Chapter 30: Restrained!

In a one-room small studio apartment, a young couple could be seen sleeping intimately. 

"Mm". The young man with brown hair and a sturdy build opens his eyes a little groggily and the first thing he saw was the blond hair in front of him.

An immediate smile formed on his face as he saw her lover sleeping comfortably in his embrace.

Kissing her head gently, he got out of the bed without disturbing her. 

But eventually, the blond-haired girl woke up and as the boy got out of the futon, the girl grabbed him for a bear hug from behind.

" Morning". Snuggling in his neck with her legs crossed on his torso Sayo greeted Kunimi.

(A/N: Caught you off guard right? ;)

"Morning Sayo. I am gonna prepare breakfast. You can have another short nap it's only half-past 5." Kunimi said in a warm tone as he held her arm wrapped around him.

"You sure? I ca-can also help you know". She hesitated a little as she sucks real bad in cooking and was a daily customer of a convenience store.

" We both very well know, you are weak in the morning. So don't push, and have some sleep. In that way I will feel a little less guilty for tiring you out last night". Sayo blushed instantly as she heard Kunimi and in a meek tone just hummed in return before she returned inside the covers.

After an hour both love birds were sharing the foldable table at the place where the futon was before. Kunimi wasn't an expert but he knew how to make decent breakfast at least.

"It's yum~yum". Sayo chimed upon biting the sandwich. 

" It's not something special tho". Kunimi said as he sipped the coffee he made just some seconds ago.

"For me everything you make is special". With a bright smile, Sayo said and because of the little blush Kunimi showed for a brief time, she felt her morning getting better than ever.

"So what happened yesterday? During the part-time?" Sayo asked as she also held her coffee mug.

"Nothing special. As expected 'she' came in disguise and he was oblivious about it." 

"Wow. It's surprising how much Tsu chan is persistent and obsessive even it's been so long she is in touch with Kazuya kun". Sayo giggled as she felt Tsubaki's behavior was kinda romantic and cute. 

" I don't know the deal of Tsubaki san. She went too far already to be with Kazuya. If it not about her past I won't have helped her for this long". Kunimi sighed.

"Then why isn't she telling Kazuya kun already about it?" Sayo tilted her head.

"It's up to them how they convey their past and lead their future. But I just hope...*sigh* Kazuya doesn't break down again".

It was 8 in the morning when I and Tsubaki neared school hand in hand. Our school was one station away from home so we took the early train together. I was surprised that Tsubaki chose to travel by train despite having a car, however, I also liked early morning empty trains, so I wholeheartedly appreciated her choice.

As we walked, obviously the other students who passed by us or those who were walking at our pace, stared at us now and then.

It would be a lie to say that I wasnt bothered by it but whining like a cry baby would bring nothing. If I want to date such an amazing and kind person then I have to feel some of the weird gazes at least.

Suddenly in the peaceful silence, I heard sweet giggles of Tsubaki.

" What happened? " I asked with a smile as looking at her happy smile always feels refreshing and makes me want to protect her.

"I am just so happy, that I couldn't help. You voluntarily offered walking side by side today". Our hands were intervened but not like lovers do as I knew my hands become sweaty and all real soon. Seeing her being elated only with normal handholds enticed me to do something more...but for now I held back. We were in public after all.

" Well I can't run away all the time just because of others, right? " Her face went more brimming as she smiled while nodding in affirmation.

"Please maintain that thought process. I also don't want you to mind others. Since I am with you, you only have to watch out for me". Okay, this was something I didn't expect her to say but it wasn't like I hated what she said.

" Ah, Kazu kun. What about after school?" Our school building appeared to our view when she asked.

"Umm I have practice after school but I will cut short, cause of tutoring," I said as I would only get an hour after school before I have to rush cafè. It was good that I had a partner in crime who would also run along with me.

"You are neglecting baseball for teaching your cousin. I am impressed. It seems you are quite serious about this right?" I nodded with a smile. It was no denying that I love playing baseball, however this job and the thing I was doing this part-time was more important than baseball at the moment.

"It's for the future after all". She looked toward me with a bright smile, with her blue eyes shining in the fading sunlight. Her presence fills me inside with warmth and brightens my everyday.....

.....until darkness came to bite me.

I opened my eyes slowly feeling a little dizzy because of the previous pain I felt before I lost my consciousness.

The first thing I saw was darkness all around me. I tried to move my body but felt my movements restrained. 

'Shit!' I groaned in pain as I tried to move. It seemed my body was tied with ropes all over.

I was only able to move my face a bit.

" Who are you guys and what do you want from me?" I asked as I knew a bunch of people was standing some distance apart from me. They didnt talk for a while but suddenly the voice of a boy no less age than mine spoke in a loud tone enough to resound in the whole room.

"Simple. Just leave Tsubaki sama alone."
