The word "court" is enough to frighten the toughest of people, and the same goes for our classmates.
"Just give them the wallet back, Yujiro. Nobody here will judge you, "said Ichiyo.
A couple more students from our class started to do the same.
Minori just kept quiet. I wonder why she isn't interjecting in this conversation, after all our class points are on the line.
So, once again, I was correct about the amount of time we spent here, and I took out my phone to check the time.
Hmm, the time is 11:35 am. Hopefully, this ends before 12pm. I don't want the lines in the food court to get too long now.
Ryoko, as if he had finally gathered some strength to say something, tried to tranquilize the growing situation. He also sees the potential point loss as something that can jeopardize his chance at being a leader if he lets something like this slip by without saying or doing anything.
"So I don't think we should single out Yujiro. Everyone would just empty their bags and pockets. If he did take it, that means he would have it on his person since he didn't leave the room, and from the looks of it, there aren't any suitable hiding places for it in this room. Seeing that the only things in this room are the desks, which have no compartments to place anything, and the white board, which is flat on the wall, nothing can be placed on top of it either. The same goes for the windows, seeing that there are no window ledges, and also, the windows seemed to be locked from opening without having a key, which means he couldn't toss it out the window either."
Mr. Madoka will be overseeing this. It's a fair, unbiased solution which gives both parties the benefit of the doubt and the same weight of suspicions instead of it falling on one person.
Reizo said, "Those are fair points you are making. So let's do it right class?"
The entire class 1-3 agreed to it since Kaya gave her stamp of approval as well.
They all seem pretty confident. Our class agreed to it as well.
Since Ryoko was the person to suggest the idea, he was the first to empty his pockets and bags.
One by one, we all opened our bags and emptied our pockets.
Maiya Murata didn't have it, and Kai Suzuki didn't have the item either. It was a negative for Ichiyo Hisoka. Seishiro clearly didn't have it along with Arisu, Tori, and Kiyo.
Minori was next to be searched. She didn't have it either.
Reizo, Yuudai, and Ryoko approached me and said, "Empty your pockets and your bag."
I guess this is going to turn into an old-fashioned shakedown. I haven’t experienced that in a while, but at least we will be making progress in this search and rescue mission for this apparent wallet-napping.
I complied with the instructions and opened my bag, then emptied all the pockets, which just had my cell phone and a gray camouflage pattern wallet.
Ryoko noticed the contents of my bag and said, "Yuki, there are barely any books in there with only one pencil and one pen. So that's how you approach school?"
I scratched the back of my head and laughed, "Yeah, basically..."
Reizo snickered, "Typical inferior student." as all three of them left to search for the students of class 1-3.
Ouch, that really hurt my feelings.
After some minutes of searching for everything, nothing turned up. Ryoko made sure to place all the bags within viewing distance so no potential funny business could happen.
Eiko said, "As I said before, we don't have it and Yujiro definitely doesn't."
Reizo seemingly became annoyed.
"This only means the entire class is working together to cover for each other. I had enough of this foolishness. Let's take it up in Student Court."
Minori stood up and said, "We still haven't searched everywhere as yet."
Yuudai Hori paused and said, "What do you mean?"
Minori pointed at her shirt and said, "All the males should unbutton their blazers and untuck their shirts. That's the last hiding spot the wallet can be."
Reizo tried to wave it off and said, "You're grasping at straws here because of your class's situation."
Minori pressed the matter, "If you refuse to do so, then we'll bring the matter into the same court and penalize your class for potential false accusations."
Ichigo cried out, "It's not false. My wallet really is missing!"
Minori then glared at Reizo, "Give the order, Reizo, and ensure that we clear all possibilities before we take the other route."
Hmm, an aggressive Minori is quite frightening.
Reizo exhaled deeply and said, "Ok, follow her instructions."
Both classes compiled with the instructions. A male and a female student from class 1-3 searched the class 1-4 students and vice versa.
One by one, each person did just that. The girls unbutton their blazers and the guys unbutton theirs as well, including untucking their shirts. While Kyoko gave the male students a pat down on their pockets, Eiko patted down the female students' skirt pockets.
Finally, they reached the Iseri brothers, who seemed very confident that they didn't have it either.
They searched them and they were clean as well.

There was silence.
Reizo replied, "There you have it."
Minori paused and said, "Not quite."
A look of confusion appeared on Reizo's face.
"What do you mean?"
Minori pointed and said, "Satoshi's shirt isn't completely untucked in the back. Ryoko approached him and pulled on his shirt.
*Clank*
A surprisingly cute pink wallet fell to the ground as both classes watched on.
Satoshi nervously said, "That it was a joke and we were going to give it back."
Minori took her seat and sighed, "You expect us to believe that?"
Reizo had an angry look on his face and said, "Your classmate could have easily planted it on Satoshi and made it look like it fell when he was fully untucked."
Ichiyo got up from his seat and said, "I ought to deck you in the face for trying to pull this one off."
Yujiro sat silently and looked on. It appeared that he was slightly relieved.
Minori exhaled, "Reizo, we can easily take the same route as you and attempt to penalize your class for this issue."
Reizo clenched his teeth and replied, "Our class had nothing to do with it. Satoshi acted on his own with that action, and I unknowingly assumed that it was your classmate's despicable actions, so I did what I thought was right in order to get back what belonged to my classmate."
Hmm, so that's what it is, huh?
I looked over to Asuka, who seemed thrilled at this result.
Mr. Madoka said, "Now that the matter is settled, I'll dismiss class."
Shortly after the bell rang,
Oh great, we finished just in time for lunch. I picked up my bag and walked out of the class by myself. A few moments later, I was stopped by Kyoko, who thanked me while showing me his phone.

Yuki Amaya: Kyoko tell everyone to empty their pockets and their bags while pointing out the lack of hiding places in the room. Include the windows, desks, and whiteboard in your observations.
He placed his phone back in his pocket and said, "Yuki, if you didn't send me this message, I would have been stumped on how to counter the situation."
I replied, "Sure, no problem. It was just that one rare idea I had even though it was flawed because I forgot about the possibility of the wallet being inside of the shirt, so you should thank Minori for covering that base, and it should benefit you as well. After all, you do want to be a class leader, so other people will start to see you as a more proactive individual in class. In the event that it becomes a topic soon, you'll have my vote."
Kyoko thanked me once again before leaving.
I continued on my way towards the food court when Minori approached me and flashed her phone.

Yuki Amaya: Class 1-3 will place all their suspicions on Yujiro, seeing that he was the only person in class during the break. So wait until Eiko defends him and she is easily shut down. After Ryoko adds his input, the flawed process is completed. You should attack when they get too comfortable by adding that the only thing left to do is untuck the shirts. The person who has the wallet should be Satoshi. Feel free to do whatever you see fit afterwards.
"It played out like you said it would."
"I guess."
Minori looked at me with curiosity and asked, "How did you know Satoshi was the one behind it?"
"When he came out of the classroom, he had part of his shirt unbuttoned. The one right above the belt. The only mistake he made was not wearing his blazer correctly to hide that fact."
Minori scowled at me and said, "Why didn't you do this yourself?"
I sighed and replied, "I am not a big fan of confrontation, and you get brownie points from the class by being the one who technically outsmarted Reizo, who clearly had this set up and let his classmate take the fall. So you should be smiling ear to ear."
"Yuki, just know that I am nobody's puppet."
I looked at her, "I never once implied that, but if that's what you feel like after this situation, then I'll take pride in being your marionettist."
After that exchange, the conversation was over, and I continued on my way to the food court.
