Chapter 46: Movie date!

" Today is our home date Kazu kun. So no interference please~" Tsubaki took my phone which had a manga on display. It was good that she didn't look at it before switching it off and keeping it on the table. 

Today was the weekend so I was lazing around on the bed when she came in front of me out of nowhere.

After breakfast, Tsubaki had to do the laundry so I walked back to the bedroom. I was planning to help her out somehow in the chores today, but the bed looked so inviting that I ended up like an otaku again. 

I glanced at the time and got surprised instantly.

"It's already noon!" Well, I didn't have anything to do but still dipping into mobile nearly in the morning and realizing only after 4 hours was unexpected.

"Yup! I have started preparing lunch but after that, I want you by my side. "

"O...kay. Do you have any plans today? " I asked as she made a warm smile before replying.

"Yeah. Today is a movie date. Yay~ I am so happy." She chimed before leaving the room. I also got out of bed and while stretching in front of the mirror I realized something.

"My hairs have grown. Should I trim it down a little..?"

We ate lunch in a peaceful atmosphere. Today Tsubaki prepared pomfret for the main dish which I loved every single bite. I seriously have started to believe that she could make something normal. Her dishes were always so out of the league that I end up eating more than my fill.

"I will grow some layers like this." I plopped down on the couch while rubbing my belly. I was so full in my stomach as well mind, that I felt the world ending wouldn't be too much regrettable. 

"Don't worry Kazu kun. Even you become chubby, I would love you as much as I do now". Tsubaki sat beside me with a glass of lemon water in hand. She usually drinks something acidic to detox her system. I never tried as I felt it would ruin the whole delicious memory of the food I have eaten.

" Even if you say that I never will plan on increasing my size. Baseball will become a hassle to handle with a tummy hanging here and there." I scoffed as even if I don't go out of my way to do something for my fitness, it doesn't mean I don't care about it.

"So what are we going to watch?" I asked Tsubaki as I got comfortable on the couch. 

"It's a horror-thriller. I am a real fan of this genre and this particular movie was in a recommendation for so long. Wait I will grab some drinks so we don't have to get up in the middle." Tsubaki with an exciting look got and floated toward the kitchen. My previously laid-back expression was now stiffened a bit. I was not so much of a fan of horror movies for some reason. 

'Hold it Kazu. You can't show your pathetic side to Tsubaki anymore than you already have. Slapping my cheeks hard, I threw useless thoughts and prepared myself.

"So shall we start?" I didn't know whether it was my trauma taking over making my mind cloudy, but I seriously saw a devilish grin on her face.

Nevertheless, I nodded and got sunk deep into the couch. 

'O great Kami sama, please bestow this lowly one some courage for today'.

"Hmm!" I heard the muffled groan of Kazu kun as he clenched his fist and jerked in a fret. For the past half hour, I was having my time. Watching my dear Kazu kun so vulnerable but still acting tough was a treat to the eyes themselves. It was a lie about my liking for movies because I knew what Kazu kun would react on most.

'How evil I am!.' Even realizing I couldn't control my grin. I specifically chose one of the startling movies for today. The fear of Kazu kun toward horror movies was still unknown to me from his point kf view so I was enjoying every bit of it.

"Aaah! Hahaha...how unrealistic.." 

'C..c...cuteeeeee!!' The way he yelped just now and converted it into a fake laugh was too much of a treat for me. 

'Kyaaah!! No, I can't handle it! Why are you so freakin cute? And what's this adorable tug on my sleeve? You know showing your cute vulnerable side might trigger my limits and I might jump on you. Hehe~ Kazu kun, this onee san will handle everything for you'. Without realizing I already drifted into my own fantasy land where I was doing this and that with my Kazu kun. It was fortunate that Kazu kun's eyes were focused on the screen or he might have seen my predatory gaze upon him.

The movie finally ended after a long, well not so long, three hours. I was scared to shit the whole time. Naturally, I wasnt able to hold it even for an hour, and as the movie neared the end, my hands were wrapped around Tsubaki as I held her tightly. It was ironic that even though I never liked horror movies, my eyes never missed a single scene and I felt myself glued to the screen all this time.

"There there. It's all good now". Tsubaki was pampering me as I hid my face on her shoulder to not let her see my none existing tears of shame.

" It must be hard for you". For some reason, I felt that rather than consoling me, Tsubaki was enjoying the moment more. 

"Sorry for being so weak-hearted. I wanted to show you my strong side and pamper you when you get scared but now...hah." I sighed as our roles in various things have already switched. 

'Well, it's more like she is handling both of our roles all by herself.'

"Kazu kun." Tsubaki's sweet voice reached me with a tinge of seriousness blended with it. I lifted my head and instantly got met with her deep blue eyes. It was hard to keep being composed while facing her this close. 

"Don't make yourself fall short like this. In my view, you are the bravest and most reliable person I have ever known. So if you are doubting yourself that means you are doubting my judgment too. Am I that much blockhead?" What started with a serene expression ended with puppy eyes. I got startled upon seeing her so sudden change in expression.

"No. Of course not. Ah..stop your sudden attack or I might..."

"What do you might?" She neared my face with her lips pouting like a child. I felt my blood rushing when I held shoulder and pinned her down on the couch.

"Ah!"

I lowered my upper body which pressed against her lightly and neared my face to hers. Our breath was interacting with each other, with my eyes continuously staring down at her. If it was a month ago I might have fainted being in this kind of position with her.

"I know you were grinning the whole time when I was screaming in fear. You think I don't know, what little minx you are huh?" She averted her gaze as a child caught in the act. I smirked and brought my face near her cute little ear. I blew faintly which made her body shiver a little, before whispering...

"Don't tease my patience Tsubaki or this date might end up in a very messy way~". Biting her ear, I licked that spot to soothe her pain. After that, I instantly got up and dashed back toward the bedroom without a single intention of turning around.
