[Ruby's POV]

"What are we going to do? It would be way too dangerous to go there, but we can't let them be captured either!" Ava said thinking. "I could try to shoot them from above" I commented. "First, did you ever hit anything except for that boat with the fish in it, and second, we can NOT let them know there is another... night, day, light, snow, ice, yeti or whatever fury still existing!"

"But what can we do?" I asked her. Something in my mind told me to just go right down there and kill every human I saw, but I decided not to tell Ava that. "Do you have anything on you to fight with?" I asked her. "I only got a few explosives made out of a mixture of dragon gases, but that's it. Well except for the fire steel and my little knife"

"That won't help us! We need to come up with something!" We thought and thought while getting closer to the ships. "I hope all of them are on the deck fighting. Get me down there unnoticed!" Over the last days, she became more and more reckless, and I really didn't like where this was going.

I flew as close to the surface of the water as I could and exactly on the opposite side of where the fighting was going on. "Wait for me!" Ava jumped off my back and I flew as high up as I could again.

[3rd person]

Ava had to swim for about 100 meters, but she managed it pretty well. She used a hole in the wall of the ship, probably made by a dragon, and climbed inside. As she entered the ship, Ava could already smell the blood of countless wounded dragons. 'Shit' There was only one human on the deck with the captured dragons guarding them. Meanwhile, battle screams and angry commands could be heard from the people fighting just a few meters above her head.

'It just has to work' She pulled out one of the gas tubes inspired by Hiccup's sword. Ava waited for the guard to turn his back to her. She slowly crept closer until he was in reach. 'This is going to be ugly' The man was surely stronger than her, so she had to be fast. She jumped on his back and pressed one end of the gas tube on his nose. Just a few seconds before, she tied the fire steel to the tube.

Surprised by the sudden attack, the guard could not react quickly enough to stop himself from inhaling the gas. Ava pulled out her knife and used the fire steel to light the gas up. Bot of them were thrown backwards. 'Oh my fucking god!' Ava's white clothes were covered in blood. The viking was lying dead on the ground right before her feet, with his entire face missing and parts of his skull showing.

"I have to admit this was impressive" A rumblehorn mumbled as his mouth was shut close with a giant piece of metal. "Thank you, but I'll take the price another time" Ava said. All the dragons on the ship turned to her. "What...?" "Did I just imagine this...?" "What just happened?" And stuff like that the dragons asked themselves.

"This stuff is dragon proof" Ava said as she looked at the lock which the dragons obviously tried to open themselves as it had marks all over it. "This thing can't even be called a lock!" she grinned as she looked around the room to find something helpful.

"Sorry bud" She pulled the helmet off the dead viking's head as the curved horn looked very practical. 'I only have to... Huh?' She didn't use any kind of force, and the lock just fell off as she put the horn inside of it. 'Better this way' She opened the cell and walked inside. The rumblehorn hissed at her. "What do you want, human?" "Hey! Just a few seconds ago you were the one making fun of me" She said as she pulled the muzzle off him.

Right as it landed on the floor, the dragon walked closer to Ava and prepared to shoot her. "You can kill me, but I'd prefer if you'd help me open the other cages first" she said and pushed his head in the direction of the other cells. "Why are you helping us?" He asked. "Long story, no time, I can explain it later, but I don't want to fight with an alpha dragon" Ava said and walked over to the other cages opening the locks.

"DRAGON RIDERS!" Somebody screamed on the deck and the entire boat was shaken by a heavy blast and a hole was ripped into the ship, creating a gap leading to the outside world. "I'm going in there!" a female voice said, 'SHIT SHIT SHIT' Ava thought. Then she had an idea. "What are you waiting for? Get out of here!" she hissed at the dragons, their cells were now unlocked. She didn't have to tell them twice, and they flew out of the ship, making the female figure stumble backwards.

[Ruby's POV]

'Ava is still down there!' I looked at the hideous zippleback, the gronkle, the deadly nadder, the monstrous nightmare and the night fury flying around between the ships down there. Luckily I could hide between the clouds. 'Please just... something!' I waited for anything showing that she was still ok. 'At least Hiccup could help her. Even if it would bring us a lot of trouble, as long as she is safe!'

Then dragons stared to come out of the boat Ava swam to. "She did it!" The dragons were climbing higher and higher. I flew down to them. "Do you know a human girl wearing all white?" I asked a rumblehorn. He looked at me with his eyes widening, "Are you the alpha she was talking about!?" He asked. "Is she fine?" He didn't answer, but instead continued flying. "Forget that human! As an alpha, you have a nest to look over!"

'But I also have a friend to lose, you asshole!' I gave him a death stare. As I did, he shortly stopped flapping his wings before shivering, but he continued to fly away.

[3rd person]

"Was one of you already in here?" The female figure asked her companions as she saw the opened locks and empty cells. "No!" somebody screamed outside. "Don't lie to me Hiccup! There's one of your gas things down here!" The person who apparently was Astrid said. 'Shit!' Ava tried to slow down her breath. She was hiding in an empty cell behind a stack o f hey. 'You can't talk! You can't talk!' She said to herself over and over again.

The ship was thrown to the side once more as a dragon's body hit its side.

"Fuck" was the last thing Ava thought before a net launcher crashed down right on her and her Vision went black.
