[Ruby's POV]

As she looked at my wings, I pulled them as close to my body as I could, and Ava grinned. "At least you have control over your wings, unlike the people in the fan fictions" I looked at her. "But this is not a fan fiction!" Ava still didn't seem to realize, that we were really here now.

She sighed and finally came calmed down, and her excitement was gone. "Whatever we do, we need to find some place to live in, which is a bit... better than just a cave" I nodded. "And some food" I added. Both of us listened to the distant sound of loud roars. "And I don't think we are really welcome here..."

I knew how the world of HTTYD looked like. Full of islands. The only way of transportation was flying or sailing, and we definitely had no access to a ship at the moment. Ava seemed to think of that too. "I guess there will be no other way" I said and got back up. We both walked out of the cave.

"That doesn't look good" From the other side of the mountain we could hear dragons scream and see the smoke of fire. "We better get off this island as fast as we can. Ava glanced at me, but wasn't sure what to do. "Do you want to burn? Get on!" I commanded her. Just a few seconds later, she was sitting on my back.

'I was still getting used to walking' I grumbled as I tried not to fall on my face again. "I think I need to make you a saddle once we're somewhere safe." I turned my head and looked at her. "Can you even do something like that?" She just shrugged. "Be careful!" Ava said.

I nearly walked straight down the cliff, completely unprepared. "I don't know if I can do this" I said. "I'm also not so sure if this is a good idea, but trying is better than getting eaten!" "What?" I turned my head and saw a giant white dragon approaching us. I didn't remember its name, but it looked like a worm with an oversized head.

"Jump!" Ava screamed. Not knowing what I was doing, I jumped down the cliff. Ava and I fell straight down, getting closer and closer to the water. "Your wings!" Ava screamed and brought me back to reality. Instinctively, I opened my wings. Air yanked my wings up, and I had to use quite a lot of force to keep them up. But after we slowed down, I started gliding.

Now finally I had time to address the most important issue. "You're pulling my ears!" "Sorry!" She let go of them, "But you don't exactly have a seatbelt on your back." I chuckled. After a few powerful flaps, we were close to the clouds. "Wow" Ava tried to touch the clouds with her hands.

"I just remembered this scene where Hiccup drops and Toothless caught him" Ava said. I felt her weight shifting to the left side. "No, we are not going to do that!" "Why? Would you let me hit the ground?" She asked. "No! Of course not! But at least make yourself a parachute first"

Ava clenched her stomach. "Maybe we should find something to eat first... and some warm clothing" She shivered. She woke up here with her crop top and black jean, which weren't made for flying on a dragon, for some reason. "Could you go a bit down please? I'm freezing up here" I slowed a bit down and glided to about 70 m above the surface of the water.

[half an hour later]

"There's nothing here except for ocean!" I complained. A few minutes ago, I also started to get hungry. "I thought there would be mo..." Ava stopped me. "You see that ship?" She pointed at a small dot in the distance. "Yeah..." I looked at it. "There are some holes in it and the sails are brunt down"

"You can see that from here?" Ava asked. I just nodded. "Let's hope there is nobody on there anymore." We came closer and closer to the ship, but I didn't seem like there was single a living soul on there. "Maybe whoever left this thing also left some food?"

As I tried to land on the deck of the ship, I crashed right through it, and we landed on the second deck. "Warn me next time!" She jumped off. It was a pretty big ship. "Thank god, there's no one here!" Ava sighted and pointed at the open metal cages. She walked into another room. 'Some of the locks are melted...'

Then suddenly a black figure walked out of the door right in front of me. I jumped back into a defensive position, but as the smell of the stranger reached my nostrils I relaxed again.  "Don't scare me! I might have attacked you!" Ava laughed, "Do you know how to fire a plasma blast?" "No..."

"Anyway... Somebody left clothes here. They're a bit too big, but they seem to be pretty robust." She said. "Looking like that you should be riding a night fury" I said. "Wait a second." She walked back into the room and came out a minute later, again wearing something different. It looked like a military uniform, but completely white.

"I guess being in a fictional world has advantages sometimes" I grinned. "Yeah... I don't know how these clothes have nearly exactly my size..."

"You would look pretty badass if you had a..." She pulled something out from her pocket and put it on her face. "A Mask!" She said. Pointing at the white mask, she was now wearing. "Was that also in there?" "No, I had that one in my pocket thanks to Corona" She said.

"Maybe we can... WOAH" As she walked back to my side she tripped over a plank and ripped the rusty nails out of the floor creating a small hole in the floor.

A strangely addicting smell came out of that hole. I could fell my teeth retract as a purple blast shot out of my mouth, making the hole bigger. Ava and I fell down to the next deck. "RUBY!" Ava screamed, angry as she tried to stop herself from sinking into the pile of fish. The entire third deck was filled to the brim with fish.

"I said warn me next time!" She looked at me. "Are you not eating?" The smell of the fish was really nice, but looking at them, I somehow was disgusted by the looks of them. "I don't know... they look fishy..." I pushed one of them away with my paw. "I think I can wait until we find something different..." I looked around, but Ava was gone. "Ava?"

"Here comes the plane!" She shoved a fish in my still open mouth. As It touched my tongue, my pupils nearly doubled in size and the next second I was diving head front into the pile of fish while Ava was laughing her butt off.

"Hey U-Boat!" I stuck my head out of the pile of fish I was eating. Ava pierced a fish with a stick and held it up. "Please?" She looked at me. I turned to the fish and tried to shoot at it, but the shot 100% missed and hit the wall of the ship. "Good shot cowgirl, but that sadly was not the target" she said sarcastically.

I shot once again and this time I didn't miss. As I saw the fish being hit, I immediately dove back down into my pile of fish. "That's a bit more than well done..." Ava said, but she ate the fish without complaining.
