Chapter 29.2 - About University 5 Part 2

Yang Mo was walking out.

There was a lake in the east and west side of Shou Cheng University, which were added in when the university was built. The east campus was nearer to the dormitory building while the west campus was in close vicinity of the cafeteria.

Between the two lakes, one was called ‘forgetting to sleep’ and the other, ‘forgetting to eat’. This name was probably given to specifically address call out people who only knew how to sleep and eat.

‘Forgetting to eat’ was really close to the supermarket. At night, the lake would be lit up, reflecting on the lake along with the lights from the cafeteria. Many couples would take a stroll here as well as old men and women who practiced Tai Chi.

The lake was surrounded by a circle of limestone railings where many people leaned over to look at the scenery.

Yang Mo made his way here with his thoughts all over the place.

But then he took a step back.

Turning around, he glanced at the four people by the railing.

First of all, there was four people there.

It should be.

Yang Mo always believed that people should react accordingly to their physical needs. For example, sunglasses are only used to hide from the sunlight. At night when the light was not at all blinding, there shouldn’t be a need to wear them.

But obviously, the sunglasses on the faces of these four people were not used in such a way.

Then it could only be for its other use.

From the number of girls who intentionally walked past them and the increased rate of heads turning around to look at them, this method of use was probably – to show off and act cool.

Secondly, that four people looked really familiar to him.

Yang Mo: “……”

Three of them leaned back on the stone railing, as if this lake was owned by their family. The other one was lying on the railing while looking into the distance, emitting an aura of ‘I don’t want to be with these three people’, forming a mutually repulsing magnetic field.

Zhou Yi: “Why exactly did I end up here again.”

Han Shi Yu: “As part of the F4, don’t even think about missing out on this.”

Liu Mu had his long hair casually tied up in a loose bun, wearing a jacket that said ‘sixth generation1’ on the back. He waved at the girls who passed by on a shared bike before turning around with a smile, “When we did this the last time, you didn’t come along.”

Zhou Yi pushed away the arms of these two people who were trying to persuade him as he said, “When did I ever say I wanted to join that…” He gritted his teeth and said with difficulty, “…School of Management Fahrenheit2.”

Liu Mu and Han Shi Yu corrected him at the same time, “It’s F4.”

Zhou Yi said, ashamed, “Is there a difference!”

Liu Mu had more female friends than these three combined, plus they were all from different faculties too so he couldn’t stop greeting people throughout.

Meanwhile, Xie Chen Min was quiet the entire time with his eyes fixed on the exit of the supermarket.

Lin Chu went to the electronics section to buy earphones, so he came out later than Yang Mo. Folding his arms while holding the two packets of mushroom chicken stew noodles in one hand, he watched what the four were up to next.

Suddenly, Xie Chen Min righted his expression and said, “Here he comes.”

Lin Chu, carrying a large bag of instant noodles, switched on his phone near the exit and found his bicycle. A white set of earphones was tucked in his ears, a faint fluorescence light reflected on his face.

Han Shi Yu elbowed Zhou Yi.

Zhou Yi remained still on the spot so Liu Mu rushed him again.

Zhou Yi: “Ah—”

Han Shi Yu: “Who lost in the dare will have to dress up in women’s clothes. Should I pull out your handprint for you to see again?”

Zhou Yi had no choice but to force himself to go along with them.

He put on the sunglasses he brought with him.

All of a sudden, their surroundings changed like the clouds in the skies swirled as if they were stirred up by a storm – the pedestrians who looked back, the woman who covered her mouth and muffled her laughs, all of them saw this scene and their movements slowed down.

The four people who walked side by side also slowed down their movements. Some had their hands in their pockets, some of their jackets were fluttering as some ruffled their hair that was being blown away by the wild wind. Their entrance captured the gazes of the people there as people seemed to hear a call ringing from the sky to welcome these ‘famed superstars’.

""

Yang Mo: “……”

If not for their good looks supporting them, this would probably have spread to Shou Cheng University’s online forum as an example for one of the biggest human mysterious behaviors out there.

Lin Chu heard the exclaims and cheers next to him. He turned around and spotted the source of all these noises.

Lin Chu: “……”

Xie Chen Min and the other three took off their sunglasses and smiled at him.

Lin Chu, who basked in more and more stares being thrown his way, was quiet for a moment. Then, he turned his head expressionlessly.

He put on his headphones, unlocked the bicycle lock, hopped on and cycled away.

The famed superstars were left behind just like that.

It seemed like no one is willing to be associated with these four disgraceful creatures.

Xie Chen Min: “Senior—”

Lin Chu cycled even faster, even standing up to ride the bicycle.

A little child who was being held by an old lady titled his head and asked, “Grandma, what are they doing?”

Grandma: “Don’t look.”

Yang Mo propped up his head with a hand. He was not very far from them but he hid himself well in the darkness so he didn’t stand out.

Liu Mu rested an elbow on Xie Chen Min’s shoulder and said, “Bro, perhaps the scale isn’t big enough.”

Xie Chen Min raised an eyebrow, then pointed his chin at an empty bike and said, “Chase.”

“……” Zhou Yi’s voice was cold and disgusted, “I actually still have homework to do tonight.”

Han Shi Yu reminded him, “Women’s clothes, handprint, understand?”

Zhou Yi lost his will to live on.

Just as Han Shi Yu was about to pull out his phone from his pocket, his eyes caught a glimpse of a figure not far away from them.

Yang Mo only took another glance at the crowd, but their gazes ended up meeting.

Yang Mo: “…….”

He suddenly felt a sense of déjà vu with this scene.

As expected, Han Shi Yu blurted out, “Senior?”

The three of them heard his voice and looked over to his direction. The crowd who was also watching with interest did the same.

Expressionless, Yang Mo put on his headphones, zipped up his jacket, turned around and left.

Han Shi Yu: “Ah, senior—”

Yang Mo walked faster and eventually started running.
