led me to one of the side chairs, I sat and so did he. Now that we were close, I could see that the people in the chairs were Kyu, Tatsumi, and Renga. The other, however, was someone I didn't recognize so naturally I avoided looking at them, adhering to Kei's rules.
"Kyu told me your circumstances." The unknown person announced. Their voice too manly to be a girl but too soft to be an excessively strong man. My curiosity almost got the best of me but I continued to not look at the person.
"I'm glad you brought them here."
"The one next to me fought off a Possessed, yet there's no Spirit residing in him." Kei replied. "And Tatsumi, the one next to Renga, Managed to obtain Angel as a spirit."
"Interesting..." The person said. "It's about time Angel made her appearance, what a lucky Spirit to have. And this one has no Spirit?"
I felt the person's gaze fixate on me. This time I didn't look up not from obedience but from fear.
"That's right." Kei confirmed.
The person sat in silence then he finally spoke.
"We have detected two powerful Gifted running rampant near the South side of the city. Send Tatsumi and Haru to handle it."
What? He wanted us to go? I don't even have a spirit, and Tatsumi just got his. This is a suicide mission.
"Hold on" Kyu objected. "Why don't you reconsider, I can quickly handle the Gifted. Let Haru and Tatsumi train before we send them on a mission like that."
"No." The person replied bluntly. "I want Haru and Tatsumi on this mission."

The room fell silent.
"As you wish." Kyu replied.
"You're dismissed."
We were all forcefully removed from the room with the same gust of wind Renga used.
We got to our feet and Renga turned to leave. "I'll go back to sleep then, let me know if they survive."
"He's such a prick." Kei said.
"Sorry, guys." Kyu said. "I tried."
"It's fine," Tatsumi said. "I can handle it."
"Don't underestimate the power of the Gifted." Kei spoke to Tatsumi. "Who knows how long they've been practicing their powers and what powers they even have. You may have got Angel as your spirit but without any training she'll be useless to you."
Tatsumi reframed from speaking.
"I'll keep an eye on them." Kei told Kyu. "Make sure nothing happens to them."
"Thats not a good idea, if Zero finds out-"
"I dont care if he finds out." Kei interupted. "He's an asshole."
"He has his reasons, Kei." Kyu assured. "Let's trust his decisions."
"Tch, whatever." Kei turned and left.
Kyu sighed and faced me and Tatsumi. "Alright guys." He handed Tatsumi a ominous looking ball. "When you got the two Gifted, conscious or not, smash that orb. It'll bring you back here."
Tatsumi nodded.
"I have one tip for you before you go." He huddled us together and leaned real close. He smiled "Don't die."
Reality warped and the familiar feeling of nausea consumed us. It stopped when our location became comprehensible, we were on the South side.
