Minori Takeda's POV
It was thirty minutes before the commencement of class, and I stood outside the classroom along with Yuki, who seemed a bit sleepy. As usual, I suspect that he stays up late watching movies or something along those lines.
He leaned against the wall of the hallway and said, "Why did you call me out here?"
"I need to confirm something with you."
Yuki seemed unphased by my statement and motioned to me with his right hand to continue speaking.
"So how many grade points do you have currently?"
Without any hesitation, he answered, "110 points."
For some reason, I didn't believe him because he lied about leaving his test paper blank on the day I confronted him. Then he revealed to me that he got a 59, only for me to find out that he actually scored a 60.
Yuki must have picked up on my suspicion and sighed.
He pulled out his phone and then turned it towards me.
Name: Yuki Amaya
*Class: 1-4
Student ID: 11992899-4
Total Grade Points: 110 points
Oh, so he was telling the truth. I should show him my total points so we can build a sense of trust with each other.
As I was about to turn my phone screen to show him, he stopped me and said, "I am aware of your current total. It's 134 points."

He was right. Yuki seems to be someone very observant, but I doubt he is more capable than me. He probably just has a heavy case of inflated ego.
Now that I've observed him properly, he does look ordinary; nothing special about him. He even has an unassuming look on his face. It isn't that he is bored or expressionless; he just feels like your average teenager, but I can't shake that look in his eyes when we had that exchange on the roof.
He seemed more cold and aggressive. I can't get a proper read on him and it annoys me. How could he demand I follow his orders when I am not even sure if I can pin him down as a person?
"Oh right. I must have told you how many points I had before the addition of the new amount."
Yuki smiled and replied, "Yeah, you did. Your memory seems to be wavering."
"No it's not that. I am sure if I just glossed over the detail and didn't realize it until it was too late."
Yuki slipped his phone back into his pocket, "Is that all you wanted to know? You could have just messaged me and I would have cooperated with you. Anyway, we should probably head back into class. We don't want people to assume that we're dating, right? As you said before, it will be detrimental to your image."
I am not sure if that was sarcasm or not, but he is correct. I don't want any of those labels stuck to me."
He went into the classroom before me and left the door open.
All I could think about was, can I fully trust this person? Will he betray me before I potentially betray him if a situation looks murky?
Those are questions I have to ask myself.
