‘I shouldn’t keep them waiting it could be very rude. I should dress these clothes right away.’ Upon dressing them as I learned how to from the tutorial via the equipment method, everyone went in awe, startled from such an action as a newborn, a normal one would have done so by wearing them normally since they wouldn’t yet know about the system.

“It seems the successor is quite special this time around, already knowing how to equip items and use one of the blessings of the almighty system,” the queen announced with slight interest and greatly astonished not only by that but also by how articulate my speech already was, grinning widely with inner suspicion but in a way quite grateful. “Truly, a special fairy.”

‘Oops, it seems like I fucked up already. At least, they ended up passing it as a compliment instead.’ I felt a mix of anxiety and happiness from the opportunity and my immediate luck being born as the successor, expecting to be a normal peasant or something even worse like a complete nobody.

“Hello, father and mother, it is my humblest gratitude and pride for being conceived by the two of you.” After speaking I spun myself, showing everyone how well the clothes fit, leaving my wings outside of them, a gimmick of the system.

People around me clapped happily approving of them, giving their blessings one after another with amiable words.

“Long life to the successor!”

“May you bring an ever-standing peace to our forest!”

“Your indigo colors are beautiful!”

“Feel free to marry my son!”

The queen rose her hand to calm those around, and as silence filled the area, they stood in, the woman spoke boldly with a loud tone. “From this day onwards you shall be called Flamerah, as your wings have a red tone, similar to my own!” She grinned widely, and I, too, mimicked her, pleased by the name.

‘A name... it has been a while since I owned one...’

System: Page 2 has been updated, page 4 has been modified, and page 5 has been unlocked.

‘Seems like there were some changes, but now would be a bad time to have a look at them. I’ll check them later.’

I looked at my parents and responded merrily, “I’m truly grateful for this name. It is very lovely.”

Once they heard me, a joyful grin appeared in their expressions, causing those around to cheer us further.

‘I have possibly hundreds if not thousands of fairies surrounding me with glittering eyes, so I must give them a good first impression. A ruler that is not liked will never achieve anything, no matter the world they’re in,’ my thoughts resounded past scenarios, whereas absolute monarchs failed to exude their job, crushed by the people they swore to protect.

My father grasped my attention by extending his arm, pointing at my face with his finger, holding his palm upwards, “your hair and eyes are very beautiful daughter. It’s the first time I see someone with such indigo colors.”

His arm gallantly turned to the side, showing me what he meant. “As you can see, there’s none other like yours.”

This was further pursued by my mother, who approached me with two steps, touching my hair softly, it that went all the way to my shoulders.

“Truly an exquisite color, like the bud you were born in. The god of this world, the system must have blessed you.”

‘What does she mean? How can an entity like the system be a god? That doesn’t make any sense!’

Understanding my place contrary to my thoughts, I decided to go with a childlike approach, voicing innocently a question, “is my color that unusual mother?”

“Yes dear, it is, our ancestors conveyed in the past, that the more exquisite the color, the greater the fairy will be in the future, so I believe you may be quite special.”

At such words, my cheeks took a rosy tone, blushing deeply from her compliment, contrasting delicately with my hair. I then looked at my mother, who had pale skin and my father, who had a more tanned one. From their appearance, my lightly tan skin tone was a mix from both of them even though it had differed in the tutorial. However, such things were likely predestined. In a world where everything may change, it wouldn’t be strange to end up with a completely different appearance or even a new race.

“Mother, you have very beautiful red hair and also wings that look like flames,” I added cutely, pleased with her appearance, flapping my wings softly, unconsciously, as I didn’t yet have control over them. This caused my mother to blush and feel happy at my compliment, realizing that my words were sincere. After all, like animal tails, the wings served as an emotional indicator, something I hadn’t yet learned.

“Thank you, dear. I wonder what job you’ll get at the upcoming ceremony.”

“Job? Ceremony?” I questioned her loud enough to be heard by the two of them, further pondering on the matter. ‘Wondering what I’ll get, I do remember seeing something about it during the tutorial... I think?’

The queen raised one finger in the air, indicating that there was still time, and in a way to warn the daughter to be patient as now was not the time, “it is still one year too early for that, however, soon you’ll be able to get a random job given by the system the almighty entity that controls this world.”

‘Do they really think the system is a higher entity? I wonder if there is something I can do about that.’

The king clapped twice strongly, grabbing everyone’s attention, “the party to celebrate our successor’s birth will now start.”
