Chapter 154 - The meeting went well overall? (1)
Inside of the private room.
Su Han, sitting in front of the dinner table, maintained his long face the entire time along with a shred of regret in his eyes.
Up until this point, he still hasn’t quite figured out how he let that woman’s look tricked him into staying for dinner.
He didn’t want to have dinner with this man at all, okay?!
As much as Su Han had a long face on him, Lu Shao, on the other hand, seemed quite happy. The corners of his lips, which were in the nonchalant state year-long, were curving upward for a change.
Looking at Su Han, there seemed to be sarcasm in Lu Shao’s eyes.
What was going on between the two of them even affected Su Ran, who usually never picked these things up.
Looking at the father and son who looked like clones of each other staring at each other the entire time, Su Ran sweated and started contemplating whether tempted by the yummy food and agreeing to stay for dinner was a mistake.
Afterall, there were just the three of them at the dinner table. With the two of them staring at each other like that, she felt awkward to eat by herself.
Noticing that Su Ran was spacing out, Lu Shao frowned slightly and asked with a hint of nervousness in his eyes, “Do you not like the food here?”
Recollecting herself, Su Ran quickly shook her head and said, “Oh, no. It’s good.”
Speaking of, this Mr. Lu was truly a very attentive one.
Su Ran had mentioned in WeChat previously that Su Han enjoyed shrimp but not other kind of shellfish. Sure enough, there were no clams or the like on the entire table but there were a few shrimp dishes.
Must not be easy to have a western food restaurant added a salt and pepper shrimp, a boiled shrimp, and a hot and numbing shrimp dishes. That being said, they did look pretty authentic.
If the atmosphere wasn’t so awkward, Su Ran had wanted to start a long time ago.
Now that the one who was picking up the bill had already spoken, Su Ran decided against keeping on waiting.
Turning, she saw her son still staring at the table full of food like they were his biggest enemies, she almost wanted to reach out her hand to pat him over his head.
Nevertheless, in the next second, considering that the two of them were not alone and that she should be careful of his self-esteem, she finally stopped herself from doing so.

Instead, she waved her hand in front of Su Han.
“Hurry up and eat. You still have to go home to work on your homework.” Su Ran reminded him.
Nobody knew how what Su Ran had said was able to alleviate the “uncooperative” attitude from Su Han but, after hearing her words, most of the unpleasantness inside of him was gone.
“Okay, let’s go home after we have eaten.”
Go back to their own home, where it had nothing whatsoever to do with this passerby sitting in front of them.
Having said that, Su Han gave Lu Shao a instigating look before he looked away and pretended that this man, who was seriously affecting the air quality right now, did not exist.
Looking at the 4 ~ 5 dishes of shrimp in front of him, he finally reached out to the plate of hot and numbing shrimp and brought the entire plate to in front of him. Donning the gloves, he started peeling them.
Seeing that, Su Ran’s eyes lit up.
“Wait, son, let me first roll up your sleeves.” Having said that, Su Han cooperatively reached his hand over. Su Ran smiled and rolled up his sleeves carefully.
Su Ran loved nothing more than watching her handsome boy peeled shrimp.
Granted, the most important reason wasn’t that Su Han was particularly handsome when he was peeling shrimp, but that she would not need to do so herself.
In Su Ran’s own words, one person could easily peel for both of them and they would only need to use one pair of gloves instead of two. They were even being environmentally conscientious.
Su Han didn’t care about the fallacy in Su Ran’s logic; he was already used to it.
The fact that he was already used to that could be seen by how skillful he was in peeling shrimp.
With the shells tossed to one side and the meat placed back into the plate, it didn’t take long before the entire plate in front of Su Han had been completely replaced with shrimp meat.
Hot and numbing, they look particularly appetizing.
“Mom, have some shrimp.” Having said that, Su Han placed the plate in between himself and Su Ran.
Just like always, one of them did the peeling, two of them did the eating.
As for the one sitting across from them. Ah well, he’d just pretend that he was a stranger who happened to be sharing a table with them.
