Chapter 31: Deduction!

"What if I say no?" I asked firmly while checking my surrounding. Hearing the way he regarded Tsubaki, it was certain that my kidnapper belonged to one of her fan clubs.

I ran my eyes in the whole room and except for the narrow slit line coming from the door underneath, no other sign of illumination was there.

Except for the murmurs and faint ragged breathing I heard nothing else from my surroundings. It seemed that the boy who spoke before discussed before he said something again.

'Pretty unprepared huh'.

" We will beat the shit out of you before you completely forget Tsubaki sama's existence from your life." The voice never cracked in between, which surprised me genuinely. Generally, when you are voicing someone else's words, there should be some hesitation, but it seemed the spokesperson was too much agitated to falter.

"Hoh, so I have to forget Kayo to remain in one piece right?". I said in a sarcastic tone, emphasizing a particular word.

And as expected, it triggered...

" DON'T YOU DARE CALL HER BY FIRST NAME". Someone rashly grabbed my jaw and from the hoarse voice, he wasn't the same person who spoke before.

I scanned his hand and found something which he might not want to show me...

He let go of me with a harsh brush off, before standing back.

"I guess you won't understand the easy way". I smirked. I knew I was on high disadvantageous position and could be admitted to the hospital if I don't play smart here.

" Hmm...then aren't you guys running out of time?" I said while resting my head back on the wall.

"What do you mean. We have got tons of hours to spare. You don't have to worry about it so just lay down and accept your punishment for the sin you committed". I chuckled. It wasn't for mockery but true amusement.

" Seriously you guys...anyway the thing I mean is...in merely half an hour someone will come inside this room and naturally your 'act' will be discovered, right?" No one spoke a long minute before a third person spoke.

"You can tell? How?" And this time it was a girl.

'Tsubaki's fan regardless gender huh '.

"Isn't it simple? From what I saw, it is 2.30 in the noon which means I am merely dragged here half an hour ago so, it isn't hard to tell that I am still inside the school premises. And that sunlight is telling me that it isn't night yet so yeah, only half an hour. Second, I am sitting on something soft with a wall pressed on my back. If you calm your mind then you can also smell it. The peculiar smell of rubber came from the interlockable mats present under my butt. So studying in the same school for two years, I guess I know every corner of it right? Therefore, I don't have to even guess that I am in equipment storage. And in half an hour baseball practices will start so once again.....I suggest you start quickly or you won't get the chance~" I concluded. 

No one spoke for a long time only gasps resounded. They never questioned how I got to see the time, or they would have cursed that boy who grabbed my jaw and involuntarily flaunted his digital wristwatch.

My deductions were enough to scare them off, but for the final blow, I used the last weapon.

"Ah, it was the seventh unanswered call. You guys didn't even take my phone from me, so basically this plan was formulated after seeing us holding hands in the morning, after all, huh. Anyway, until now Tsubaki must be on the run and it won't take her long to find me. So the choice is yours now, whether you hit or run~". I made my voice as smuggish I could.

" SH-SHUT UP. You are speaking so much". And *bam* my face was hit around my nose. My head strikes the wall. I felt hot liquid dripping down my face, probably from my nose. I felt pain, obviously but I have to endure it.

And as I expected it didn't take her long. I heard the doorknob twisting restlessly before I lost consciousness.

"Mm". Breaking my slumber, I slowly opened my eyes. I felt my body light and energetic because of the plentiful amount of sleep I got.

The first thing I saw was a white ceiling. 

'WTF? I am not getting reincarnated right?' I turned my head and my worries melted away in an instant. Tsubaki was sleeping soundly with her head resting on the bed. Her face was stained with tear marks. Her cute nose was red due to continuous sniffing. However, her beauty was still breathtaking.

Before I know my hand automatically landed on her glossy hair to pat her.

However, on my sudden touch, she suddenly woke up and looked toward me with a shocked expression.

Our eyes met in instant before beads as tears started forming in her eyes.

" Ka-Kazu kun..." Tears slid down her face no stop when I felt her breathe was probably choked, so I spoke after taking her hand in mine.

"Tsubaki calm down. You are choking yourself. I am fine see. I am sorry you had a hard time because of me." I place my hand on her cheek and started caressing it steadily. She leaned her face toward it and started weeping loudly this time.

After some time, I pulled Tsubaki on the bed as she calmed down a little. 

Our bodies were facing each other with my arms embracing the fragile girl. 

Tsubaki's hands were pressed against my chest as she sniffed now and then.

"Are you okay now?" She nodded while rubbing her face, giving me slight tickles.

"Shall we go home?" I asked on which she tightened her grip on my shirt.

"Don't want to..." Very low whisper reached me.

"You don't want to go home or you want to stay like this?" I asked with a smile.

"Second one.." She brought herself closer, almost disappearing in me.

"But I want to lay down with you on our bed you know. I can't smell you while we are in this room". Since I saw the hi-tech machine beside the bed, I knew I was in a hospital.

Well, it was exaggerating but knowing Tsubaki's personality, I could somehow expect this.

" B-but you are not fine enough now." Her voice was full of hesitation which made it clear that she also want the same as me.

"I am fine Tsubaki. It's just a minor injury. I get injured more than this while playing. And, if my condition gets worse at home then I think you will nurse me right?" I asked voice filled with hopefulness.

She nodded immediately which looked so cute that I ended up tightening my embrace around her.

"Kyaa!" She yelped but didn't complain.

Suddenly something came into my mind which left my eyes hanging open in shock.

Due to the chaos of the events happening since afternoon, I totally forgot about it.

'My luck is really bad with part-time.' I sighed and after keeping the worries aside, I snuggled back in Tsubaki.
