Chapter 12: Feelings

A shift of atmosphere happened in an instant as Shirogane thought something and then— with a grim on his face while his confidence suddenly drop, he sigh.

"Ishigami-kun don't hurt her... I will leave her to you." 

What he thought is something that happened yesterday. He saw Shinomiya's reaction towards Yu. 

'That kind of jealousy…'

He didn't feel that reaction from her whenever he is surrounded by girls in the past.

He might not be handsome as Yu but with his popularity as the president and a top scorer, many girls still have some affection for him.

'In the end, rumor is only a rumor.' 

He knows that kind of rumor is running around the academy about them going out but in the end, a rumor is only a rumor.

He didn't have any chance for her.

On the other hand, Fujiwara felt that he is being cast away. He doesn't know why she felt this but he didn't let this matter go on and move to the subject.

"Ishigami-kun, I will let you run naked if you hurt her,"

Fujiwara pointed her index finger at Yu.

"That's harsh!" 

Yu immediately retort. However, an idea pops out in his mind.

"But… what are the both of you talking about? You have been saying some kind of nonsense to me." 

Yu tilted his head with a confused expression.

Seeing his first-class act, they can't help but feel sorry for Shinomiya.

'He… he's dense…'

They thought at the same time.

Although Shirogane, felt sorry for Shinomiya, hope suddenly rise and his confidence in her immediately rose, up beyond his limit.

'Since Yu is dense, then I still have chances for her…'

With that silly thought, he got back to his normal self.

On Fujiwara's side, she didn't think too much of the situation but she is jealous that Yu and Shinomiya would feel the peak of their youth.

As a curious girl, Fujiwara wants to know what's the feeling of love. Both feel in love and being loved by her opposite gender.

And also as a curious girl, she might have some curiosity about her same gender but… *cough* let's move on.

About Yu's answers, most of them are not true like falsification of him, knowing who are those women who waits for him yesterday at the school gate, and knowing the meaning of what they talked about earlier, about leaving Shinomiya to him.

He can't say that they know them since he already said to Shinomiya that he doesn't know them and going into a relationship is something, currently, has not crossed his mind since he wanted to enjoy his second life more. 

He knows Shinomiya's feelings but for now, he will go to the flow until his heart falls on a woman.

Silence once again covers this room but like a tossed glass, It immediately breaks as another person enters the room.

"Oh, you're all here. Can I join too?" 

Seeing Shinomiya's bright smile, Fujiwara and Shirogane felt something wrong about it. 

'Maybe it's just my imagination.' 

They decided no longer to pry on that matter and just move on.

"Yes, here…" 

While Yu said that, he stared hard at Fujiwara. However, she pretends not to notice him and looks away while sighting the outside of the window.

She knows what his stare meant but as Shinomiya's friend, she wanted to support her.

In the end, he decided to be a gentleman. Standing, he makes a gesture like making a way for her to sit beside him. 

Her face turn red while she felt happy inside and shy outside, however, as a girl that comes from prestige family, she got back from her composure and thank Yu for his action but when their eyes accidentally met, they felt like the time stop.

Their gazes are very fiery and were about to do something.

On the other hand, Shirogane and Fujiwara felt like they ate dog food seeing their way of showing affection so they immediately coughed in unison, causing their fiery gazes to break. 

Shinomiya's face turns scarlet red as Yu look at the ceiling.
