Chapter 204 - Su Han gave Lu Shao a stare, pursed his lips, and was deep in thought. (3)

Su Ran and Su Han looked at the empty place over and over again and finally walked out and closed the door behind them reluctantly when the sun began to set.

Su Han: It was the woman who refused to leave; it wasn’t him.

Stepping out of the little district, Su Ran and Su Han saw a familiar silhouette.

“Mr. Lu… uh, Lu Shao?” Su Ran was a little surprised when she saw the man getting out of his car.

“What a coincidence to run into you here.” Su Ran walked over to him with her son, who had unwillingness written all over the place. She smiled and greeted Lu Shao politely.

“Lu Shao?”

Without hearing a response, Su Ran looked up and saw what looked like a dazed look on Lu Shao?

“Uh, pardon me.

“So pretty.”

“Huh?”

“You look very pretty today,” said Lu Shao as he looked at the woman in front of him, not hiding the appreciation in his eyes at all.

Now it was Su Ran’s turn to be speechless.

“Oh, haha.” Su Ran chuckled dryly and changed the subject unnaturally. “Do you have some business to tend to in the area?”

“No.”

Su Ran: You are really not helping to keep this conversation going, are you?

As she grumbled to herself, she saw the corners of Lu Shao’s lips curved upward as he asked, “Are you here to check out the apartment?”

“Yeah.”

“How is it?”

“Not bad at all.” Su Ran’s look changed when they started talking about the apartment.

“Good then.” Lu Shao paused a little, and then asked. “Are you heading home now.”

“Yeah.”

“Get in. I’ll give you a ride.” Lu Shao finally gave Su Han a frugal look and added, “I will give you both a ride back.”

“Oh no, you don’t need to.”

Su Ran declined him instinctively. Lo and behold, it was Su Han who agreed to it this time.

“We should let him since he wanted to. We shall not turn down his good will,” said Su Han snottily as he looked away from Su Ran’s high heels.

“Oh okay. Thank you for your trouble then.”

“No worries.”

“Em, Lu Shao, your clothes.” When Lu Shao opened up the car door for her, Su Ran noticed some dust on his shirt.

“Hmm?” Lu Shao looked over at where Su Ran was pointing at and saw the marks on his cloth. After a “pardon me”, he took his jacket off and tossed it into the trunk.

What was going through Su Ran’s mind: This man is a germophobe just like her son?

Su Han glared at Lu Shao, his mouth shut tightly and was deep in thought.

The car pulled over in front of Su Ran’s building.

After a cold look over at Lu Shao, Su Han opened up the car door, got out, and started walking toward the building.

He was too frugal and couldn’t be bother to even say a word to Lu Shao the entire time.

Luckily, Mr. Lu seemed to have already gotten used to Su Han’s attitude and didn’t pay him much attention either.

Su Ran, on the other hand, felt somewhat embarrassed, and said, “Em, pardon us.”

“No worries,” said Lu Shao as he got out of the car, walked over to Su Ran’s side, and opened up the car door for her.

“Watch your steps.”

“Uh, thank you,” said Su Ran.

Su Ran was just about to say something else when Su Han, who had already reached the entrance of the building, turned back around and looked in their direction.

“Mom, hurry up and let’s go home.” He cried out to Su Ran from where he was.

Even though Su Ran and Lu Shao kept a polite distance from each other as they stood there but, for some inexplicable reasons, just seeing the man and the woman in his family standing next to each other was enough to irk Su Han.

“Okay, I will. You hurry upstairs and start on your homework.”

“It’s already done.”

“Then work on those exercise books that I bought for you.”

Su Han, “… …”

She ignored the resentful look on her son, turned around, and nodded at Lu Shao. “Thank you for everything today.”

She did not thank him just for the ride home, but mainly for the remodeling team that he had referred to her on their way back.

Even though she had just only reached out to them on WeChat, but she already felt that they were a very reliable crew.

“It’s what I should do,” replied Lu Shao. A mild smile appeared on him.

“Then, would you like to come upstairs?” asked Su Ran.

She swore she only said that because she didn’t know how to polite tell someone that “you can go now”!

She was only just being polite!

Who would have thought that as soon as she finished saying that, Lu Shao would have nodded with no hesitation and said, “Sure.”
