I struggled to my feet after waking up with the girl's assistance. It seems I was resting inside a coffin just now. There were other people around the room too. They were celebrating my awakening for some reason. Am I someone of importance to them? The girl then clung to me tightly before being reprimanded by what I assume is the medic.

"Doctor, do you remember me? It's Amiya. We've come to rescue you." (Amiya)

My body is slowly starting to adapt to my surroundings. I could feel my hoarse throat from my efforts to open my mouth.

I pushed the two mysterious voices in my head aside for now by shaking my head. The girl...Amiya told me I was a member of an organization called Rhodes Island.

Suddenly, I heard loud sounds of something breaking, pulling my thoughts back to reality. There was shouting about someone attacking. Is this place not safe!?

"Everyone, be careful! Take cover, and protect the Doctor! Why is Reunion here!?" (Amiya)

A group of people in white hoodies and masks barged into the room. Adrenaline was kicking in my body. I could tell at a glance that they weren't friendly in the slightest.

[Gekkoukan's One-Eyed Monster]: Oi, things are starting to heat up out of nowhere!

[Singularity Found at the End]: I don't like the looks of that group. Doctor, you should stick close with those people who rescued you.

"Doctor, we need your help to command us! I know we're asking a lot...but we've through so much together. I still believe in your power to bring us victory." (Amiya)

"...We've got no choice but to fight back, right?" (Doctor)

"Then...Please take command...of Rhodes Island!" (Amiya)

And chaos descended. I don't know how, but I took command effectively immediately like muscle memory. I was able to guide Amiya and her group around the first group of people attacking us. We managed to subdue them...but I don't think it will be the last we have to fight. And strangely, the two voices in my head were finally quiet as the tension brewing in the air kept growing.

 

 

 

Two people from different worlds had expressions of solemnity. Arisato Minato and Miyama Kaito were watching everything that had transpired since the Doctor's awakening from their screens. They watched as the Doctor's group were carefully weaving around their surroundings, trying to avoid as much fighting as they can from the mysterious group called Reunion infesting every corner of the streets. They noticed...the more they encountered, the more bloodied the scene became.

Broken asphalt. Streetlamps out. The humid air. The sound of gunfire. Lack of people in the streets and windows.

"...Alice, you're seeing everything, right?" (Kaito)

"...Kaito-san, I can guess what it is you're thinking about. But are you sure you want to go through with it?" (Alice)

"...I don't know. It's just..." (Kaito)

His blood ran cold seeing the terror and twistedness in the eyes of Doctor. It wasn't like it was his problem, nor was that the world he lived in. He felt it was more than comfortable staying as an observer where he was safe.

"...Just..." (Kaito)

Despite that, his heart felt clenched.

(I don't know if anything I do can make a difference over there...however...wouldn't it be regretful if Doctor died?) (Kaito)

He built up a relationship with Minato like that of kouhai and senpai. All thanks to the group chat. Now, a third person had appeared. They had no relationship to speak of compared to what he had with Minato. But there had to be a reason for Doctor to be chosen as a part of their growing group during the critical moment he was in. That was how Kaito seen it.

And unknowingly, at the corner of his eyes, he had been looking. He was looking, an action shared much with Minato in his world.
