"Well then, I'll be closing the tutorial now and teleport everyone to the blue paved area."
'This means that I got to be the sole winner right?' Without having the time to put my thoughts into words. I appeared in a blue floating soul form, unlike the physical body I had been till now, along with 29 others. None with the permission or ability to talk. 'The fox lady the one that died second was the goddess of fortune? I wonder if we'll keep the memories of the ranking.' Inwardly I smiled, satisfied with discovering the appearance of one of her enemies. 'If the other players memorized their opponents as they died they should know more or less who is who, even though in the end, I'll have to defeat every single one of them.'
'The only one who knows my identity would be the goddess of fortune if she sees me again in the game world. I'll have to assassinate her when that day comes.' Resolute with a side goal to purge all of the foxkin, wishful thinking prevailed till the aftermath of the tutorial and the beginning of the game.
'For someone that used to be lucky, she sure met quite the unlucky scenario. In comparison, the unfortunate one is placed 10, just shows that all our skills were truly removed.'
Further to the right, the second in rank thought astonished of the first place, 'to think there would be anyone that would survive in a war for longer than me, the overseer candidate truly needs to die first before she gets too strong.' He too held the top ten as a sample of people to be wary of when the game started. Even if it would still take ten years till they'd be able to fight one another.
A different soul's thought danced further behind the god of war spot. 'I wonder what trick she used to win this game, in other words, if the game is truly balanced and she received no help, then the skill must be extraordinarily effective for being outnumbered.' The god of wisdom acknowledged her efforts.
"It's a shame my skill didn't work on the invincible ones, otherwise I would have been able to survive till the very end. I question myself as to what tricks god of war and the candidate have up to their sleeve, purely based on the type of tutorial it was I can tell that 10 lives won't be enough to win this game alone. I must make allies without telling anyone of my true identity.' The goddess of beauty began considering a preplan as defeating the top ten could very well require the help of many others. In a game of skills and power, everything was possible, and allies could without a doubt become a great key to victory.
Above a little stage and below the screen mister worm appeared, changing through a transformation of sorts to a man in a black outfit and a similar-toned hat, the overseer.
'My one true enemy as an innocent little green worm, what a joke. I shall seal you along with your representative forever once I become true,' madness crawled inside the white being, the guardian who kept order throughout the universe, having sought the death and the board of the overseer. And ironically as it was, he found himself stuck inside of it.
The gentle referee began a long speech, announcing everything that was worthy.
"Welcome gentlemen, it seems like a lot of you enjoyed killing each other some unknowingly and others with such awareness. Some of you even had the luxury to torture and violate your opponents, others suffered such disparities from the monsters I allowed to roam free."
The many thoughts resounded angrily at him, but more than anyone else the goddess of fortune was at its peak, 'you filthy pig of a man, after I beat this game you'll be the one violated by a monster of my own!'
He coughed twice before moving onwards with the explanation.
"Regarding the prizes, from 20 to 30 you'll be allowed to keep the inventory, and the weapons you lost will be duplicated and one copy returned to you along with everything you found, that'll be the consolation prize. Thank you for participating in the tutorial, I wish you better luck in the game world."
11 souls vanished from the blue area as soon as his words ended.
'What a crappy prize they received, if they weren't my enemies I'd feel sorry for them,' the god of darkness thought entertained inside, finding it hilarious.
"From 11 to 19, you'll keep what I just said plus a special necklace," 9 more souls vanished promptly.
"From 5 to 10, an extra ring will be added," 6 more souls vanished.
"From 2 to 4, another ring will be given," 3 more souls vanished.
"For the first place, another unique skill from a roulette will be given."
"Let's see if you have better luck this time around princess," he smiled charmingly making the blue soul turn slightly rosy, blushing internally. A roulette appeared in front of us and then it spun.
Once it stopped I vanished into the world like the rest of the other souls.
"Enjoy your new life and long adventure," the overseer muttered with a melancholy tone, doing a bow of respect knowing that he could not cheat as a seal would follow him upon the contract with the game board.
