[Ruby's POV]
After she finished her fish, Ava turned back to me. "Have you already eat... YOU ATE EVERYTHING?" I was lying in my back on the floor of the third deck. My stomach obviously increased in size. She stared at me. "Not even Toothless can eat that much!" She walked over to me and put a hand on my stomach. "I hope this balloon can fly!" she said.
"Can't we just sleep on this ship?" I asked her. I was absolutely not in the mood for another journey of indefinite length. "Well we could... but as I remember there is a hole in this ship..." Ava said. "Where?" She facepalmed herself and pointed at the hole I shot in the wood as I tried to fry her fish. With every small wave, water was coming inside.
"I think my full stomach makes me forget a few things..." Ava shook her had and hopped back on my back. After shooting a bigger hole for us to fit through, I jumped outside and started to gain height. "So... what kind of place are we even looking for?" I asked her. "Why not search for Berk?"
She leaned down to me. "First off, do you have any idea where Berk is? Second, I would just go for an uninhabited island with enough resources and if possible no hostile dragons" Up to this point I could still agree with her. "And third, I would try to stay as far away from the characters as possible" She said.
"Why?" "Well... you'd have to mate with Toothless..." She whispered in my ear. "Ok, as far away from Berk as possible it is" I said and Ava laughed while my cheeks turned red. 'Why do my scales have to be white!' I cursed at the god who gave me this body for making my blushing this obvious.
"There isn't a map in one of these many pockets of your new outfit?" I asked her. "No, just a knife, some sort of coal stick and paper." She said. "Maybe I could try drawing something..." she said, and just seconds later she was unresponsive to any of my word. I seriously thought of throwing her off my back to get her attention, but that would mean I'd have to catch her again, and I wasn't that confident with my flying skills yet as I just learned it about 8 hours ago.
[One hour later]
'Is that...' my eyes were already getting tired by only seeing water and not being able to talk to someone. But now finally I saw something promising. It was a small island with a giant mountain on it. On one side of the mountain there was a big hole, indicating some sort of big cave. I didn't mind if it wasn't good enough for building a house, but I just wanted to finally go to sleep.
I dove down and flew directly into the cave. It was about 200 meters long before it ended in a giant room. 'Wow... This mountain is hollow! Maybe one of those white dragons lived here before?' I still wasn't able to remember its name. I would just ask Ava later.
There were many ledges and platforms of stone inside the mountain. I decided for a medium one and landed there. "Ava, would you please…?" A snoring sound came from my back. "You were asleep this whole time!?"
I let the sleeping Ava roll down my wing. "Just this time..." I grumbled and lied down with her leaning against my body. "And don't you dare wake me up!" Then I fell asleep.
[An unknown amount of time later]
As I woke up, I didn't fell Ava's body pressing against mine. 'I need to thank her for not waking me up' I stretched myself as I stood up. 'On the other hand, where is she?'
I looked down off the edge and saw her sitting in a pile of wood. "What are you doing?" I jumped down to her. "Well, thanks to you, we don't need to build a house, but some furniture would be good" I grinned. "So we are staying here?"
"I don't see why not. There's a small river in here, back there is a small cave with some fish, there are enough holes to get outside and for light to come in... Heck, we could live the rest of our lives in here"
"Wait... Do you plan on becoming a shut in?" I asked her jokingly and she grinned. "Don't worry, I'll build that parachute the moment we made ourselves at home here" She said. I don't know why, but I was kind of excited right now. Maybe I enjoyed flying with her more than I though. "Well then let's start making ourselves comfortable in here" Ava said.
"That's going to be the heck of a lot work..." We both laughed.
