They say you should never compare yourself to another person because everyone is unique in their own way.

What about if you want to be compared to someone?

What if you're currently working to be positively acknowledged by someone near and dear to you?

Will the same words be applied to the situation or will you be granted a special exception?

Sometimes I believe I am chasing ghosts by pursuing this goal of mine, but if I give it up, then my past efforts will be all for naught.

I am not sure who I would be without it.

That very thing has become part of my identity, a crown that I wore contemptuously on top of my head.

With that being said, I am not sure what that makes me the queen of.

In my eyes, queens are powerful rulers, and they are always on top of things, so I embrace the crown and the unknown title.

I have to be the one on top, so I am viewed in the same light as he is.

All those accolades I have received on my current journey mean nothing because I am just focused on my end goal of it all.

The only thing I wish for while I speed down this highway of inferior to superior in his eyes is that I don't crash and burn.
