Chapter 13: Bento

Shinomiya and Yu are sat together on the sofa in front of Shirogane and Fujiwara and start their lunch.

"Wow! what is this Kaichou? they all looked delicious." 

Fujiwara's eyes sparkled seeing Shirogane's bento.

"This just sausages and eggs that I design a bit…" 

"Can I eat this?" 

She pointed to an octopus-shaped sausage.

"You can." 

Hearing his response, Fujiwara immediately takes a bite.

"Oishi! are you the one who cooks this Kaichou?" 

"Well, yes." 

You can see how proud he is of his cooking when he responds to her. 

Unknown to the three, while showing his bento, Shirogane glanced at Shinomiya however, she didn't even look at him. 

With a dejected feeling, he continues to eat his food.

Fujiwara's next target is Shinomiya whose bento looks luxurious when she opens it. 

"Wow! Crab, tempura, there are so many foods in your bento, Kaguya-san. Are you sure you can finish these two bento boxes?" 

"If you want you can eat some." 

"Are you sure?" 

"Yes." 

Like a Saint, Shinomiya released a holy aura that only Fujiwara can see. She was about to pray but immediately disappear from that silly thought and take some of her food.

On the other hand, instead of a holy aura, Yu felt an ominous aura beside him.

He doesn't why she needed to let out that kind of aura but as her 'friend' he needed to broaden his mind and be positive.

Looking at her bento, he immediately have an idea of what he needed to do.

"Shinomiya-senpai, can I have too?" 

"Sure, if you want you can have half of it since this is too much for me." 

She still smiling but for Yu, it is some kind of threat to his life, however, since he knows what kind of person Shinomiya is, he didn't mind her ominous smile and just gets half of her bento. 

Well, this is free food. No one would reject free food as long as there is no poison. 

To continue eating, Yu thought to eat first his bought lunch food before Kaguya's bento.

In just a small time, he immediately finish a 4 slice sandwich filled with mayonnaise and some vegetables in it. Next, he ate Kaguya's bento.

'F*ck'

He can't help but curse inwardly because of how delicious her bento was. 

'Prestige family really puts up their money in a meaningful way.'

This is solely his opinion. 

Seeing Yu's bought lunch food, Shirogane thought that their present status is equal.

He knows that Yu comes from a wealthy family, who has a father that runs a company, and has a better life than him while Shirogane comes from, a currently, poor family. 

In the past, Shirogane's family is wealthy too and like Yu, his father runs a company however it got bankrupt and when his father was about to rebuild his company, he got scammed, causing their mother to leave them.

This might differ a bit from what Yu remember in his past life but still the same thing in the end.

However knowing that Yu is now living by himself, he can feel pity for him because, in a world where you need to stand up using your own foot, from his experience, a noob's life is hard.

Like in games, he needed to 'get good'. Try and try until you di— succeed. That is what he thought that Yu needed at this moment, however, if Yu can hear this, he might laugh hard which might get his stomach hurts.
