Miss Aiko informed us that we would be having a joint math session with class 1-3. Which is a surprise to everyone. This is the second joint class for the term. Is the board of directors hoping that us being around students they deem superior will help shed our skin of inferiority?
Ichiyo groaned and said, "Ugh, mathematics this early in the morning?"
For once, I wholeheartedly agree with him. Math is more of an afternoon class because you can have an even better nap in class. OK, fine, we can't sleep in class, but I am pretty sure after being drained from the taxing subject, our afterschool naps will hit a lot differently.
I got up from my seat and picked up my bag.
Seishiro approached me and said, "Hey, you want to walk to the other class with us?"
I've been invited to walk with them now. Is this blossoming into solid friendships?
"Sure, no problem."
As both of us exited the class, Tori, Arisu, and Kiyo were outside waiting for us.
Arisu said, "Wow, he actually agreed to do something with us again."
Kiyo laughed, "Well, it is safe to assume that Yuki is slowly becoming our friend."
I chuckled a bit, "It's something along those lines."
Tori pretended not to acknowledge me. I must say that she looks rather cute. Her hair was worn differently today. Usually it's down, but right now it's pulled back in a pony tail while letting some of her bangs cover bits of the forehead area.
All four of us began to walk to the room where they held joint classes. It was more of a large prefabricated classroom, which could seat 60 or more students.
Kiyo, Arisu, and Seishiro all walked together, while Tori slowed down to match my walking pace. This almost feels like a well-thought-out ploy in order to have us walk alone. Hmm, maybe I am overthinking it.
While we continued walking. In an attempt to make small talk, Tori asked me, "Yuki, are you good at math?"
I pondered about it for a few seconds and said, "Um, I believe I am slightly above average in it. Numbers and I aren't really the best of friends."
She giggled at that statement, "Well, I am not half bad, so if you ever need any assistance, don't be scared to ask."
I flashed a half smile and replied, "I'll keep that in mind for our next math quiz."
Just behind us, Ichiyo walked alongside Kai and said, "Bro Minori looked at me today for a duration of 5 seconds." That is an improvement from the 3 seconds last time. I feel like we're making progress."
Kai replied, "Um, yeah, sure, I believe so as well."
I feel you on that, buddy. Sometimes it hurts to shatter your friend's sweet delusions and show him that bitter reality, so you might as well roll with it and pray they snap out of it on their own.
Ichiyo excitedly laughed and asked, "Who do you have a crush on, Kai? Is it Maiya? Maybe it's Eiko? You can't say Minori because I already called dibs on her."
Maiya Murata isn't a bad person to have a crush on. She's pretty, quiet, and a bit shy with big breasts or what the people of our age call titties, boobies, knockers, betty boops, blubber buckets, blouse bunnies, cantaloupes, chesticles, coconuts, love melons, and if you are feeling a bit on the baker's side, there is love muffins. The list could go on even longer, but you guys get the point.

Ichiyo must have noticed me listening in and said, "Hey Yuki, do you have a crush?"
Tori side-eyed me as I thought about it.
"Um, I don't think so. I do find some of our female classmates attractive, but I never really mentally explored the idea of it."
Her eyes shifted straight forward, and it appeared that she was satisfied with my answer.
Phew. I was walking on thin ice there. I managed to avoid stepping on any cracks that could plunge me into the cold waters of female pettiness.
We were finally in the area of the prefab rooms. I wasn't sure which one was our room, but I noticed that some class 1-3 students were standing outside a door, so that only meant one thing. That's the correct spot.
As my classmates and I approached the door, the students looked a bit disgusted by the sight of us.
So that's what some of the year one classes think of us, huh?
They all shifted to the side and allowed us to enter. As we did, I must say that the prefab wasn't what I expected. The walls were white, and there were grey metal desks bolted to the floors. The room just felt so void of color. It almost felt like we were walking into white room torture.
I found myself a middle row seat and settled in. Tori sat about 2 seats down from me with Kiyo, Arisu, and Seishiro.
Ichiyo and Kai both sat in the back row. In an attempt not to be next to someone she doesn't know, Maiya was seated in the second to last row. Ryoko sat in the same row as well. Minori sat in the seat directly in front of me, and Eiko settled in next to Maiya.
Yujiro, on the other hand, sat closer to the class 1-3 students than any of us.
The bell rang, and students from class 1-3 poured in.
Reizo Mukai was the first to walk in. He observed us and turned his nose up. I'll take that as a sign that he didn't see us in the same league as him intellectually nor financially. After all, he is from a very wealthy and prominent family.
He was followed by a group of students, which included the male student with the face of a villain, Yuudai Hori, or what I would like to call his faction.
Class 1-3 is split in the middle about who should be the class leader. So due to that, two factions broke out.
The leader of that second faction is Kaya Harumi, and in her group I saw Asuka Itou.
Funny enough, she's the one who gave me the tit bit when we both traded delicate class info. There isn't complete unity in the class because of the constant power struggles.
All of this makes me wonder what the end result will be of our selecting a class leader.
